The lady who handles the front is absolutely fantastic and she definitely remembers the regulars. I heard her talking to other patrons and remembering their orders from the last time and she always had great recommendations. Now onto the food, we tried a bunch of stuff. So much that the cooks wanted to make sure that this was all just for two people. . The basil stir fry, fried rice, pad see yew, papaya salad, tom yum and their soft rolls. It was all FANTASTIC! We left about half of the menu for us to try next time The fact that this place was in downtown Scottsville and wasn't covered up tells me that not enough folks know about this place yet. It's worth the trip from BG if you're around and maybe even further. It's a great experience and we'll definitely be coming back through.

We ordered a bunch of things and then shared it family style. The Tom Yum and Tom Kha soups were excellent. The Pad Thai with chicken and the Orange Chicken were out of this world as was the Cashew Nut Chicken! The spring rolls and soft rolls were good too and the dipping sauces that come with them are remarkable. The waitress who, I think, was the owner was very sweet and helped us a lot with what to choose. If I lived in the area, I would eat here all the time, for sure. So good!

Hidden gem alert -- some of the best Thai food I've had anywhere!…read more I was in Bowling Green on business and was honestly surprised by how many different ethnic restaurants there are here -- Asian, Hispanic, African -- such a fun mix for a smaller city. I ended up at Asian Kitchen Thai & Lao Food, and wow... what a find. I wish I lived closer because I'd be here almost every day. The Vibe: Asian Kitchen sits in a small strip center and only has a couple of tables inside, which tells me most of their business is takeout -- probably 99%. It's simple and unpretentious, but very clean and well-kept. Service: This is where the place really shines. The owner greeted me as soon as I walked in and couldn't have been more welcoming. We chatted a bit, and he shared that his father started the restaurant and he's now carrying it on. You can feel the pride and care in what they do -- it's clearly a family-run business built on authentic recipes and genuine hospitality. Service was quick, warm, and full of that kind of local charm that makes you want to come back. Food & Drinks: I ordered the Thai Fried Rice with tofu (stir-fried jasmine rice with egg, carrot, peas, and onions), and it was absolutely divine. Perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and full of fresh flavor. As I'm writing this review, I'm honestly wishing I had some of it with me right now. Overall: If you're in the Bowling Green area or even just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop at Asian Kitchen. It's a true hidden gem -- authentic, family-run, and serving some of the best Thai food I've had anywhere in the country.

You can have most any dish vegetarian, or with chicken/pork/beef/seafood. And most dishes are generous portions for around 16 dollars. That's a deal for a lot of food, made with quality ingredients to boot. My favorite is the drunken noodles. My husband's go to is the house fried rice with chicken. I got their stir fried veggies with chicken today and it was one of their blander dishes. But the veggies were crunchy and delish. The main thing here is the service. They are super nice people you can feel really good about supporting. I waited one hour for takeout today because three large tables came in right before my arrival. Not only were they really apologetic, they gave me a 25 dollar gift card. I didn't expect that and they didn't have to do it, but this is an example of why we continue to patronize this place that's over an hour from where we live!

The gyro is phenomenal, and the goulash is one of our favorites. What really sets this place apart is that it's a small, family-run business. I've been going here for years, and I genuinely love this family and what they've built. You can feel that it's authentic and made with care. The inside is galley- style with three tables near the entrance and cash register area with approximately five or six booths that seat four. There's also a small two person table toward to back. Decor is nice, fresh and with an Asian theme. The booths and almost all of the tables were full when we arrived at 6:30 pm on a Wednesday. We sat at the front larger table at the windows and it was a bit cool and breezy with all of the people going in and out but the overall temperature inside was comfortable. It appears they are doing a good amount of take out as well as dine in service. The music playing was a nice sampler track of acoustic guitar, just wish the entire songs were allowed to play instead of 30-45 seconds of each one. Pick up a large and colorful menu at the kiosk just inside the door as you walk in or get one at the register. Be aware there are two menus, the main one with most of the items offered and then a second one for specialty drinks. You can take your menus to a table/booth to decide what you want to order just like we did since this was our first visit, and then you'll need to go back to the register to order and pay. They give a "cash discount" so keep in mind you'll be paying a 4% higher price for using a credit card. Not sure about debit cards so ask before paying. The service was quick, friendly and efficient. Our drinks were brought out right away, a soda (Pepsi products), water with lemon (no charge) and a Thai Milk Tea with Crystal Boba. The Thai Milk Tea was well balanced being not too sweet, too watery or too strong. The boba were fresh and just the right texture. We both ordered the Hibachi Chicken which comes with a clear chicken broth soup that has a bit of shredded chicken and chopped green onion in it, a larger sized side of fried rice, hibachi grilled mixed vegetables (cabbage, broccoli, carrot, zucchini, onion), and the hibachi chicken that is lightly seasoned and sauced. A small dish of the Yum Yum & ginger sauce which was mild added a bit of flavor and was served on the side. Portion size was ample and we were both moderately hungry when we arrived and left quite full. Didn't use the restrooms but if the cleanliness and overall appeal of the restaurant are an indicator they are likely in good shape. Parking was readily available immediately outside on the square, more available on side streets as well.
