It was determined that she needed long term care & was moved from the "rehab" floor to the "residential" floor. I wasn't notified of this change. My mother's room is nothing but a low budget hospital room with a cabinet & small dresser. One for her, one for her roommate. There's no chair(s) for a visitor & the t.v is questionable. She doesn't even have a phone. My mother was taken to the hospital to have her feeding tube removed, a 24hr trip that turned into a week. Again, I wasn't informed! Some of the staff is great, but they can only do so much. Management is changing often so the consistency sucks & you never know who to talk to. For the money my mother's being charged things should be much better.

Next day she was in medical center she did have a stroke and they didn't Notice for over 24 hours. When you call the nurse station they leave you on hold for over 18 mins (I just hung up). Trying to find the company that owns them IT IS NOT ALARIS HEALTH. They just license the name from them. My cousin has often been thirsty and cannot get water. The care quality is below bare minimun. There is so much more to say about them. It doesn't change because they keep changing owners.

While she was here, she took a turn for the worst. She hated being here and my family and I thought it was simply her missing home, but no. One night we get a call that my grandmother fell and had a gash on her head that needed stitches. First, we were told she tripped on wires while she tried to get a remote. Which we believed. Then, when we called back to get a final report of how she fell and landed herself in the hospital at 12am. No one knew anything And couldn't give any answers until this day. After my grandmother was taken back to this sorry excuse of a rehab, we get a call about two weeks later saying she was threatening the employees there. They called an ambulance to have my grandmother evaluated. The psychiatrist said that my grandmother told her she was being threatened by the employees there and that she was begging not to go back. Imagine getting this call in the middle of the night. The psychiatrist stated that we shouldn't let my grandmother go back to the rehab and that she believed her. She said she sees many elderly people come into the hospital speaking similarly and they don't have advocates. This place is scum and if you love your family member don't send them there. And if you must send them there don't let a man named Franklin or a woman named Christina near them.

Update (March 2026): After my original review, I was contacted by management and informed that reimbursement for the dentures that were discarded while my mother was a resident would be processed. I subsequently received an email confirming that the payment was being processed. However, despite that assurance, I have not been provided with a mailing date or confirmation that the check has been issued, and I continue to be told only that the reimbursement is "still in process." For that reason, it is not accurate to characterize this matter as resolved at this time.

When the owner, Ann, called she was just as unfriendly as the nameless entity that represents her business. Ann told me, quite rudely, after i laid out that i wanted someone to come to my grandmothers home 3 days a week for 4 hours a day, That the time i needed someone to watch my grandmother was not worth it to the caretakers and if i couldnt bump the time up to at least 6 hours a day no one would take the job and it would be a 'revolving door of caretakers'. I understand what she was saying, but she reduced my elderly grandmother, that i care deeply about, to a job and a job that isnt worth it to the people she chose to surround herself with and represent her brand. I cannot figure out how am i supposed to trust Ann enough to have someone she chose watch my grandmother, largely unsupervised, when she cant even get it together enough to sound slightly kind at all over the phone. Speaking to her offended me, made me feel like i was imposing on her, and also like my grandmother was too burdensome for Ms. Ann without a larger payout. Not feelings that made my heart smile about handing thousands of dollars to her. If Evergreen choice's over the phone service is so unfriendly and brusque i cant imagine their caretakers are much kinder. Not the sort of people i would want looking after my freaking grandmother. Whatever entity on behalf of evergreen choice answered their phone needs to be retrained and Ann needs to take a hard look at her branding strategy. The way to get people to pay you is NOT to tell them that the person they care about isnt worth it or lucrative enough for you. Meanie.
