I've used Korrect Optical for several years without any trouble. I purchased my eyeglasses in March with their $99 glasses sale, which I have always done. The right lens developed a tiny crack INSIDE the actual lens where the lens is screwed into the frame. I called Korrect Optical about the crack, which is still under the 6 month manufacturer warranty. I was told they weren't going to replace the lens, and I would have to pay $400 to get a new lens. I've taken the glasses to THREE different opticians and they all say the exact same thins as soon as they see it, without even touching the glasses: the lens crack is due to screw being tightened too tight when Korrect Optical put the lens in the frame. I will NEVER use them again. It's most definitely BUYER BEWARE. It's a shame because the optometrist is excellent. He should move to a different glasses provider. I went into Korrect Optical to order my safety glass for work on Dixie Hwy. I also bought 2 more pair for my personal use. Spent over 300.00 plus dollars and this is what I get. REALLY? Looks like an amateur made them . I was very disappointed. Look at the arm piece on both pair . I asked the sales lady why are they so long? Her reapply was 'that's how they are made' They would not when fit in an eye glass case. And on top of that there is a difference in the lens between both pair. They are not the same. Veterans Administration The salesman had no problem taking double the money for my glasses and then saying "printer down", no receipt available, I knew that trick and his workmate printed my receipt. I tracked the package and gave the Va mail clerk a couple of days to get my glasses up to the optical shop. I knew they were there , because they, signed for them the previous day, 2 trips later to pick them up " No We don't have them, so I took them myself by force of intimidation. I'm torn on how to go with this one. Let's break it down. Pros: * I was running late for my eye appointment because of the snow/ice, and this office was very accommodating. Everyone was friendly and eager to help. * I was able to get a weekend appointment within the month. * Dr. Seth J. Summers was affable, very open to answering questions. He was speedy, though not rushed. * Korrect has a great collection of frames. Hoping to go back and pick some out soon. And if their glasses are out of network for your vision insurance, they'll work with you on the price. So the cons. It really just comes down to one, though it keeps nagging at me. There are special photos of the back of the eyes, believe it or not, that are taken during the exam. I wasn't told until I was checking out that these photos were an extra $30. I'm not a fan of extra costs being snuck in without first asking if I want the service. I ended up paying it when I checked out, but I've been thinking about it more since I left. I remember Dr. Summers going into detail about the benefits of these photos, such as the fact that they do away with the need to dilate eyes and you can better track changes in the eyes over time. And I may have opted in to have these taken -- if I had been given a choice. I thought these were a part of the regular exam, though. It also makes me concerned that other costs are going to be added without my consent if I buy glasses there. So, this is the debate I have at the moment -- several positives that are partly being outweighed by a large negative. I think this equals out to three stars. You can judge this for yourself, though. If you go in knowing to be on the lookout for extra costs, you can likely avoid them and have a great experience. read more

She listened to my style request while making sure that I picked the best pair for my face shape and vision needs. I highly recommend Korrect Optical to anyone needing an eye exam or new glasses. Korrect Optical provides glasses for VA members. Unfortunately, Korrect Optical does not seemed very concerned with making glasses correctly, and their quality control methods are laughable. I bought and paid for two pair from K.O. and somehow, they managed to get it completely wrong. I had to mail my glasses back to them and then call them repeatedly to ask that they make them correctly. I am still waiting for them to get it right and I will be taking the glasses they make to an independent optician to verify that I got what I paid for as K.O. seems to have absolutely no effective quality control policies. Update 4/5/2019 I STILL have no received the glasses I ordered despite being told weeks ago that "they will be done in a few days". It's obvious that this company is complacent in fulfilling orders correctly and has absolutely no regard for its VA customers. I have canceled my orders with them as I can not trust the accuracy or quality of their product and will be filing a complaint with the VA regarding Korrect Optical's laissez faire attitude. 1 star is way to nice for this business!! I'm a disabled vet and I ordered 2 sets from the VA in Hawaii VA. After a month plus and after numerous calls to Kentucky main office and to their office here. All I received was a goat rope they screwed up my order and didn't tint my glasses. They kept telling me they are being shipped but nothing was done for several weeks. I never receive a call back from the Hawaii office at all. Just like their customer service Amy Cordero told me if you have a problem call me. Ya right what for more lip service, no help. The government needs to NOT renew their contract period!!! I have left a comment on the VA optical side and now here. I'm going to send several Congressmen a letter on this business that is a rip-off!!! The Korrect Optical employee at the Fresno VA needs to take come people skills training. She is rude, disrespectful and demanding. The employee, an older, short women with short reddish hair apparently unhappy about having to work that day or work at the VA Hospital. I arrived after leaving the Optics Dept. to get new glasses. I was standing across the hall on a separate wall from the office. She indicated to sign-in, which I had already done and told me to take a seat, indicating the waiting area by Hematology. Which 90% of the seats were taken. She told me not to stand in HER door. I was not in front of her door, actually I was standing across the hall against a wall that was not on the same wall as her door. She came out and told me not to stand in her door a second time, of which I was over to 12 feet away. She indicated for me to sit down the hall away from HER door on bench seats 10-15 feet away. I am a veteran and do not need some contract employee telling me were I can or cannot stand. This is a VA Hospital and she does not have authority to tell veterans were they can stand. If she has a problem with veterans or who we are, she should find another place to work. I served my time in HELL (Vietnam) and don't need some disgruntled contract employee telling me what to do until I am actually in her work space. read more

Korrect Optical like mentioned before provides glasses for The VA. They are not very attentive to detail. I don't understand how do you have an order placed, and make the incorrect lens, repeatedly. I'm now waiting on the fourth order 2 months later. The first order was lost by USPS. Called the lab to ask them about told I would get another pair made and sent out. Three weeks later got the pair, wrong prescription. Went into the VA for help, they place a third order for me, glasses were not made with the specific lens requested and sent a bent frame. So everything was off center, and gave me headaches right away. Went in again to the VA, and again put in another order that I am currently waiting on, maybe they will get it right this time. Probably not. Year after year there is alway a mistake with my glasses. Very disappointed with the lab the VA chose for veterans, wish they actually cared about the service they provide for the community they service. This facility is very clean, great location and has a great selection of eye wear to choose from. However, the Doctor I saw on 2 occasions was very rude and did not explain what she was doing as she did the examinations or fit me for contacts. I left both times feeling like I was wasting her time, as mine was also wasted. I still can not see any better and have resorted to going back to using "readers." I have insurance and could afford to buy a pair of glasses, but I refuse to beg someone to help me. Everyone in this office is friendly and helpful. Dr. Summers is very personable and knowledgeable. He answers any questions I may have and makes sure I understand. The optician, Anthony, knows his styles. He helps ensure the perfect fit, from checking that the eyelashes don't touch the lenses to choosing a frame that doesn't sit too low on the cheeks. Only had one less than stellar experience there when I made a useless trip there to pick up my glasses when told by staff that they were in but weren't . A fairly long trip at that, as I don't live in close proximity to the store. Other than that staff have always been excellent, efficient and very friendly. I specifically made a yelp account just to place a review of my visit. The Good: Dr. Summers is fantastic. He is very personable, informative and more than happy to answer any and every question you may have. Like another person said, Dr. Summers works quickly but in no way is he rushing through your exam. He is confident in his work, is organized and efficient, and it shows. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for a new OD. The office is clean and has a great selection of frames. The Bad: The staff that work in the front. Ie; receptionist (he may or may not also be an optician but happened to be working behind the front desk during my visit) as well as the three other opticians who were there. I as well as other clients who came in after were greeted with a dry and abrupt "Hi. How can I help you?" While I was browsing frames he and the other opticians were just openly talking about clients they were just interacting with regarding how difficult they were, their personal (negative) opinions of said client as well as others, etc. Not one of the opticians offered to help me choose or try on frames.They are essentially working in a customer service setting whether they realize it or not and that is not how you conduct yourself in said environment. If staff want to discuss which patients they like, dislike, be snarky and rude about how they can't stand certain individuals who come in periodically, then do it in the break room, in your off time, or at least when there aren't clients in there who can obviously hear what is being said and are paying more attention than you think they might be. Also, whispering closely as opposed to using your normal speaking volume across the room would help you be more discreet if you just ABSOLUTELY MUST vent about how difficult and picky a woman is about her frames and how many questions she has right then and there. I was NOT impressed with their severe lack of interpersonal skills in addition to clear lack of professionalism that was displayed during my visit. After hearing and seeing how some of the staff conducted themselves in addition to being ignored I ultimately decided not to purchase my frames from this location. Overall: I gave a 3 star rating ONLY because of my great experience with Dr. Summers. The staff I encountered were just not up to par and they make up half of the overall visit. It was as if everyone was on their best behavior the moment he stepped in the room so I doubt he is even aware. If I noticed this today, imagine how many other clients have noticed and not said anything or just stopped going to this office completely. In the future I will entertain the idea of going out of my way to a different Korrect location or will switch doctors entirely. read more

Was here because my spouse had a great experience and told me I should check them out. I am glad I did. They were terrific. The guy in the front actually pulled some glasses for me to try while I was in with the doctor and then several of them sat with me to help me find the right frame for my face. Both my coworker and I had unpleasant experience with this office. The optometrist although pleasant and efficient, is not very thorough in annual eye exam compared to other couple of optometrists I've seen with previous networks from work. Check out is very unorganized. The receptionist never bothered to order the contacts until I've contacted the office myself. Even when the contacts have arrived, no one in the office bothered to call until I called to check on them. There are hidden fees that I've never heard of until everything is already done. The worker could not explain the details of extra fee. I was just told it was part of the exam and that it wasn't covered by insurance. The staff seems unorganized and unprofessional. Neither my coworker or I will be coming back to this office. We will both be spreading the words to our fellow coworkers who are in the same network. read more

My boyfriend is a Navy Veteran who got his glasses here through thenVA hospital.We were not made to feel welcome at all when we came into the store.We were told to sign in and take a seat in the waiting area.We did.While we were there we saw a woman come in after us and was waited on before us.Aftet that we saw the lady look around to see who else she could call up before she reluctantly called up my boyfriend.When he got up there he requested that his glasses be repaired.She said his name wad not on the list and he would have to go back to the place where he got them.He said it was there.She ignored him and repeated twice more that he needed to go back to where he got him.We got disgusted and left.If this is how they are going to treat Veterans maybe they should lose their contract with the VA who we will be contacting to file a complaint with them also.It was disgraceful how he was treated.He now feels he was treated this way because he was a Veteran and Japanese American read more

I have tried other optical shops and always end up back at Korrect. They easily have the best selection of frames around. A pair of glasses that I recently ordered were not in stock and I was told they were shipped from overseas and would take 6 weeks. I am forced to use this location due to the fact that they have the contract with the VA for eyeglasses. I have cataracts, glaucoma. And early onset Macular degeneration. Light causes severe migraines. The Va sent an order over for progressive bifocals ( no lines ) they also said I needed transition lenses and a grey #1 tint on the lenses for inside the house for migraines. Problem is, I got neither progressives nor tint. I went online and took the survey and even received a call from a manager apologizing for the mistake and promising the new pair would be perfect. I received a call from the lab yesterday saying that they had not received the glasses back but that they would get started right away and to clarify I did not want any tint nor progressives! Aghhhhh! I called today was told the lenses are done they just need the grey#1 tint applied I said oh awesome you managed to tint the transition lenses.....she said um no your not getting transitions I said can you read the Drs. Notes in the prescription? She said yes I asked her to do so out loud as I have a copy, transition lenses medically necessary, progressive bifocal, grey #1 tint for inside use is medically necessary. So I said you just disregard Drs orders and make what you want? She said I can't apply tint to transition lenses. I said yes you can I emailed the company and they said you could. She told me we don't do all that for VA customers we don't get enough money for it. Oh sorry I am wheelchair bound for serving my country. I have waited 43 days for glasses. I went for an exam and new eyeglasses. The exam went smoothly and found some cool new frames. The doctor was open and pleasant, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would caution anyone that it isn't cheapest place to buy glasses. I was further hurt by the fact they didn't take my insurance. It was worth it though. My last time visiting an eye doctor, I went to Visionworks. What a nightmare. Going to Visionworks is like going to the DMV. You, sit and wait, and wait and sit. Then when they finally do call you, you are herded through the place like cattle heading to slaughter. I had a barely competent girl handle the preliminaries. I assume she was an Ophthalmic Technician. She was very young and didn't seem very experienced. You know that test that blows a puff of air into your eye, she had to do it like 5 or 6 times on each eye. Sorry if I started to cringe away from the machine after the third of forth time, but it was like waiting to be poked in eye. And, then the doctor seemed so heedless of social cues, I honestly thought he had Aspergers or something. Which isn't a bad thing, if he did have, good for him, it just made for any rather unsettling exam. I didn't even know the exam was over, he just sort of motioned me to the door, and turned his back to me. So, I took slow steps looking over my shoulder to see if he needed anything else from me. When I got to the door I figured that the exam must be over. Then on to get the my glasses. The women I worked with didn't stop talking for two seconds. From short uneven bursts of conversation and awkward pauses with the doctor to non-stop chatter with the frames girls. And, she apparently had had a huge number of medical problems, of which I heard about what I had to believe was all of them. I guess I'm getting off point.
