I got the mascara-done caramel banana pancake, which the server told us was a popular item. My husband got the salmon with cream cheese, and he said that was amazing. So unlike other places that usually stack pancakes and then put the topping at the top, this each layer has the filling, so each layer of the salmon pancake has cream cheese and salmon. The pancakes were very good and also seemed very healthy as far as pancakes go - everything was perfectly balanced. The halloumi and avocado as well as the hummus were layered in the stack so every bite had something in it. The karak latte was also very good with a smooth flavour. I appreciated that they could make it with alternative milk since most places I've been to that serve this will only do it with dairy. I also ordered a slaný šnek with bacon pastry and a cold brew coffee. My first time having the pastry and I was delighted with the tasted. A pleasant sight and an even better taste. Tasting the cold brew was quite the experience as well. Wonderful tasting coffee and the euphoric caffeine kick which accompanied it. At this time, I was also able to dig into some of their lemonade which was fermented. Tasting like a kombucha, it was delicious and settled my stomach incredibly. The Karlin breakfast came out soon after, about 10 minutes later. Sizable to say the least, it was two eggs on bread with their marinated trout. Eggs tasted wonderfully, fish tasted fresh, and smothered in the hollandaise created a delicious breakfast. Following that, I dug into the curd cheese with berries. So sweet and perfect in portion to end a meal, I savored every bite. A wonderful covered outdoor seating area, fresh local ingredients, and diverse dishes of every kind made for a great experience here. The kindness the staff showed, and calm atmosphere facilitates the perfect environment for the food to dance in. Sat here for quite a while at this sidewalk cafe just enjoying the warm Fall day but enjoying even more the coffee and wonderful food. You order inside and your order is brought out (cafe service is still very wait staff based). Servers are courteous and efficient. All speak English but certainly helps to speak Czech. Very much worth a stop if you are near for a light breakfast or light lunch with a wonderful street side atmosphere.
