I'm an out-of-state visitor who took a nasty fall and badly broke her eyeglasses' frame on the…read moreFriday just before Easter. I'm heading back East on Sunday and spent my Saturday afternoon trying one optician after another hoping for a temporary frame for my lenses, which survived the fall. One optician after another explained that the lenses' unusual shape made it impossible to find a matching frame. A few took some time looking and others did not even bother. At my final stop, Eyeglass World, I providentially hit the jackpot. Chris just wouldn't give up looking until she found a near-match for the lens shape, then called in their technician Scott to further narrow the options. He somehow, magically adapted a new frame to my lenses. I was only charged for the frame, a handsome, modestly priced item. This was by any standard over and above any expected level of service, delivered with kindness and no fanfare whatsoever. In the time it took to retrofit my damaged glasses, I had a chance to experience the vibe at Eyeglass World, which was warm and inviting. It raised my already good feelings about Lincoln and its business community by several notches. Thank you, you saved my trip!

I purchased my most recent pair of glasses from this place and all i can say is "BE WARNED"…read more The old women working here are incompetent at best. I had a full eye exam, picked out a frame, and told the woman i want the best lens you have. She took my old glasses in the back, obviously clamped them in some type of fixture and scratched the lens beyond ever being able to use them again. Mind you they were high dollar prism lens not just a bi-focal lens. That $900 pair of glasses are now garbage. The lens they put in the new frames are clearly some sort of cheap plastic garbage imported from china. I have had them since January 2024 and they are scratched beyond belief from normal day to day use. Mind you i am retired, i rarely go anyplace or do much of anything. The glasses rarely leave my head and they most certainly do not get abused. It seems anything that contacts the lens scratches them. This place is selling garbage and charging premium prices for it. I wont be back. Buyer beware....

She said she buys their frames & only wants to sell her frames. She also can't adjust frames well. She said "that's just the way the frame is made" Very poor communication between the 3 stores. They operate as if each is under different management. They are not a business approved by the BBB. They will not provide a warranty to the customer even after purchase. Cara Dolberg messaged me finally and stated "we don't have a written warranty." She's the groups business manager and is at office at 27th location. Best to go elsewhere for warrantied frames and lenses!!!!

I've also never had issues with my prescription glasses, and if someone does have an issue, they are quick to make sure it is resolved. I have a terrible fear of the eye doctor, and they are so comforting in making sure they don't do anything to trigger a panic attack. Things like this make me not want to go anywhere else. Big shoutout to Dr Kelsey Reeves, she is so knowledgeable and made my exam comforting, especially when I had to come back for a second exam due to another location's mistake, she took the time to double check my prescription and also look at my other pair I got from another location to see why I couldn't see through them.

So this issue is with company policy. My lenses, after a year began to crack right at the point where the screw is to tighten and loosen the frame around the lens- right by the hinge. I paid over $675 for my lenses and asked if they would replace them free of charge. I was told that the standard warranty for lenses was only 30 days. Or I could have purchased an extended warranty for a year, which in my mind is simply a money making gimmick for this company as it is for most others who use it. I was also told that certain prescriptions can cause lenses to crack which I found surprising since, 1) I have never heard that before in 50 years of wearing glasses and 2) the stress cracking was where the frame tightened around the lens. They did offer to replace them at a 30% discount, but I did not want to do business with a company that won't stand behind an expensive product for more than 30 days.

I went online that night and found the same frames in a different color online and called the store the next day to ask if it would be possible to order them in that color. The associate said she would call around other stores and call me back. The morning of my appointment (one full week later) I called and said I still haven't heard anything and she said she was way too busy to call but she would look before my appointment that afternoon and call me back. I went to my appointment and told the receptionist/ associate that nobody had called me still and she said she was still too busy. The doctor came out and said she needed to make my request a priority and the associate got mad about it but finally helped me. I told her the color I was looking at, the style number and SKU from the target website. She started calling and was very sarcastic on the phone and giving the person the wrong information. She told the doctor she couldnt find them and made a huge deal about it. A new worker came on shift and she said she could just order them with my lenses. She did this and said they would be in within 14 days and I paid for them before I left. Two days later I get a call from the optical store manager, Kathleen, saying she could not get those frames even though I already paid for them. She said she was going to cancel the order and I said no but she kept arguing with me. Eventually she ordered the other color. I contacted corporate and filed a complaint against the manager and because I was not getting the item I paid for a week later still nobody has contacted me. I DO NOT recommend this store even though the eye doctor herself is awesome, the rest of the staff is NOT. Do not waste your time or money here
