Sabrina was the most helpful vision sales associate I've ever met. I'd just come from my eye exam where I learned that I needed to be evaluated for cataract surgery. I was kinda freaked out and definitely wasn't sure if I should get computer glasses until I was ready for the evaluation or wait until I was evaluated, in the event I didn't need glasses at all. She talked me off the ledge (lol) and helped me determine I should see how long it would take to get the next dr appt before moving forward. She entered all my info so it would be in their system, no matter what path I took. I ended up not being able to get evaluated for a month, so I returned a few days later, and once more she was super helpful with my order and getting me squared away in some computer glasses to help me through until the next part of my eye care journey. Bought a $600 pair of glasses and wanted silicone pad changed out in noise piece. 10 minutes job. Unfortunately Sabrina store mrg said I would have to leave them for 24hrs. I bought many glasses from Vision Wrks. Never had to leave them. Sabrina had a bad attitude as if she hates her job. Should not in customer service with that attitude. Now. Just make sure when you go that you see Anelle. My first encounter was with a different woman who quoted me $995 for two eyeglasses glasses with prescription!! Our eyesight is not that bad. I even explained to her that it was a bit too much considering I was going to be paying out of pocket. She did her math again and said the best she could do was $900. Thankfully, I didn't go through with the order. I went back after Labor Day weekend. The lady who originally helped me was not there (thank goodness!) and instead Anelle helped us. When she did the quote again, it came out to far much less than what the previous woman quoted me. It was about $450!! I was perplexed and didn't understand why we were previously quoted so much more before. We did the math and even with adding ALL the extras that were not needed it would have still come out to less than $900. This is scary because who knows how many other people are paying way more than what is required. Especially, to those like myself - paying out of pocket. So, please make sure you see someone there who knows what they are doing and don't trust everyone you come across. If something sounds ridiculous it's probably because it is! See Anelle who seems more truthful. For a bit more detail: the glasses were on special: buy one get one free. And to reiterate our sight is not bad! We didn't need all the upgrades. Horrible service after purchase. -They don't even clean your lenses for you. -They don't even clean your lenses for you. --They don't try to help you with your glasses you purchased from them. -They don't honor discount quotes over the phone. After you spend hours choosing the glasses, they tell you that they will not honor the sales representative discount quotes over the phone even if it was verified by their representative who gave you the quote. read more

Went in to get lenses for my frames. First time I was told to be almost $500 because they would not believe the website when I pulled up for My VSP coverage. So I had to get an email and print it out and show it to them and then it dropped down to 398 for cheap CR 39 lenses not polycarbonate. I told them that I had just been at America's. Best got polycarbonate lenses, transitions add-on and also anti-reflective and scratch resistant for $227 without insurance. I said this to them and she said oh well. Thank you and let me walk out the door. Terrible customer service. Very overpriced. Definitely shop around to their competitors. read more

Wow. I've had glasses most of my life, all my kids have glasses and even my husband wears glasses. So I am pretty experienced in the purchase of glasses. This place (specific location) is the WORST at trying to purchase glasses. If they are a brand new prescription to trying to replace a lost pair, it is like pulling teeth! Oh and make sure you don't mention another vision works because they don't share records! When I bought a new pair for my son in December I waited 2 hours to even be seen to order his glasses not to mention the 2 hours to get the eye examine! Then they called me to pick up and they weren't even ready! I just called to get a replacement pair and the lady was giving me every excuse why she Did NOT know if I could replace them! His RX wasn't over a year old, then she needed to see if we still had the frames THEN she needed to know if we used insurance. It took her 20 mins just to tell me all that! There has to be an easier, faster way to do your job! Not going back. read more

I visited last Saturday. The young lady who helped me, I believe her name was Ashley was great. I didn't have my vision card, couldn't remember who I was with, told her my medical insurance before finally remembering who I had. Throughout it all she stayed patient, nice, polite and with a smile. I felt terrible. After we got the insurance settled she asked what I was looking for/needing, how often I would use them and never tried to up sell me. She got me fitted and I was out. My glasses were done in an hour and I'm pretty blind lol. Will definitely be visiting again for any future needs. read more

I got both of my daughters glasses here for the first time and i will not make the same mistake again. I have been going to this Visionworks for at least 5 years, and have nothing short of great service each time. The staff is friendly and willing to stick with you to decide on frames, or back off and let you do your own thing. They explain each addition such as non-glare, hd, adaptive, etc but truly leave the decision up to you. I never go anywhere else for glasses! read more

Just left Visionworks a very happy customer! We were assisted by the general manager, Karla G. and she was beyond helpful. When we first entered the store we were immediately greeted with a smile and since there were a few people ahead of us we were told to look at some glasses since that was our main reason for our visit. After my husband selected a few frames, we were quickly seated and the process was easy; from explaining our insurance benefits to explaining and selecting options for each pair we chose. And the BOGO they had going on saved us a lot of money. Cynthia was more than helpful. My existing frames were damaged so I thought I'd use the existing lenses in a new pair of the same frames - which would be 100% covered by my insurance. Cynthia searched for the existing frames - but they're no longer made and no other Visionworks branch had a pair. Soooo, to get new frames (which, again, would have been free) I had to also get new lenses - $360 under my insurance. Then Cynthia pointed out that I had previously purchased replacement insurance for damaged lenses - so for a $30 co-pay she ordered new lenses for the existing frames. Which we re-shaped to be as useful as if they were new. Very happy with this outcome!! read more

Tried shopping at this location. Big mistake! The young female employee with long black hair (name?) was definitely not as clever or experienced as she would give herself credit for. Looked up my insurance card and said it was for "dental" No, its a United Health card, and the only one they issue. After pricing my glasses she claimed my ins would only cover 200.00 toward frames. I have a 0% co pay on lenses. She quoted me, out of my pocket, a 180.00 plus cost for the lenses. I repeatedly asked her if that was right. Oh yes she was sure. Then after my relating to her I bought 2 pair last year somewhere else for 180.00 plus, she scoffed, poopooed it whatever, indicating she did not believe me. I said I do not have to prove it. She then held up her arms and said "don't shoot". She is just too precious for words. Needless to say I will never be back. I visited this store on today to take my hubby script in. As I walk in I was never a knowledge, so I proceed on to look at they frames. Maybe at 10 mins later another customer & her child walked in both associates said hello welcome to Visionworks. I turned around & said they can talk . Later I walked up to the counter still waiting for someone to say may I help you. After being there for about 15-20 mins Hannah says O I'm Sorry I didn't say Hello. I go I've been kicked out of better places by better people . She couldn't say nothing...... My attention was to walk out & say forget it. Cause I feel my money spends anywhere. So when she did finely came to help me. I had to stand up at the counter while she looked up my hubby insurance information. Her co worker came up & said hello . I get way better treatment at Walmart vision center, if we both had the same insurance I would have taken my husbands there too. And to think I was gonna field my script with them. Came in Friday in desperate need of glasses, because mine had broke. Not only was the selection large, but they had very good specials ( buy one get one free) and the customer service was some of the best I experienced. I was sat down with Alexis after I had chosen a few frames I liked. Initially she told me it would take about two weeks for my glasses to come in, I stressed and told her I needed them as soon as possible because I'm in the Military and I'll be going out of town. Do y'all know this woman called every vision works in Houston until she found one with the lens for the frames I picked. Went to WM Vision last time wife needed glasses a couple years ago. Decided to try Visionworks out this time, so glad we did! We got 3 pairs of glasses for her, all with Transitions progressives, with A/R coating, for less than 2 pairs at WM, Transistions and single vision on the second pair! We came in to just look, and get prices, but my wife quickly selected two pairs of frames she really liked, then we were greeted by Hannah, who sat down, went over our benefits, and then went to the frame racks and plucked a perfect third frame out for her. After going through measurements very quickly, she gave us a total, and it was actually lower than the last time we went to WM Vision! Could not believe it. Hannah is very professional, friendly, and knows her craft when it comes to fitting frames. While they no longer offer 1-hour service, they do have relatively quick service (a week to two weeks, depending on prescription). We were in and out in just about an hour. Fantastic service, highly recommend. Hannah is awesome! read more
