We had called for our beloved Aunt. Needless to say were disappointed…read more If they actually did what they say they did they would be wonderful indeed. Our Aunt doesn't need someone to hold her hand, or bathe her. She needs someone doto what this website claims they do! False advertising is putting it mildly/ We should have posted this review months ago, but things got away from us. Sorry about that. Drectly from their website- NONE of these services are available. Light Housekeeping Our caregivers can assist with light housekeeping services that include cleaning kitchens, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning bathrooms, taking out the trash and recycling, cleaning interior windows that can be reached without a ladder, organizing closets and drawers, and general tidying around the home. Pet Care Pets can be extremely important to a senior's mental, emotional, and physical health. Nevertheless, caring for a pet can become more challenging with age. Our caregivers can help ensure that pets are getting the attention they need to stay healthy and happy; by feeding and grooming pets, and taking dogs on walk. Yard Work While fresh air and sunlight can do wonders for a senior's outlook, too much yard work can become taxing. Our caregivers can assist with mowing, weeding, planting flowers, pruning and other outdoor projects. Seniors can participate to whatever degree they are interested and able. Go on their website and you can see more false claims. What a pity. I think my husband spoke to the owner Sylvia. She was taken aback, almost seemed insulted that we expected services stated from her website. Oh my!

After having a very difficult respite experience at another facility last year, I was extremely nervous about trying again. As a caregiver, leaving someone you love in the care of others is not easy. From the moment we walked into Putnam Ridge, I felt a difference. We were warmly welcomed, the facility was clean and smelled clean, the residents were well cared for, and everyone we encountered was friendly and spoke to us. I talked to my mom almost every day while I was away, and hearing how strong and comfortable she sounded gave me a sense of peace I did not have last year. For the first time, I was actually able to relax on vacation knowing my mom was safe and being cared for. To the staff of the Apple Memory Care Unit, thank you for caring for my mom and for giving this caregiver something just as valuable: PEACE OF MIND. Respite care is not only about caring for our loved ones. It allows caregivers to rest, recharge, and breathe, knowing the person they love is in good hands. Thank you, Putnam Ridge. This experience meant more to me than you know.
