We've been coming to this park for years, and it continues to feel like a hidden gem tucked into the neighborhood. Parking is limited to street parking only -- there's no dedicated lot -- so it can fill up quickly during evenings and weekends.
The park has two large pavilions with plenty of seating, perfect for birthdays, picnics, or group gatherings. I've seen everything from small family parties to large celebrations here. They have 2 bathrooms. There's also a sand volleyball pit, two full baseball fields, and a large playground area that keeps kids entertained for hours.
As a dog owner, I appreciate that the park has multiple trash and recycling bins, so I never have to carry waste bags for long. The fields are mostly well-maintained, though there are a few areas with gopher holes -- something to watch for if you're running or walking dogs off-leash.
The only downside is that the park occasionally attracts a few transient individuals or trailers parked nearby for extended periods. It hasn't felt unsafe, but it's worth being aware if you visit with kids or during late hours.
Overall, this park offers great value for the community -- plenty of space, activities for all ages, and a welcoming vibe. It's one of our go-to spots for casual walks and weekend outings with the dogs. read more
