I keep calling but the billing lady is always out of office or the office is closed/on lunch? My appointment in itself was an absolute tragedy. I've been going to the eye doctor for over 15 years so I have a pretty good idea of how an appointment should run. I first go to do the basic eye testing (little house on prairie machine...pics of the eyes etc.) the doctors assistant running my tests had no idea what she was doing. She didn't tell me to take my contacts out and when I said something she just handed me a contact case and some empty contact solution bottle. No sink, no form of sanitation, no mirror, NOTHING. When I saw actual optometrist everything was fine...but the check out process was a NIGHTMARE. No one in the office knew how to run insurance, they forgot my credit card in the back room twice, they did t know how to give me a receipt, and this entire process took over an hour! I paid for my contacts but have yet to receive anything and it's been over a MONTH. The lady that does the billing is never in the office because everytime I've tried to call to check on the status of my contacts she's never there!! And she never calls me back! I just want my contacts. I hope they see this and finally get back to me. Last time I called was today at 1:30 and the voicemail box said they were "on lunch"??? Ridiculous.

Multiple members of our family and friends (including fellow doctors) have been patients with this…read morepractice for more than 20 years, seeing Dr. Black, Dr. Pugh, and Dr. Hall for annual exams, procedures, and emergency consults. Care has always been professional and comprehensive. Practice is located on the ground floor within the Medical Arts Building on State Street directly across from Baptist Hospital Floyd. There are a few free parking spots in front of the building on State Street; however, a large parking lot is located behind the building and also offers a drop off loop near the entrance. Eyeglass services (ordering and repairs) are also located within this location. Staff are very helpful and informed with accessing and advising clients regarding insurance plan parameters. Wait times can sometimes be a bit long when going through a series of seeing eye associates and screeners, visiting the waiting room, exam room, waiting room, exam room, etc. Most of my visits have been 90 to 120 minutes overall, and of course slightly longer if purchasing glasses. Due to the quality care and experienced providers in this practice, can recommend and are all highly appreciated.

I have been seen in the past 2 years for prescription glasses at 2 other practices and I was really dissatisfied because my eyesight was not where I thought it should be. I waited 6 months to see Dr Hall and find out my cataracts had progressed to the point that my vision was being significantly affected and they needed to be removed. Seriously, I was having significant difficulty seeing. Dr Hall is excellent and I trust her completely. She referred me to the eye Surgeon Dr. Pugh and who took his time examining my eyes and explaining everything to me. I had the cataracts removed from both eyes. I'm about 2 weeks past the surgeries and my vision is excellent. Pain control and sedation were excellent. I highly recommend this practice. There have been several complaints about how long the wait is when you are in the office. I really haven't experienced that. The main thing I wanted was my vision to be improved and it is. I highly recommend this practice.
