Went to pick up glasses. Watched employees rudely address a customer who was just following them and accidentally went behind an unmarked counter. While I was standing at the same counter I was loudly accused of violating HIPAA policies because I was looking at new styles of glass cases. I know all about HIPAA because I worked as a medical manager for 20 years. I didn't do anything wrong. I was embarrassed because she blurted this out in front of multiple people as if I was a child. Desperate. SOS. I broke my only pair of eyeglass frames. Stopped in to Visionworks. Suzanne greeted me as I walked in the door. She turned out to be my life preserver! My frame was on it's last bow. Ha ha. The frame was unrepairable! She grabbed some super glue and gave me a temporary fix until I buy my next set of glasses. Looking around, I saw happy people in there looking to buy new glasses or sunglasses. All the staff smiled from ear-to-ear. I started looking for my next pair of glasses. They had tons of different frames. The cost varies from frame to frame. I felt they were comparable to other vision stores. The layout of the store was very organized. They have great space for trying on frames. The store was very clean. You know how sometimes you see a lot of stuff laying around or a lot of Knick knacks cluttered up? This was far from that! I went into this store to shop for a new pair of glasses on the morning of 8-9-24. I walked in and went to the counter, i noticed one customer with a child who was clearly being helped by an employee. There was another woman sitting behind the counter who was also an employee doing nothing. I stood there for a solid 5 minutes and was not so much as acknowledged by anyone. I turned around and walked out the door. Make no mistake, this kind of behavior from employees IS a warning as to the type of overall service you are likely to recieve as a paying customer if you were to purchase glasses from this place. The same holds true for any place of business, not just this visonworks store. Learn to recognize bad businesses and employee's. Take those warning signs to heart and take your money elsewhere. Let's just say. Won't be back. Horrible customer service. Post cataract surgery. Went in for an interim set of eye glasses. 2:30 in the afternoon and there was one employee in the floor. Kept telling everyone who came in, I'll be with you when I can. When I walked in, there was one in front of me. 25 minutes later. The clerk came over to me, asked me what I was here for and got my insurance card. The. Wen to help the next person that came in. After another 20 minutes, I decided that I was done waiting. Place is ok, strangest staff I've ever encountered in a long while. I wouldn't recommend but if you're in a pinch it will do.

VERY BAD customer service I called the store to ask them to send me a copy of my prescription since Im out of state I can not go into the store. the person I was on the phone with told me that she could not email me fax me but that I can somehow find my perscription on the website vissionworks.com then I offered an alternative which was to send someone I know to the store so they could hand them my prescription. I looked online for hours and could not find it. I called headquarters they checked the system found my account but the store did not save my information on the computer as they were supposed to. Keep in mind that I was told I can have access to my prescription online. So then I sent someone over to pick up my perscription in person, keep in mind the store had the name of the person picking up my perscription whom which has my permission to have access to my things since I clearly am unable to. Soon after the person I sent to get my prescription gets there and tells me that they refused to hand over my perscription but that they could mail it to me wherever I am.......??????...that doesn't make sense I was told to do all this and the other I need my things right away im a traveling nurse....I should be able to have access to my records but these people refuse to give me what I am asking for. read more

Always helpful to adjust my glasses or insert a lens that has popped out. (Older glasses that have seen better days.) My eye sight fluctuates and I have to change off different prescriptions. There is never any hesitation for providing good service. I encourage other people to try Visionworks for several reasons: Quality of product, service, prices, selection . . . Poor customer service. I showed up for my appointment and waited in my vehicle until my time to go inside. I walked in at the exact time of my appointment and was told that because I was late (by one minute), I could not be seen and would have to reschedule. They explained that they were fully booked and very busy that day. However, no other customers were in the store and my vehicle was the only one in the parking lot. When I went in for my newly rescheduled appointment, I showed up 30 minutes early and had to wait nearly an hour. The workers seemed stressed. Additionally, when I went in for my exam, the doctor was not ready for me. I sat in the chair while he worked on the previous patients chart. Patient information was clearly visible. I sure hope they don't treat my information this way because I don't want other people knowing my information and I'm sure it's a HIPAA violation. read more

People are better off finding a reputable eye care place other than this place. I wasted my only visit covered by insurance. I know my eyes changed this previous 12 months and the doc says "just a little" different than a year ago. The script is so far off it is not worth getting filled, yes, I tried telling him that but what do I know? Take your money and insurance (if lucky) and run the other way. After talking to several folks about the place, all had the same response. Never again. Now I'm stuck saving for an exam by an "eye doctor" because I need it before 2021. If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would! They got my Rx wrong and then the lady who helped me had attitude and her business casual dress code was a black shirt that was too big and was low cut allowing her bra to show and her tummy. This along with her attitude was distasteful and she didn't even seem to know much about her job let alone do her job. She was also supposed to do a reversal with my insurance company and said she had but really she hadn't at all! This place is a joke with lots of red flags that I should have just left from the get go! Very unprofessional, horrible customer service and they can't even keep you Rx right and tell you you have a Rx, next that you don't need anything to just needing reading glasses! I needed negative and they did positive which can really hurt my vision more from my understanding. Not a good business! read more

Good place but kinda expensive compared to other places. Got 2 pairs of glasses (for me and my sister), which $29 for each eye exam and buy one get one free frame. Ended up paying about $600 for 2 full pairs of glasses. ( I got 2 pairs of glasses for myself last year at America's Best for $315). However, they do have so many nice frame styles and I'm really happy with my glasses so far. read more

Seemed like the fast food of eyecare in my eye exam. I will never go back. Went to get my glasses repaired to fix a screw back in the Spring of 2018. They took my glasses to the back and my lens were given back to me with a crack in them (probably from being over tightened). They denied it was them and refused to claim fault for something I was certain was theirs. Similar incidence with a friend of mine where they refused to replace his glasses after snapping them in half right across the bridge of the glasses. I have never written a review before, but this horrible service inclined me to do so. If it were an option I would have given 0 stars! read more

Both my kids had eye exams on Saturday. 9 & 10 years old and apparently bent on being uncooperative. Dr. Wise was very patient, yet persistent and worked with them to make sure that they had a comprehensive and accurate exam. I was thoroughly impressed. My son has gotten his glasses two other times, and we have never had an issue with the insurance, the doctors or anything. read more
