    I saw Dr Frye last month and was returning today for a follow-up visit…read more My appointment was at 8:20 and I thought it was at 8:30. I arrived at 8:28 per my phone clock and was told by the receptionist that since it was "almost" 8:30 I would have to reschedule. I said "You've got to be kidding". Another young lady spoke up and said they schedule patients every 20 minutes and the procedure would take the full 20 minutes so yes I would have to reschedule. I said don't bother rescheduling ... IF I choose to come back ... I'll call you. Yes I was late ... but 8 minutes? There was 1 other person in the reception area ... she stepped forward and offered me her appointment at 8:40. She said it was ridiculous that I was being forced to reschedule. I thanked the lady for her offer but declined her generosity. I will not be rescheduling and will not be returning. I was happy with Dr Frye during my initial visit, but the office staff attitude has caused Bluffton Eye Care to lose a customer.

Ms.Frye did my exam and it turned out good…read more Went out with the ladies to pick out frames and chose to put $20 down to start that process as well. All good until the next day. I evidently laid the scripts down on my table that swallows everything important. My bad.anyhow, I called back to the eye doctor and asked for a duplicate scripts and when my husband went to pick them up, the lady that came to the locked doors was hateful, very cold and nasty. With all that "love" she sent him back to his car after he explained again why he had returned. This lady came out to my car, and the crappy attitude got really heated and almost threw things at him. He comes home, I cancelled my glasses . Now, 2 weeks down the road and we go to get new glasses. Yeah RIGHT..NOT HAPPENING !! Their office says they released my insurance. I say , after speaking to my insurance company on 3 occasions, that they are making my life miserable and laughing about it. So Here's to Bluffton Family Eye care.. You suck !!!!!!! You said the insurance has been called and rectified. My insurance says you are telling big stories. I don't care who or what or when....JUST FIX IT !!!

They dilated my eyes and when I asked if it was okay for me to drive they said "um yes"...to which I made it about 20 feet down the road until I had to call my husband to pick me up because I was driving blind. The staff was not friendly at check-in or check-out. Just overall a horrible experience.

After the exam they could not allow us to pick out and order new glasses and said we would have to make another appointment to do that. Pull my son out of school the next day to order his glasses and they claimed he was ineligible, due to the fact when my other son got contacts earlier this year they messed up and put it through insurance under the wrong child. They proceeded to state I owed for a contact lenses exam and I refused and told them that we made it very clear that is not what my son wanted the day prior. They said that they would cancel it and my son would not be able to get contacts, which is fine because he never wanted them! I went to my car and spent a half hour on the phone with our insurance correcting this facilities insurance mess up. When I went back to the door they refused to see my son to order glasses and said we would have to set up yet another appointment. I said it is only a half hour after our original appointment and I had to fix your mistake with insurance and you can't let him pick out his glasses? The associate laughed and shrugged her shoulders and shut the door. I have never experienced such horrible service as this place. There was a gentleman that came in the day before and asked for help because he was having trouble with the glasses they sold him. They told him that he would need to schedule and appointment and they said it must be in the morning. He said he didn't get off work daily until 3pm. They told him then they couldn't help him unless he could be there in the morning. He walked out frustrated without any help. They called me five hours after my complaint for their rudeness and stated I could set up an appointment and they fixed their mistake with the insurance. I had already fixed their insurance mess and got my sons glasses picked out and ordered from another eye center five hours before they thought they should address their absolute rudeness from their associate. I would drive an hour to Fort Wayne before I ever allow my children to go to this center for care

    Love the doctors there who are great and wonderful, but front desk is a nightmare. They always have…read morean attitude when you come in and over the phone they get even bolder. Tried ordering glasses on the website pair because I lost my old pair and needed new ones for cheap and didn't have my prescription on me. I'm in fort wayne currently with my newborn in the NICU so going home to search for it was not an option, so the website said they could contact the office for it. I quickly got an email saying that the office said I wasn't a patient of theirs. Of all things that bother me, it's lying. There's no excuse for it. So why they did, I don't know, but I had to call them to straighten it out. And oh my lord what a headache. The woman was refusing to simply read a few numbers out loud on the phone. Talk about laziness! I even explained that, no, I can not come in and physically pick up my prescription, and that I didn't need a new prescription or anything physical, all I needed was a few numbers read out loud to me. It was that simple! But she wanted to give me attitude and refuse to do the most simple task that I could have possibly asked for. Thankfully a family member near by is able to stop in, but they're just going to do what I asked for in the beginning, call me and read out loud numbers on a paper. I think it's insanely childish and petty to first of all lie, and then secondly get an attitude just because they were called out on it, and then refuse a simple task, aka their job, because they're mad. They claimed it was illegal which is such a reach, I would have been glad to provide any sort of identifying information needed, but the entire conversation she had an attitude! I always thought they were a bit unpleasant coming in to pick things up but this really solidified my opinion of them. It's a shame because again like I said the doctors there are great, but the receptionists really ruin it!
