One of our favorite easy bites in Madrid, we're surprised to find that 4 sandwiches plus cerveza cost only 7.5€. Ordered the Pollo a la mostaza (mustard chicken), Pavo con Manzanas (Turkey w/apples), Atun con Tomate (Tuna w/Tomatoes), and Champinon, piquillo y anchoa (yes, anchovies), among other things like side croquettas, they are all delicious and freshly made. I have tried almost all of the smoothies at this point and have enjoyed them all. The nomanches de pollo sandwich and sobrino consentido salad are what I tend to gravitate back to, but I have tried other items off the menu and really enjoyed them all. I think the waitstaff there recognizes me now (probably can't help it when a woman who orders in half English/half butchered Spanish comes in every other day for 2 or 3 week periods every couple of months), and I have always had friendly interactions with them all. Overall, a great spot that I am happy to have found. One thing that would be much appreciated as a person who is still working on their Spanish - have at least one menu translated into other languages :) I have ordered a number of items and enjoyed them all so far, but if I knew what everything on the menu that would be very helpful! Another suggestion would be to open earlier! I would love to have their smoothies and other breakfast options when I am in town, but they do not open until 9am which is after I am already working.
