The Baseline: For a national park/monument visitor's center the facility must be informative, have…read moregreat exhibits, and have a park rangers that are knowledgeable of one of the United States' greatest ideas ever implemented that is the National Parks of America. Facility: The New Orleans Jazz/Jean Lafitte French Quarter Visitors Center is a clean, well presented center with great displays and a well organized gift store. Personnel: The park rangers were friendly and informative about the activities in the park. We were given several suggestions of visiting the preserve and the local battlefield as well as information on those locations. The rangers have to be public relations and gift shop customer service at the same time so be kind to your National Park Ranger. They also run programs to educate on the parks and monuments. Stamps: You can get your passport stamps next to the gift shop and Ranger's info station. Special note: If you have young kids or want to be a kid yourself make sure to take advantage of the Junior Rangers program. You will learn and enjoy the National Park more that way.

In the middle of the day on day 5 of our 5 day trip to NOLA, we needed a break from all the walking…read morebut we had already checked out of our air bnb so we had no where that we could just hang out and rest from all the walking and to top it off, it was the hottest day of all the days we were there. Luckily I remembered this Visitor's Center from our last trip! Look, it's not that big nor is the (we'll call it the) mini-museum very appealing but it's a great place w/ a restroom, air-conditioning and insanely helpful people to guide you in the right direction if you're looking for something specific in town. And if it's not too hot, their little courtyard is a nice place to take a break and take some pictures :)

To walk through the French Quarters listening to local musicians playing while the sun shines…read morebright is definitely an experience to remember. You're experiencing colonial architecture, lots of history and local ppl willing to tell you about it outside of the tourist industry. Lots of street music and food Now, you will experience urine smells so walk fast in those sections. Excited about some "me" time to explore the New Orleans on foot, I just knew Jackson Square would…read morebe an excellent place to start my adventure. ++ I made my way here mid to late morning on a weekday and found that it was actually quite peaceful. ++ Chock full of history, Jackson Square features really informative plaques commemorating the rich history surrounding the square. ++ Matteo R puts it best when describing the luxurious vegetation throughout the plaza, including the banana trees and velvety green grass. ++ Catching some tunes from the steam calliope docked nearby on the Big Muddy really made the visit even more special. I'd highly recommend stopping by Jackson Square if you're looking for something unique and relatively quiet (depending on when you stop by) during your visit to New Orleans.

Good thing we reserved parking in advance. The lot was full if you didn't not reserve. Port employees were super nice and there were no crowds. Upon our return, they were the same, very efficient with our luggage and directed us every step of the way. We had no confusion on where to go, they were so organized. We went from ship to our car and on the freeway within about 30 minutes.

I had to get my passport photo taken on the third floor, and while it was a bit pricey, the process was still manageable. Finding the passport office was somewhat difficult there are no clear signs in Canal Place, and there are no chairs in the lobby, which made waiting a little uncomfortable. I arrived at 7:15 am for my 7:30 am appointment, and the process itself was very smooth. Everything moved quickly, and I received a call around 11:00 am letting me know my passport was ready. Overall, the experience was straightforward and efficient, and I was able to catch my 3:30 pm flight with no issues. Appreciate yall!

I got notification from the apartment of state that they received my application for renewal on August 20th 2025. I have made 53 calls in the last 6 months and no one not a single person and tell me why my renewal is hanged up so long. But Trump in office everything sucks.
