I got a cheesesteak which didn't blow me away, but was decent enough. We all split some pickle spears and pretzel appetizers. Again, not too bad. The Spicy Smokehouse dipping sauce that came with the pickles was delicious! There's plenty of seating in the main room with the live music, as well as seats upstairs. We opted to sit in the anteroom that connects with the coffee shop. It had several tables, as well as a little area for kids to play - they even provided some toys and books and it kept Child #2 entertained after he wolfed down his dinner. There are old movie posters from the Box Office's old days that add a little charm and nostalgia. Pro Tip - cash is king! They gave a small discount for paying in cash (i.e. didn't pass on the surcharge for paying by card). Maybe I'm just a Yankee not used to southern hospitality, but I was blown away by how friendly not only the staff were, but also the other diners. The winery is both dog- and kid-friendly. All the parents we encountered kept their children supervised, which is a winery rule and one I really appreciate now that we have kids ourselves. Most of the dogs were also very well behaved, though one was repeatedly growling at passing dogs, which was off-putting. While the winery can't control every patron, we choose to leave our dog at home when she's not in a social mood, and it would be nice if all dog owners did the same.

I appreciate their guidance on my annoyingly intense dislike of all hazy, juicy, or milkshake-y beers. Just stop. Also, a surprising amount of space within the brewery from what you expect from outside. Hung out and worked in the loft which I highly recommend for study groups or non-study groups. But then I joined everyone else outside in the fantastic set up: a food truck, generous amount of seating, great conversation with locals, and such a talented singer/songwriter performing. Very happy I visited on a Friday. Truly disappointed that this gem of a place isn't in my neighborhood. I would be a regular to the nth degree!

But, for the volume of the music to become the focus of the day, you'd best be The Rolling Stones! We were sitting right in front of the kitchen which appeared to be run by a microwave, so that's never a good sign. I think this would have been a better experience if their barn didn't have a private even going.
