However, what really sold me were two things: (1) the customer service of the staff and (2) the arcade's strive for innovation and progression in enhancing the VR experience. The staff where very kind and accommodating, even with our large party of 7. They did their best to provide a wide range of games for us to play. In addition, after our time was up, my friends and I got to beta test their first multiplayer VR backpacks. Imagine being able to physically move around and play with your friends in an open space - awesome, right? This is a but a glimpse of what Escape VR at Oxford, MI can provide to the public. I'm only in Michigan for vacation this weekend, but this visit was the most memorable. As an engineer, I appreciate their innovation and profession in VR, and I hope the next time I visit MIchigan, I get to see how much this place has grown.

We couldn't reserve a spot because of parties, but we really didn't have that long to wait. There are plenty of games to occupy you. The 'course' or whatever you call it was really cool. Lots of ramps and hiding spaces and plenty of room for 30 ish people at a time. Very safe and easy to understand and a ton of fun. My main concerns going in- *Can the harness accommodate larger adults? YES! Several of our guests are plus sized and they had no problem strapping the vest on. * can my 5 yr old niece play? YES! The first had us clinging to each other walking on cobblestones high above the water. But, the second game we had a weapon to shot off the zombie attack. Stellar graphics and just all out fun with all 8 of us shouting out commands as we were bombarded by the life like full size zombies. A++ for the overall experience in the VR arena. Plus, the Boss complex has other fun activities to entertain from high-speed Go-Karts to their caged Ax throwing. Premier spot for family, friends or even your work function with a large private reception area. Can't wait to suit back up in the VR Arena...

The company Christmas party was hosted here…read more The pizza was easily the most bland, improperly cooked and made with what tasted like pancake batter I have ever had the displeasure of eating. Terribly overpriced (think airport pricing) and poorly made drinks. The staff was very young and inexperienced while the "manager" on shift that night was obviously exceptionally high (could tell from his smell and severely impaired motor skills). I don't care for these types of establishments in general (game based experience for adults) but this was so bad that I feel compelled to warn others to keep your distance.

I didn't indulge in the food or beverages. Maybe next time.

One of the pool tables is too close to the video games and some tables for drinks. One of the tables has a bit of a slant to it and when you shoot a ball it does not go straight. There is no rake so forget using that to make the hard shots right now. There was only one rack for two tables and it is broken. I'm getting sick of going there and having very substandard equipment. If this goes on much longer I won't be back. The felt on one table is ripped and it could have been repaired quite a while back. There's a nice VR game there but the headset has a messed up strap. Last time I was there it was broken so only one of the two positions was usable to play. They did some ghetto fix for it but it's really not up to par. When that place is busy it's packed and I know they have the money for maintenance. There's no reason for this.
