They have great local pastries perfect for gifts when traveling. Price is fair with a lot of choices. They could also put your purchase in a box for ease of travel. I highly recommend a stop here for any visitor coming to Bacolod. read more

I saw a sign that said 10% service charge for sitting inside the air conditioned area, which was fine by me. I'm happy to pay a little extra to sit in an air conditioned restaurant. First, let me say the servers we had were very helpful and took care of us throughout our entire meal. They were quite attentive, more so than most places I've been to. So where do I begin... as we approached the restaurant, it just seems to be this hole in the wall side of the road spot, by many accounts it is, however this little place opens inside to a much larger dining area and is quite busy with people. As we were choosing the dishes to eat, the butcher, or whatever you call the guy who's in charge of taking your seafood, weighing it, and asking how you would like it cooked, so this guy pushed some rotten fish on us! WTF! Let me say this, the adobo squid was really good, the lobster was ok, just ok or just sub par, the scallops are about average as anyplace in the Philippines, but the fish they served in the soup was straight up rotten!! You could smell it right away as soon as they brought it to the table. I wanted to complain but everyone I was with said just don't eat it... Filipino shyness of actually saying what's on your mind, not polite really, just I think it's more of a cultural shyness. Nonetheless, WTF! Rotten fish, NASTY! I'm going to leave it at that. So many blogs I read tout this restaurant. SKIP IT! Go to a real restaurant and enjoy a nice meal or inspect what you purchase before you buy it. Enough said. My bill was over 2300 pesos... seriously I could have have a Wagyu Steak and Bone Marrow for about 500 less and enjoyed savoring my meal! Stay Hungry!

Tender, juicy, crispy and absolutely full of flavor. The hanging rice was also something I've missed. There's a hint of banana leaf (clean flavor) and scent in the rice. It's not as compact as I remembered though, this one sort of falls off which was a bit of a disappointment. They provide benches and tables for those who wants to eat there. But it's outdoor. They also provide plastic gloves for those who want to use their hands to eat. It's kind of fun because that's something new to me. In the old days, you just eat with your hands and just wash before and after. They still provide hand washing center though so no worries. Overall, a fun eat. And a must when you're in town.

Chicken Deli separtes itself from the rest because it is one of Bacolod's oldest and most popular chicken inasal joint. I can still remember my childhood days where I look forward to the weekend because then my parents would bring us to have dinner at Chiken Deli. More than the nostagia, Chicken Deli remains to be one of Bacolod's best tasting chicken inasal joint. Their recipe remains unchanged all these years. Their chicken remains distinctly yummy. Of note though is that their chicken is smaller than what you'll find in Mang Inasal, or any other inasal joint for that matter. But while it's smaller, it's definitely tastier. Chicken Deli offers more than just the famous chicken inasal though, you can also order Filipino favorites such as sinigang, adobo, lumpia, and so much more. Don't believe me? Go ahead and try it yourself, you're likely to agree with my review when you do.

I absolutely love this city even though I am not from here. Primarily, the reason for coming here is to visit my father-in-law. It's been a long while since I last saw him. It was a really nice visit because he is getting older and he is a character--full of life and laughter. The best part especially, is that he was very accommodating about our stay. It was very sweet of him to do so. He took us around the city including this very market before the big festival started. Here, you will find everything you need for souvenirs, snacks, all sorts of fruits, anything you need for cooking--the works! Anyway, you "cannot not eat" here! It might take some adjustments if you are known to be high class but for me, I am always down for the best experiences life has to offer. Your feet can get dirty and you might get into some little or lots of puddles along the way going in. I highly recommend being open to checking out an open market such as this where they sell meats, poultry and everything else! I had so much fun here. This city is truly known for the best mangoes in the world. Kid you not. Mangoes from Guimaras are the best! They have this beautiful yellow color and the fragrant is heavenly sweet. You can almost taste it even with its skin on. They are just as good if you prefer to eat them when they are green. So when you want to buy these babies from other places? Ask where it's from. When you hear Guimaras, you must buy! I love this market!

I have come here as one for the tourist attraction because there are truly a thing of beauty! This large central market is pretty much home to anything you can think of. Pasalubongs. Food (Sarap Sarap!). Clothes. Games. People. You name it. You can't leave without buying a barrel man and woman hahahaha. The next thing here is the WET market! ITS REALLY WET!!! It rains all the dang time lol and its almost like an outside swap meet. They have covering over the market but of course something gets through so be sure to wear your anything shoes. The wet market is where vendors gather around to sell all the goods Rice Fish Produce Their rendition of food trucks, the street carts Desserts You name it!!!! Its really an experience you have to check out if you ever come to IloIlo City, Philippines. Just enjoy the people watching will blow your mind. watching all the races and blends of people gather and interact here is amazing. Watching the kids place throughout the market. Along with the original, there are now other locations, including a smaller version called Bob's Café. They are well known for their burgers, but have grown their menu since the early 70s. It was nostalgic to return to Bob's after over 30 years of being away. We ordered a few items on the menu and was not disappointed. The Lengua in mushroom sauce was a bit too soupy for my taste. Salpicao was tender, and the fried isul was pretty good. Overall, service was good but not as good as it was decades ago when it was more personal. However, food was also good but competition from newer restaurants have made it somewhat mediocre. Even so, Bob's will remain a staple in this city, especially for those of us who grew up coming to Bob's.
