This store has gone totally downhill. There is no way to get anyone on the phone. I tried for two weeks. The calls went to corporate twice. They promised me that they would contact the Eau Claire store for me and have someone call me. Twice it never happened. I have a pair of frames that are cracking - from their store. I scheduled an eye exam only to have it cancelled one hour prior to the appt. Apparently, staffing issues. I am soon going to be without glasses due to the pair mentioned about to break. I went elsewhere this week for an exam and glasses. I have never seen an optical business run like this. I almost never leave a review, or complain, but this is awful! read more

Went there like other people, because of my insurance. It was immediately clear that there was a lot of expensive machinery and no one really knowing how to operate it. I had no faith in the prescription they provided via telehealth technician. When I compared it to my old prescription (from a year and a half ago) it was dramatically different, I doubt my eyes suddenly got better drastically better. It also didn't seem like the ladies in the front new how to operate the register, overcharging me and then giving me a discount because they could not figure out how to properly charge me for an eye exam. I won't be going back, I won't be using their prescription. Just go somewhere else, should have looked at yelp before I drove down there!! read more

Not only is you examine done by video chat and it is done quickly. You deal with a lady who doesn't listen. The dr suggested single lens for my computer work as I was having issues with bifocals. I told the lady that my insurance would not pay for new frames this year. Do I got my bifocals and single vision. I paid what she said my insurance didn't cover. Then a month later I get a bill for my frames because the dumb b charged it to my insurance. Lady I would have went without the single vision glasses. That b should have to pay it. I won't go back or recommend this place! read more

I've been waiting weeks for my glasses. nobody answers their phone. I went in the store a week ago to find out where they are and they claimed they'll "get back to me". I'm still waiting. at this point I just want my $400 back. I've put in a complaint with corporate and still no resolution. Horrible experience all around. There is no Ophthalmologist to be found, everything is done through video conferencing with people who you'll never meet in person and with "techs" who will run through the motions but aren't very good at what they do. My biggest complaint is that not only did I get glasses that aren't right for me but I paid extra for the best anti glair scratch resistant lenses but neither claim is true. I like my premium frames that I overpaid for but everything else sucks. Everyone was really nice and accommodating, the customer service was pretty good and I believe that the employees are doing their best with what they are given. Still, they process just reeks of mass produced, in and out low quality services from a company that just tries it's best to cut costs and offer crap. read more

I have been going here for a few years now and i dont buy the glasses and contacts there. When they give you your prescription. they dont give you all the details for ordering glasses elsewhere. When asked they tell you that they cant give you the last part that you need. I think very unprofessional. Not everyone can afford their prices especially when it is ALL paid out of pocket. read more

this was the worst eye exam experience of my life. First- there was someone getting on the job training while performing my exams. these had to be redone several times. partially due to the new employee understandably having to learn properly but also because the regular employee didn't ask if I had contacts in. second- they had nowhere to wash your hands to take your contacts out so I had to use hand sanitizer, ended up almost losing complete vision in one eye as it burned like hell Trying to take them out. third- the virtual eye exam is a joke. i was seeing double vision the whole time and was told my vision changed by -1.0. I have a hard time believing this when all of my tests were done by someone who seemed to just start that day and the doctor wasn't even in the room fourth- the ladies there were lovely and I don't have complaints. The young man there needs a lesson in professionalism. It was so bad, I would've left the appointment but my contacts were being held hostage and I'm basically blind without them. 0/0 stars, would NOT recommend unless you want to lose time, money and self respect. read more

I have went to vision work in MN. They were great. This one in Eau Clair Wi. Is a piece of shit. they do not know what they are doing. Wanted my glasses sent to me. i paid extra for this. Called 7 days ago. They said they were sent out. Called today They were still setting at the store. Bunch of lazy ass people. will never go to this place again. And as far as getting hold of customer service forget it. They don't answer. read more

I have been getting glasses at Vision Works for several years. I have always had #1 customer service. When my friends and family did not like my new frames, I returned them 3 days later and Vision Works exchanged them at no extra cost. When my optometrist at the clinic made a mistake in my prescription, Vision Works, replaced my corrected lenses at no extra cost. Without insurance to cover the cost, Vision Works has always given me their best price options. read more

The only reason I go here is it works well with my insurance. Other than that they are bad. I always wait at least 15 more minutes than promised. Just went in there today at 1130 because my glasses were ready but of course the store is closed without an email, post, or anything. What a waste of a drive for a wasted company. read more

If you are doing anything but getting simple glasses I would not recommend going here...you pay for what you get. My wife went here for an eye exam and needed glasses (bifocals). After about 3 weeks she was still not used to wearing the glasses and they were giving her a headache. She was not able to read books with the new glasses no matter how hard she tried, so she went back for an adjustment which they said they would do if she had any problems. The adjustment was moving the nose piece around. As far as reading, they said that she may have to give up reading (they really said that). After 4 more weeks of trying to get used to the glasses she went back to Visionworks and had another eye exam, and the prescription was wrong. The optometrist was apologetic, but the staff not so much. Two weeks later new glasses so all should be good...wrong. Four weeks later and still getting headaches and a "fishbowl" effect in larger areas. So we went back to our old optometrist out of town (was there visiting). Of course the prescription was still wrong for her and the lenses were not the best for her...so we had to buy another set of glasses for my wife (more $). So remember that you get what you pay for...we tried to save some money by going here and ended up spending more money and my wife about 4 months of headaches. read more

Had a good eye check up and got my first pair of glasses wish I could give more stars but my sunglasses were due by 5/16. Two weeks from when I originally ordered which I've had glasses my entire life that's normal and normally they come sooner it is now 5/23 and I am still waiting for my sunglasses every time I've called to check up on them I've gotten oh they are in the lab waiting to be picked up should be in tomorrow. I called yesterday and got oh the lab just finished your sunglasses they will go out tomorrow called today they shipped them out they should be in in a few days now it's up to usps..... I live in menomonie this is extremely aggravating as my last pair of glasses from Walmart were transitions because my eyes are light sensitive and I was hoping to have them by now as I have out door plans for this weekend but no plans to go to the mall to Eau Claire to pick up my glasses that should already have been in and got the run around when asked for updates... seriously thinking my glasses were never made until this week and I was lied to read more
