Upon arrival, I was promptly and warmly greeted and checked in. Dr. Greg Artin saw me almost immediately and began my exam. He was extremely thorough, patient, and informative. He made sure that my prescription was spot-on for both my contacts and glasses. He also gave me extensive education on the health of my eyes (which unfortunately was not good) and setup a plan for me to improve my eye health and vision. Before concluding our visit, he gave me a prescription for my eyes, a set of contact lenses in my new prescription, recommendations for products, and suggestions for future follow-up appointments to assess my progress. After my exam, I was helped by a lovely employee by the name of Kristina. I had met her during my check-in process and told her I was looking for glasses. She already had some glasses picked out for me that she thought I might like. She was very attentive, personable, and patient. She gave me her honest opinion on glasses and did not stop giving me options until I was completely in LOVE with my frames. She then sat down with me to complete my purchase and educated me on how to properly care for my glasses. I was beyond pleased with my experience and will definitely continue to come here in the future and recommend For Eyes to all my friends and family. Thank you Kristina and Dr. Greg! They have no…read moreproblem quoting you a quick turn around on a pair of glasses, taking your money and then not following through. It has now been exactly a month since I placed an order through a warranty claim which I was quoted a 1 to 2 week turn around. After multiple conversations with numerous employees no one has the slightest of ideas what the order entailed or where it may be. I have now made a dozen attempts to get in contact with the manager Daniela Garcia with no reply. Seriously save yourself the headache and spend your money elsewhere.

She had an exam, was promised glasses would be ready in 2 weeks, but they were not. She called, and called and was blocked by the receptionist. She went in and was told that her glasses had to be sent back for correction. So in July the glasses that she never saw were supposedly returned and she awaited a new pair. After many calls using someone else's phone number, she got a call that her glasses were ready in January 2023. I took her to pick up her glasses and they were a completely different color and she could not see, they made her dizzy. We waited to talk to the optometrist who made it seem as though we were complaining about nothing. He said the prescription he wrote was the same as the last time she got glasses from him years ago. He insisted that she just needed to get used to the glasses. But, she said she could not see! This optometrist has been in business there for many years and maybe it's time for him to retire. Getting no satisfaction, we went to Walmart less than a mile away and were served immediately in their Vision department. Upon getting a new prescription we found that the prescription she had from Crystal Vision was not hers. Her eyes were completely different. At Walmart she had an exam and picked out new glasses. They will be ready in less than a week. She was also given contact lenses so that she could "see" while waiting for the new glasses. The receptionist and optometrists at Crystal vision made many mistakes with this customer; mistakes they did not own up to. There was not a financial issue here. They told her that she was being difficult by not being able to "see" with the glasses they issued; which were not the glasses she ordered. I would advise everyone to steer clear of Crystal Vision. They need to close their doors. Also, Crystal Vision is unclean, furniture is very old, sample frames are laid out on a countertop and not displayed on a wall. The exam room is so small and so crowded with junk that you can barely step inside of it. There are many many vision stores around that are clean and well organized. They also accept every kind of insurance. There is no need to accept such poor and miserable service as Crystal Vision provides.

    I had a chilling experience with Dr. Mohammad Al-Khudari and strongly urge others to reconsider…read moreyour option to receive surgery here. Do not take your safety for granted. The short version: I was refused service here because Dr. Al-Khudari was intimidated by my pre-op questions. Because I asked about the percentage rate of clients who ended up with side-effects, he informed me that I would regret receiving the operation, even though I had been approved as an excellent candidate (ostensibly because he is not confidant enough in his ability or success rate to discuss those numbers honestly or to perform surgery on someone who cares to ask). The long version: I was approved as an excellent candidate by my optometrist. Then, I was approved as an excellent candidate by Dr. Pappas at Oakbrook LASIK who did my intake testing. I was approved by the clinic for surgery and scheduled my operation date. The Surgical Manager, Chelsea, told me during my consultation to email her with any questions, so a few days later I did that. She responded only to say she would have someone else answer my questions. That's the last I heard from their office. I emailed twice more and called twice over the following 3 weeks, trying to get a response to my questions; no one responded. On the day of my appointment, Dr. Pappas checked my prescription and again said I was all good to go ahead with surgery as planned. Finally, I met my surgeon, Dr. Al-Khudari. He arrived and began rapid-firing questions at me, barely allowing me time to respond before interrupting with his next question (anachronistically, he asked my name about half-way through the interview). When his questions were done, I mentioned I had some questions of my own. It seems he was already aware of my questions because before I could ask them, he began to steer the conversation down a strange course. He told me he did not recommend this operation for me and repeated several times the phrase, "you'll regret it". He concocted a flimsy, non-sequitur excuse about my eyesight naturally improving on its own as I age enough that I will be able to read without glasses in four years (something I've never heard from an optometrist in my life) and that receiving this operation would stop the chances of that natural improvement and that I would regret it. --If this part of the story seems confusing or unlikely to you, it's because it was both confusing and unlikely, though true.-- He mumbled something in passing about my concern about side-effects, tipping me off that he had been aware of my questions. He stone-walled further conversation, clearly unwilling to face an honest discussion with me. I left. Honestly, I was in minor shock afterwards, realizing that even in context of modern medicine, where patients should be fully empowered to collect all pertinent information regarding their care, there are doctors who still believe themselves to be so far above reproach that they can not deign to field any sort of questioning of their complete infallibility. That type of arrogance in a surgeon is dangerous. I feel I dodged a bullet and I encourage everyone considering entrusting the fate of your precious eyesight to any surgeon (and especially this one) to ASK QUESTIONS and take nothing for granted. You are responsible for your own best care. If you're wondering what these offending questions are that I asked, here they are, exactly from my email to Chelsea: 1. Would you please provide the success rate for this specific Oakbrook location and my doctor, Dr. Mohammad Al-Khudari? What percentage of his patients achieve 20/20 vision or better? 2. Would you please provide the rate of complications and side effects for this specific location and doctor? What percentage of your/his patients have had serious long-term complications? (I consider serious complications to be; loss of vision, loss of best corrected vision, infection, or malfunctioning of the machine during the procedure.) What percentage of your/his patients have temporary side-effects? (Including ulcers, ptosis, swelling, retinal detachment, and all of the conditions listed in the "Visual Side Effects" paragraph in your pamphlet? What percentage of your/his patients have less-serious, but long-term or permanent side effects, including dry eye, blurry vision, starbursts at night, etc. for longer than a year? 3. How do your/his complication rates compare to the national average? 4. Are there any patient stories or reviews specifically regarding side-effects or complications and how you addressed the issue with the patient and the final result, that you would be willing to share?

The day of my surgery I was very nervous. But doctor Mohammad Al-Khudari was amazing ! I had no pain at all, no burning, tearing or any discomfort after surgery as well.
