3rd trip to this shop today. I originally had the rear tires replaced on my Prius now the front…read moreones were done. I commute daily from Tucson to Nogales for work and have not had any issues. Last year I had a new set put on the rear of my Bolt and now it is time to get the front done. Good deal on the tires, and they have a huge selection in stock. Typically I go to Discount tire but they don't have one in Nogales and I like to drop off the car on my lunch break.

Terrible customer service by all the managers especially Carlos. I went to have my new tires…read moreinstalled and balanced. Got on the highway right afterwards to check and make sure the balance was okay. It was not. Between 70-80mph it was lightly shaking due to it not being balanced correctly. Went back and then they started telling me 2 of the tires were no good even though they were brand new. They "re-balanced" them and I took it again on the highway to check out. Turns out it was way worse now. It would shake violently as sone as 55mph and only got worse and the speed increased. Turns out all they did was remove some of the balance weights on the wheel and it was no longer balanced. Not sure why they thought this was the solution. Went back for the 3rd time and let them know that it was worse than the first time. Spoke to Manager Carlos and explained to him that all they did was remove weights from 2 wheels. Told me that the tires are no good and that's why. I insisted that I would like them rebalanced and left how they were the first time that I can live with them that way but not how they are right now. He told me they can but I'll have to pay an additional $30. I argued that I shouldn't have to pay again since I already paid $68 for the balance for all 4 on top of the $68 for the install which was a total of $148 and now an additional $30. He didn't care. He said if I want them rebalanced I'll have to pay the extra $30 even thought it was their error. All I wanted was for them to be balanced again they were the first time. That right there is terrible customer service. Do not come here. As you can see the other reviews they have terrible customer service. Plenty of other tires shops around here.

( I sometimes had to wait days for parts to arrive at the dealership up in Tucson, too.) In my experience, the service department does everything it says it will do and my vehicle always leaves there "well repaired." But, like at the doctor's office, sometimes service runs a little slower than expected, depending on what turns up during the "examination." They provide a priority list of what needs attention right away and what might need attention in the near future so you can decide what's within your budget. Both online and at the store, there always seem to be coupons available that lower the cost of service and repairs. By the way, I am an elderly female.

Jonathan was totally unwilling to listen to my concern about this store never having the parts needed and the fact that it takes DAYS to get the parts in order to service my car, a Hyundai Accent. I asked Jonathan to check out my car YESTERDAY, not work on it, so he could order the parts I might need so they could order them YESTERDAY, DAY 1! He said he had 10 customers in front of my car and refused to find a solution to help me. I explained that I did NOT want them to work on my car YESTERDAY, I wanted them to check it out so they could have the parts they needed TODAY. He said he would have my car looked at the FIRST thing today. The store opens a 8 am, I called at 10 am because I had not heard from him. They had done NOTHING with my car yet. I later called after NOON DAY 2 and they found the problem, but had not called to tell me. They need to order one part from Phoenix. I offered to drive to Phoenix to pick it up and his assistant refused to allow me to do that. According to the assistant, the needed part will arrive TOMORROW by 8 am. I said I needed the car by 11 am TOMORROW because, otherwise, my life would be in danger because, as a woman and a senior citizen it is not safe to travel to Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico later in the day. TODAY I had someone to travel with me. TOMORROW I will not. If I don't get my car EARLY TOMORROW, I will be even more in danger if I have to travel into Mexico on the weekend. Spring Breaks are overlapping from school, colleges and university to traffic will be crazy. I explained to Jonathan that I would be in danger if he did not check out my car on DAY 1. He did not care. I hope nothing will happen to me, however, I want my family and friends to know that Pep Boys was indifferent to my situation and drug their feet. If I had been a man and young (the cars they worked on before they got to me 24 hours later, and halfway through DAY 2), I would not have been treated this way. I realize people do not want to work for Jonathan and that is why you are short staffed, Pep Boys must deal with this situation so that YOU are a service and WE, the customers, are not made to feel that WE are at YOUR service. The cost of this service will be over $2,000.00. I do not mind paying for good mechanical service, I just hate to contribute to Jonathan's paycheck because of his misogamy/machismo and disrespect for senior citizens. Please note the communication from Pep Boys TODAY about WHEN my car would be ready, 9:30 a.m. TODAY, DAY 2!

I took my ford escape to get serviced because It was making a strange noise. The mechanic said It…read moreneeded new engine mounts and that would solve the problem. paid $700 when they finished I still heard the same noise. I was still in their parking area. so I told them.. then they rechecked it and found that the noise was coming from the wheel. they fixed it but also charged me for that repair... so then I take my ford expedition because my AC went out. they said they would have to fill it with freon and ink and then I would have to bring it back so they could check it.. I was charged $112 for that...so I did when I brought it back they said it was the dryer and it had to be replaced... charged $227 I said ok... from that day May 25 I took my car back 4 times because the Air was not blowing cold... every time I took the vehicle back they said the dryer was defective. on the fourth visit they said oh we found that it wasn't the dryer it was the evaporator core and now wanted to charge me more. I told them no that they misdiagnosed again and that the money that I paid for the dryer should be credited towards the money that would be paid for the evaporator core... the manager said no. I said then refund me my money back because I'm not going to pay more. I did get a full refund for the AC but will never go here again... So if you plan on taking your vehicle here to get serviced just letting you know they charge $65 per hour not hour worked but what they say would normally take to fix whatever you took to get fixed even it only takes them 1 hour but the job would normally take 4 hours they will charge you $260 just for labor fees... and on top of that misdiagnose and you will end up paying more to actually have what you took it in for to get fixed.
