This was my third time at VIP Recon. They have always done a good job with tint and are always friendly. I struggled with this visit however. I had an afternoon appointment and when I showed up no other customers were there, and no one else came after I was there. I always ask for them to do some kind of detail work with the tint appointment. This time however they refused to accept any detailing work and flat out told me they didn't provide those services, despite it being on the wall behind them and on the website. They did a great job with the tint as always, but it was apparent they were closing early and the employees locked up the store and were all back to their cars before I could even get to mine. read more

If you are interested in working with a company that won't stand behind their poor quality work, this is the company for you! The front bumper obviously has poor installation issues. The inside edge of the door where it meets the fender wasn't installed well either. Take a look at their tint job, some of it is peeling and some aren't even tinted to the edge of the window. Makes sense why they undercut their competitors pricing. I contacted them to get these issues resolved, Moises said he would cover these issues but the manager Angela told me they can trim their errors as a fix. The car is only 3 years old and there's a 10 year warranty on the clear PPF and lifetime warranty on the tint. UPDATE 4/13/25 - Tristan, i am surprised of the company's response. Based on what was told to my husband, VIP Recon was just going to call Yelp and have this review removed. Had someone actually said to us what you offered here, maybe we could have worked something out. However, based on the tone over the phone, businesses are always right and customers are always wrong...so good luck with the future growth. We are working with Expel directly now on compensations for the poor workmanship, so no point to hash out the details here anymore. I originally brought my car in for a window tint and noticed noticeable contamination marks (dust/debris trapped under the film) after it dried. They agreed to redo it. When I picked up the car a second time, the exact same issue was present--contamination marks left under the film yet again. I took it back and the shop completely refused to make it right or offer a solution, essentially telling me I just had to live with it. Mistakes happen, but refusing to stand behind your work after a second failed attempt is unacceptable customer service. Save your money and go to a shop that prioritizes cleanliness and stands by their warranty. I do expect a flawless window especially the driver one. But was told I should not expect perfection basically I should expect contamination spots? I came here based on the raving reviews but had a completely different experience. read more
