    Tiny crack inside of lens, gets bigger

    I've used Korrect Optical for several years without any trouble. I purchased my eyeglasses in March with their $99 glasses sale, which I have always done. The right lens developed a tiny crack INSIDE the actual lens where the lens is screwed into the frame. I called Korrect Optical about the crack, which is still under the 6 month manufacturer warranty. I was told they weren't going to replace the lens, and I would have to pay $400 to get a new lens. I've taken the glasses to THREE different opticians and they all say the exact same thins as soon as they see it, without even touching the glasses: the lens crack is due to screw being tightened too tight when Korrect Optical put the lens in the frame. I will NEVER use them again. It's most definitely BUYER BEWARE. It's a shame because the optometrist is excellent. He should move to a different glasses provider. It's the Korrect Optical on Dutchmans Lane in Louisville.

I keep calling but the billing lady is always out of office or the office is closed/on lunch? My appointment in itself was an absolute tragedy. I've been going to the eye doctor for over 15 years so I have a pretty good idea of how an appointment should run. I first go to do the basic eye testing (little house on prairie machine...pics of the eyes etc.) the doctors assistant running my tests had no idea what she was doing. She didn't tell me to take my contacts out and when I said something she just handed me a contact case and some empty contact solution bottle. No sink, no form of sanitation, no mirror, NOTHING. When I saw actual optometrist everything was fine...but the check out process was a NIGHTMARE. No one in the office knew how to run insurance, they forgot my credit card in the back room twice, they did t know how to give me a receipt, and this entire process took over an hour! I paid for my contacts but have yet to receive anything and it's been over a MONTH. The lady that does the billing is never in the office because everytime I've tried to call to check on the status of my contacts she's never there!! And she never calls me back! I just want my contacts. I hope they see this and finally get back to me. Last time I called was today at 1:30 and the voicemail box said they were "on lunch"??? Ridiculous.

I mis-scheduled an eye exam when I just need to get contacts with a simple check to make sure they were good. The two ladies at the front were very understanding and helpful. The optometrist who saw me to double check my prescription was still accurate and that my contacts were a good fit was very nice and patient. As I'm walked from one side of the building we're the eye appointment rooms are to the other side where the contact lenses area is employees that were not even assisting me with my appointment greeted me and asked how my day was going so far. I was a bit taken aback with the friendliness of the staff. This was my first time visiting this location. Finally I'm checking out with an employee at a desk location. She was very friendly, positive and professional. We was helpful in offering memberships deals that would save me money in the future with my eye glasses and contact lenses. She was asking about if I had weekend plans and was genuinely engaged in the conversation with responding all while checking me out efficiently and quickly. This was a really great experience and this staff works well together as a team and really puts the customer first. Go to this location is you want a great and professional experience.

For the first time I got "progressives" -- bifocals for millenials; I'm old! -- and the process was easy peasy. The clerk I worked with was great about suggesting other frames to try and talking me through the process. One thing he warned me about was that progressives take some time to get used to because you have to learn where to look through your glasses to make items far away and nearby easier to see -- and he wasn't wrong about that! I'm glad I've had this heads up. I found some frames I like, and my glasses came in 10 days later to the store. This was a little longer than it has taken in the past, but not outside what I was told. I will definitely come back to get new glasses in the future.

If I hadn't contacted customer service, these LOSERS in the Louisville office would have allowed my orders that they collected upon to NEVER fill or ship. The gal in Tennessee was quite AMAZING. My experience w her may have saved my relationship w this business but we'll see. I still don't have my glasses but she is the ONLY person who took responsibility for my situation. If you want to buy off the shelf sunglasses, I believe they can help you, but if you have a prescription or anything that requires additional effort this is most likely not the place for you.

I remember that prior appointment because my daughter paid herself for the upgrades she wanted, and it was over 200.00 and I did not think it was worth it. I remember my daughter pulling out her wallet and telling me that she wanted the built-in sunglass option and the upgrade frames and non-glare lenses and she would pay, and I was so proud of her. The owner stated that she would not allow me to have an appointment until it was paid, or we brought a receipt from a year ago. I said your system is faulty your people would not have released our glasses to us if there was an outstanding balance. She said you can leave now my employees are trustworthy. I said I am absolutely going to leave but before I go you should know that I think it is mean spirited and deceitful to wait until we came in for an appt to tell us you are double dipping and want payment twice for the same service and glasses from over a year ago. I said while I am here you might as well cancel the other 5 appointments, maybe 6 including mine in the next few weeks because no one in my family will ever come here again. Beware of Gaddie's they have poor accounting systems and cannot keep track of payments made by multiple sources on one account and the owner is myopic and does not wish to fix her processes or be honest with her clients and call them if there is a problem, she prefers public confrontations in her store as it is easier to get people to capitulate and pay her again, than argue the matter, for most people. My daughter called her bank on the way home and for .75 they produced a copy of her July payment to Gaddie's over a year ago. I will hang on to it if Gaddie's decides they want to pursue it, but I will never go back. A simple phone call a few days prior to the appt or recognizing that your system is broken and calling it good if you are not going to delve into your broken processes would have both been better than simply waiting until we came in and then announcing that you would not honor our appt until we paid a past due balance which did not exist, would have been better business practices. Just now this poor woman called me to reschedule my 2 Monday cancelled appointments. Incredible. I told her that I just left there and that I cancelled all of my kids and my own appointments and not to call me again I would not be rescheduling.

I ALWAYS PAY ALL MY BILLS WEEKS BEFORE THEY ARE DUE! I called the Oxmoor location and found out that their billing was mailed out by a third party. The billing rep from Gaddie's told me that I was mailed 24 statements since 09/30/2015. I verified my address with her and it was correct. I let her know that I did NOT receive any of these statements. I asked to speak with the third party company and she could not give me that information. I let them know that I was a former employee of Gaddie Eye Center and this use to happen all the time...a customer would call and be upset that they received a bill from a collection agency after a long period of time. I let the rep know that they really need to get it together because they are the common denominator involved in this on going issue and need to look into why this keeps happening. I will never take my children or myself to Gaddie again. I am really glad that I don't work for a company that does not try to solve on going issues. Also I was offered to pay my bill...and I will pay it, obviously because I don't want it against credit history. I really demand some answers for this...no one can miss 24 statements in the mail this just doesn't make sense. I don't not believe these were ever mailed to me.     Today, my son and I picked our glasses up from Expert Optical. It was the first time we'd ever been…read morehere, but am certain it will not be our last! We actually wound up paying less for BOTH pairs of glasses than I would have paid for mine alone at any other establishment in town. I got trifocals (my first year with them) and chose no-line, laser cut lenses in feather-light frames and I couldn't be happier. My son, who has always had to have very thick lenses, got to choose thinner lenses (thanks to Mr. Beeler letting us know they were, in fact, an option), as well as titanium frames and transition lenses. All together, even with all the extras, we paid far less than we would have paid anywhere else! In addition to the excellent products, the service was above and beyond what we expected as well. We had everything thoroughly explained to us and there was absolutely no pressure to upgrade at all. The wait time was much less than what we've spent in the past at other places, waiting to be served. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. Reading the reviews is one thing, but as I sat in the waiting area (being inquisitive like I am) I spoke with many who were also waiting for their glasses. The conversations were all the same - each of these customers had been told about Expert Optical by a friend and had found their way to see Mr. Beeler and his wife personally. And the rest, as they say, is history! They became tried and true customers of an establishment that truly cares about their customers! If you need glasses or have glasses that need repairs or adjustments, you should definitely take the time to visit Expert Optical! You won't regret it. I didn't and neither did any of those I spoke with on two different occasions. Besides, in this economy, you owe it to yourself to save every penny you can, and this is a good way to do it!
