I am a retired V.A. Nurse and OTR, over the road Truck Driver & Owner/ Operator…read more My appt. was at 2pm, after the check in I was taken to a room to start the exam by a Tech. She was professional and curious. At about 3:30pm they dilated my eyes, it took about 20 minutes for the drops to take effect. Then Dr. Moffett came in telling me that the tests that were done showed I was 2100 in one eye & 2700 in the other. He said if the DMV were to test my eyes I'd be given a restrictive license. I came here for Cataract testing because driving at night was impossible anymore. He kept saying the Cataracts didn't look that bad, but did say he has done thousands of Cataract surgeries, some developing eye infections. If these surgeries are done with sterilized equipment using a sterile field and him wearing Sterile gloves the chances of an Infection are greatly reduced. I became suspicious of his ability to take care of me properly. At 4:20pm I was given a flimsy piece of black plastic to put between my glasses and face to cut down the glare, it did not fit well as it had "rounded" edges and my glasses are rectangular shaped, I asked for something better. Techs saying you can drive home using these. I went to the restroom to check my pupils they were completely dilated making my vision blurry! I stated I have over 30 miles to drive home! They did not care, just kept saying you'll be fine to drive home. I refused to leave without getting a better fitting Glare Blocker. So, finally another woman found a pair that would sit on my ears. I left to sit in my car so my vision could adjust to the outside brightness. Thinking maybe I should call the Police, because this is a crime in the making as no where in the paperwork that they sent me prior to the appointment did it say I should have someone drive me there. I said a prayer asking GOD to get me home safely and started my car. My car is new to me only having it a week, I knew and could see the whole numbers were about 1/2 inch high like 50, 60 mph but the 55 or 65 mph were only a short slanted line which I could not see at all. So, with GOD as my copilot I backed up my car and as I turned right out of their driveway I drew on the 15 yrs. of experience driving semi and followed the White line on the Right side of the road. I also choose to take Hwy. 29 home as it is a 4 lane road, I could legally do 45mph in the right lane. As soon as I was on Hwy. 29 I was able to do 50mph but I also knew that someone else might call in a 911 call on me because from Chippewa Falls to Cadot the speed limit is 70mph and I was only doing 50mph in the Right lane. I did get home safely! My vision returned to Normal at 10:30PM, 7 Hours after having those drops! If you are considering to see this clinic in the future ask them when YOU make the appointment if they are going to dilated your eyes, if so bring someone with you so they can drive you home!

I used to have great service here but stopped going because they're so unorganized. The front desk…read morepeople are unhelpful and the technicians just don't seem to care. The doctor I was seeing was fairly new and we spent 3 weeks (experimenting) with different contact combinations until they got it right. I've never experienced that anywhere else and had never experienced here prior to that. They also used to send out reminders for appointments but don't do that anymore. Now they seem to not care so I'm not going to give them my business.
