I recently got some new glasses at this location. The associates that helped me out were Emma and Pearla I believe- they were super nice and helped me chose the perfect glasses for me. I especially appreciated that I was able to take my time looking and trying on glasses before making a decision. I hate feeling pressured or rushed when choosing glasses and usually resort to online shopping for this reason, but I really wanted to try some on in person. I was glad I stopped in here :) There's a decent selection of women's frames to choose from, but I'd say they're more everyday styles and less fashion/statement frames. Definitely worth a trip inside to browse if you're in the market for glasses. They seem to have promos often and I believe some insurance companies have additional coupons that might work at visionworks as well. read more

They don't let you pick your glasses but they want you to tell them what you may seem to like and they get it for you...There is nothing like being able to see your glasses up and close among the rest which helps you make up your mind. I visited this Visionworks to find a new pair of glasses. Yesenia was very patient while I tried on probably 25 different frames. She even picked out several selections for me to try. Yesenia really studies your face and how each frame looks on you and gives an honest opinion based on your age and complexion. Once we got thru the hour long process of picking out a frame, she assisted with helping me find the lenses that fit within my budget. She explained everything very thoroughly. I had to replace a lens on my glasses. As I had been wearing them for the 2 months prior, I knew that no adjustments would be needed. Run in, grab them, and run back out. When I went to pick them up, admittedly, it was right at closing time. I pulled into the parking lot and parked in the space closest to the door. I saw the person working there leaning on a desk near the door. She watched me get out of the car, and then she stepped up to the door, and locked it right in front of me. I tried to explain to her that I was merely picking up and that it would only be a minute. She just kept repeating "sorry, we close at 8:00." After I pick my glasses up tomorrow, I will not be returning to this or any Visionworks. read more

The overall unprofessionalism is beyond me not the store but optometry office itself. Yes you can walk in but my doctor no longer works at that location. I was never told until it came time for me to actually try and fix my prescription which the other optometrist messed up. She fixed the prescription but I can't get my contacts due to insurance reasons. I politely asked if I could receive a new trial pair to be able to make it to when I could order them which is two weeks from now. I was informed that the doctor would only give them to me if I had a receipt proving that I had already ordered the contacts which are $200 once again because of insurance reasons. If I had known it was gonna be this much of a hassle I would've went to my old doctor instead of this place. They don't care about their patients at all and it's very apparent. I wouldn't be so upset if they had told me months ago my doctor would be leaving , so I could've tried and made it back to get it fixed since my work schedule is inconsistent. read more

I bought a pair of glasses. I was told I needed to get used to them. I tried. The reading part of the glasses distorted everything when I moved my head slightly. There is something wrong with the glasses. It is impossible to use while using my computer. I took the glasses back and was given a lesson on how to look through glasses. Never once was the discussion on the lenses themselves. My wife tried them and had the same problem. Any slight movement of the line of sight distorted the image. I was told to go back to my eye doctor to verify the prescription. I am going to do that but I doubt seriously it is my prescription. The lenses are just not made right. I will be returning tomorrow. I got so frustrated I asked for a refund but.....if I got a refund my insurance would NOT pay for another pair at a different store. This is frustrating. read more

I desperately needed new glasses, and I am very glad to have stopped by Visionworks (located across from Baybrook Mall near Denny's Restaurant). Due to the current COVID-19 situation, I did not realize at the time that I needed to call ahead to set up an appointment to browse for new frames. But, I just happened to stop by at a convenient time when they were available to help me because another client didn't show up for their scheduled appointment time. Visionworks has a broad selection of trending frames to choose from, and I was able to find a pair to use as my everyday glasses, and I am very pleased with them! I also chose a "Free" pair of new prescription sunglasses as a part of a promotional that they are offering (buy one pair & get one free). I was Very Impressed, and felt safe, with how they follow strict sanitization and protection protocols during this pandemic. Most of all, I thought the personnel at this location were Both Exceptionally Professional, Conscientious, Very Helpful, and Friendly!! They took the time to assist me in selecting just the right frames, so that I would be completely satisfied. I had a great experience, and it was a smooth process overall. The doctor's office it was a great professional very nice timing might have been 10 minutes off but nothing to be upset about got through the task quickly when out of their happily and on to the next side of the room where you get your glasses. Coming to the side unfortunately old was like a whole other world nobody was professional and nobody greeted us I don't think you got anybody the name and then that when we asked for help they were very actually extremely rude and then asked us to wait for them to do absolutely nothing. We go ahead and call our insurance after the total state on except our insurance which also makes no sense I don't know if these people all drunk or work going on in this building on the other side Bowie how to walk out it was not God please come to the doctor side and don't talk to the other side. I went to this store because my wife has used them to buy her glasses. She broke her glasses when she was hospitalized and needed a replacement ASAP. I provided her prescription as an emergency from her doctor. A new pair was selected and I thought ordered. The clerk called for payment and I gave her my credit card info over the phone. Was told it would take a couple of weeks. After the third week no glasses have arrived. Went back to check why, Was told they were pending due the fact my payment was never placed. Was also told the original clerk was the only one that could correct this matter. Then was told she was on vacation and it would be another week to correct this issue. My wife now is in Hospice care and still needs her glasses. Very frustrated because time is running out and I can't wait another month. Then was told that Vision works does not expedite their orders. Sloppy care and fails customer needs based on lack of customer needs Would recommend them . read more

I went to this Vision works for years with Dr. Chin. However, a few years ago Dr. Chin's assistant was very rude to me for no apparent reason because she was having a bad day. The young girls that work in his office lack customer service. I strongly believe the young lady should have been fired by the way she treated me.
