Events are all run by PTO and volunteers except for choir concerts, science fair, art fair etc. and they do a decent job. I want to volunteer IN my kids class. But there aren't many opportunities for that as they reach higher grades. The principal is aloof and doesn't have a level of investment at the school. The staff (aside from her,) are wonderful. So caring and so supportive. She lacks follow up, initiative and just general CARE. She can't even pronounce the names of long term teachers. What garbage. That staff cares SO much for the students. And the Vice Principal SHOULD be running the show. She is everything a leader should be. I cannot even grasp how the Principal makes the salary she does with the true lack of care and investment in the school. My son has a year left and then we are moving on. Aside from her it's been wonderful but she has truly made the school LESS in every way.

Our concerns were unwarranted and I cannot say enough positive things about our experiences over the past several months. The staff at Faith are fabulous.The staff all go out of their way to create a positive learning environment that strives to teach our children to become responsible citizens. They push him academically but do so in a spiritual, caring and attentive manner. The class sizes are small and foster a positive learning environment. There truly is a "Faith Family" feeling to all of our interactions with the school, both in and out of the classroom. We couldn't feel more welcome or blessed. Our son has made many friends and most importantly he comes home happy each and every day. We raved so much about our experiences that our dear friends are moving their daughter from a different Christian private high school to Faith in 2020-21. If you are looking for a Christian school you should consider Faith; I have no reservations in fully recommending them.

In a world where education puts kids in a box, The Catlin Gabel School is a refreshing tangent. I am so impressed with the students who have attended this school. They are the most mature kids who have been educated in a way that brings out the best of their gifts and abilities. Last year I had a student intern from Catlin at my place of business and I was so impressed. She was able to produce a professional video that reached the heart of my acupuncture practice and business. The first thought for most is that they cannot afford the school, but they have a complete system for financial grants and scholarships based on what you can realistically afford. According to the website: "More than one-quarter of the student body receives financial assistance through need-based grants and special scholarships. Grant and scholarship awards are not loans and do not have to be paid back. In 2013-14, we allocated over $3.4 million in financial aid to families with annual household incomes primarily in the range of $15,650 to $170,000. Award grants ranged from $1,830 to $25,750 and averaged $16,235." We hope our boys can attend this school next year or in the future and we applying for the 2014-15 school year. They have been so accommodating to my schedule and the kids absolutely love their days at this school. If I could give a 6 star rating I would. There are some days that I pick them up and they are bummed to leave. The learning curriculum is top-notch as well. I trust every teacher there and I know they want the best for my kiddos. The staff were kind, dedicated, and many of them had been there for years. Now, more than a decade later, my grandchildren are attending the same school, and it's amazing to see so much has stayed the same in the best possible way. The same owners and director are still there, and I still see many familiar faces when I pick up my grandchildren from time to time. That kind of consistency speaks volumes. Learning Years is truly a special place. The care they show for the children and families is genuine, and it's clear that their top priority is always the well-being of the kids. Attended the spring band concert. Jazz, concert, symphonic and wind ensemble bands treated us to a…read morenight of varied and skillfully done pieces. This is a large hs (~2500) so each offering was medium to large in scale. We enjoyed it immensely but the wind ensemble captured our attention most due to my g'son composing and conducting one of the pieces. All in all a great program and these students should be proud!
