We had special vision needs and Cali was a tremendous help. She treated my dad with respect and kindness and even if she didn't have an answer she explained why. Give this woman a raise, we need more people like her in the world!!! read more

if I could leave a minus I would after waiting a month for my appointment and confirming it several times I went to my location and was told I never confirmed so they gave my appointment to someone else. while waiting to see what they were going to do a woman sitting down said that also happened to her so she had to reschedule . they offered to me I could wait to see if someone else didn't show up for their appointment I declined said they could reschedule but the wait would be a month.declined their offer, I won't be going back there ever. was also told this has been happening often. also I did receive 2 other emails reminding me of said appointment. very disappointed read more

I had an appointment at 4pm, wasn't seen til 4:30. I get it, places get backed up, it happens. I will say the girl who took me in to do the first part (NOT the doc) was very kind and present with me. Then I saw the doctor who rushed me through the entire exam, not giving me time to answer and talking a mile a minute. At no point did the images get clear and when I expressed that and that I couldnt read the line the doc kept asking me to read, she said "just try," so I stumbled through guessing at letters bc I had no idea what they said. She seemed totally unconcerned that I could not see what was in front of me and suddenly without warning, my exam was over. When I got out to my car, I looked at my prescription, and it reflected that my vision IMPROVED. Obviously I will not be able to use that prescription and I won't be returning to Vision Works. What an absolute waste of my time. Now I will have to wait another year to have my eyes actually checked since my insurance only covers once per year. I get that it was a holiday weekend and she just wanted to go party, but I need my glasses to drive and navigate life. It's pretty important that I receive an accurate prescription. read more

giving this 2 stars because I can't even make an appointment because they don't value customers enough to talk with them. It's an AI assistant and she just can't understand that I need a later hour, not a different day. Forget about it. I will go to another eyeglass place. if this is how it is before I even get in there, forget it they won't value me read more

Absolutely the Worst Experience I've Had at Any Optical Provider I'm not typically one to leave reviews--let alone complaints--but this experience with Visionworks was so outrageous, frustrating, and disappointing that I feel compelled to speak up. I've been wearing glasses for nearly 20 years and have never encountered such poor service. To start, I drove an hour to this location for an eye exam, only to wait 1.5 hours to even be seen. The exam itself took less than 7 minutes, and I then waited another 25 minutes just to check out. No explanation. No apologies. Just waiting. But it gets worse. I never received any notification that my glasses were ready for pickup. I had to call and navigate a painfully unhelpful automated phone system just to find out on my own. When I finally went in to pick them up, I discovered the prescription was completely wrong. I tried wearing the glasses for a few days, thinking I just needed to adjust--but I couldn't see clearly, read road signs, or even tell what was on caution signs. It was dangerous and unacceptable. When I called to request a recheck, I was met with rude, dismissive, and combative customer service. After waiting 22 minutes and 41 seconds, I was scheduled for a recheck the following Wednesday, only to later be told that the appointment would be completed in 30 minutes. Why couldn't I be seen during the time I was standing there, yet again waiting? Why wasn't that offered up front? Why was my original exam rushed, and why was there no urgency to fix their error? Today, I arrived for the recheck I was told was scheduled for "next Wednesday"--only to be told the appointment is actually NEXT Wednesday. Another hour's drive, wasted. The level of incompetence and unprofessionalism is truly astounding. To make matters worse, the new doctor was curt, unapproachable, and completely unwilling to communicate with patients or ensure proper care. This entire experience--from the exam, to the glasses, to the customer service--has been appalling. I've since refunded my glasses and now have to work with my insurance to cancel the claim, which I expect will be yet another drawn-out hassle due to this team's lack of urgency and accountability. I am giving this 1 star only because 0 is not an option. If you value your time, vision, or being treated with basic respect--go elsewhere. read more

Your service is horrible, why make appointment if we have to watch multiple people go in and out in between our family services. Employees were rude!!! I would go anywhere else if my insurance was accepted read more

The receptionist was very rude and basically refused to help me because I didn't want to pay the 60 copay for a trial pair of contacts that the didn't keep in stock. Tried to make me pay for a a test I didn't consent too. Horrible woman DONT GO THERE!!! read more

Went for appointment took along time they got my safety glasses wrong and had to redo them then my regular glasses said were shipped and were not then 6 weeks after my first initial appointment they came and I was to be notified when they finally came and iPad to find out myself by calling them. I don't normally leave reviews, but I felt like I had to after the experience I just had at the Visionworks in the Millcreek Mall. Myself and my youngest son were both getting new glasses after seeing the doc for an exam, and the optician that helped us through the sizing/ picking out glasses part (which is normally my least favorite) was beyond exceptional. Linda was her name I believe and she went above and beyond to help us find the perfect pair. She was patient, kind and understanding as she helped us through the process and ultimately made it such a smooth, easy transaction. I will be strongly recommending Visionworks, and specifically Linda, to my entire extended family, who are all in glasses, going forward. 10/10. read more

Very disappointing experience with Visionworks. My glasses order has been pending for 2 weeks now, even though they were supposed to be delivered by August 26th. Every time I call or use the online chat, I receive the same automated response that the glasses have been shipped and will arrive in 3-5 days--yet nothing has been delivered. I'm still waiting on the glasses, and they promised to call back within 48 hours but never did. I haven't had the opportunity to speak with a real person even once. This has been an extremely frustrating experience, and I will not be returning. read more

I wanted to acknowledge the great customer service that I received from associate Malik N. yesterday. I always write about bad service, so I want to comment on some GREAT service for a change. I had an issue with my glasses he went over and above to explain my benefits and get my replacement frames. He was patient, knowledgeable and detailed with his service. Thanks Malik!! read more

After my eye exam, I worked with Amy picking out the best pair of glasses for me. Amy was amazing and very pleasant to work with. She then breezed through my insurance and ordered my glasses. Visonworks of Erie is a wonderful team. read more

VERY WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE "Visionworks of America has built a solid reputation that our Customers can depend upon. In preserving this long-standing tradition, integrity stands as the foundation for all our business endeavors. NOT TRUE STATEMENT! For the SECOND TIME my appointment was cancelled after it was scheduled and CONFIRMED. The excuse is sorry we overbooked. The first time when I arrived at the office the receptionist said "Oh sorry we overbooked and your appointment was cancelled" ( I received no email or text telling me not to come. So I in person rescheduled the appointment and ask three times if I would for sure be seen at the appointment time. I confirmed the appointment a made sure to rearrange my schedule. Then today I get and email that my appointment was cancelled. After spending 30 minutes getting the same run around I'm told to come in but we are busy and your appointment will be rushed. Just something you want to hear when you having problems with your eyes. I think I would have more luck at Walmart than the incompetence of Visionworks read more

5/27 I had an appointment at 11:15am, they called at 10:45am, when I was on my way, to tell me an exam machine was down. They had me rescheduled for 5/28 at 3:15pm. I got a text at 2:48 saying my appointment was rescheduled to 3pm on 5/28 which I did not do and was not on my way to my appointment because I live 20 minutes away. I arrived at 3:18pm because traffic and waited in line until 3:25pm until someone helped me. I did my check in and then 5 minutes later I was told my appointment was at 3pm and I had to come back at 5pm. I told them the situation and then how I did not reschedule my appointment that day to 3pm because I would not have made it on time and that they did it with my consent. They then asked me if I wanted to talk to a manager, I said yes and I never got to speak to a manager. They said they were going to try to fit me in. 40 minutes after I had already been there, I still didn't see anyone, talk to a manager or get this sorted out so I scheduled an appointment elsewhere. When I tried to tell them I was leaving, I stood at the front desk for 5 minutes, no one came up until another lady walked into the store. I was ignored and they tended to the other lady first and the other lady said I was there first and the worker goes "oh yeah".Then after I stopped at a store and was leaving the mall, the employees were outside having a smoke break. Only sharing because it was inconvenient and I wasted my time, twice, on going to this location to only be rescheduled and not by me. I don't recommend! read more

I waited 40 minutes past my scheduled time to see Dr. Auman. She didn't even apologize for the wait. Then she wouldn't wait five extra minutes for my husband who was running a few minutes late bc he was waiting for me to be done. My daughter, who was waiting for her glasses, overheard her day she has things to do. She left and wouldn't consider it. I had to speak to the store manager who was extremely helpful and said she'd speak with the other doctor. The other doctor was willing to do the appointment which was a relief. If you go there request another doctor. She was inconsiderate and rude. read more

I ordered my daughter's glasses in August. They were supposed to be ready in 2 weeks. It's the middle of October and all I get is the run around. I have been promised a call back 3 different times and didn't receive one. I was told they can't see my order because they have new tablets and then she found it and promised to call us back. The QR code told us they would be ready by 09/14/22. Now the QR code just says status pending. This is my first time ordering glasses from Visionworks. I am not impressed. My daughter is getting migraines because she needs these glasses. It's very upsetting. read more

Went here for my eye exam. The pre-exam of checking eye pressure was quick. Dr Auman was wonderful. She took me through each step of the exam and explained everything. I came in two weeks later to get my sunglasses. Hayley was helpful. She allowed me all the time to look around for a frame that I liked. She processed my insurance quickly and completed the entire process within 30 min. However, Visionworks' bills are a bit confusing to read. Not the staff's fault though. Hayley was quick to explain the bill to me. I would highly recommend this branch of Visionworks for eye exams and glasses! read more

I took my elderly mother to the Visionworks at the Erie Millcreek Mall and could not have been more pleased. Haley was so kind and very patient with my mother. She went out of her way to make her feel like a special customer. My mother was still talking about how much she liked Haley the next day! This location had a very nice selection of glasses in all price ranges as well. I give this place a big thumbs up! :) read more

I highly recommend Vision Works. I had outstanding customer service from Amy. She went above and beyond. Made me a loyal customer for sure!
