DO NOT GO HERE!! This place is beyond filthy with coatings of dust and grime everywhere (zoom in on the pictures attached). The Board of Health needs to be made aware! You can barely breathe with the toxic smell of chemicals... and the staff is more involved with talking loudly to each other across the room than communicating with customers. Before I had a chance to stop her, the woman giving me a pedicure used a sharp callus remover on the delicate skin on top of my feet - especially near my ankle bone. She shaved off chunks of skin in three places! She washed it off with dirty pedicure water then sprayed it with an unknown substance that she didn't explain. I wouldn't be surprised if customers walked out of the dump with staph infections. Again, beyond disgusting - stay away. read more

This place is clean but some of the staff do not listen to what the customer wants and how they will like their nails to be done . I will go there to get my nails done and when I let the person who's doing my nails I don't like it , he suddenly start giving me attitude and expect me to take it and leave it . I've been coming here for years and have yet to be disappointed. They are reasonably priced and the service is fast. I typically get their gel manicure and regular pedicure special and I've had that service done by most of the workers there and the only difference b/w them all is in the way they complete pedicures. Some of them will spend more time scrubbing and massaging your foot, while others get it over and done with in 15 seconds. That can be annoying, but it's not a dealbreaker. I recently worked with someone and asked her to give me an almond shape for the first time and it came out awesome! My pedicure and manicure usually last me 4 to 6 weeks. read more

To start off, the ventilation in this dump leaves a lot to be desired. I'm surprised the employees can stand to be there all day. The woman who attended to me had zero personality and acted as a robot. Must've been the fumes! Then, she and her co-workers began to converse loudly in another language, without any regard to the other employees who were brave enough to be in that place. At first I loved his place. In prior occasions, I was seated quickly and they did a good job. Now, the recent two times I went they did a bad job and my nails did not last a day. I got gel powder on my nails and gel on my toes. The gel powder on my hands started to peel that same afternoon. I had the callus remover done and when I got home and my feet dried up they felt very rough. Terrible job. DO NOT USE THIS SALON. Here's my experience...I have been getting gel pedicures since 2020. I recently moved to NY from TX, as a healthcare worker, I worked during the COVID response and fell in love with gel pedicures while out in Los Angeles because they last long and are practical especially for a 7 on and 7 off shift worker like myself. I have been getting the classic white gel pedicure for the past 2 years, yesterday I went to this salon as it's down the street from where I live and I am shopping nail salons, I have been to 4 and they are not good in this area for some reason...The service that I received from this place was horrendous. The owner of the salon, sat and listened and watched as her technician acted as though he didn't know how to talk, literally not answering any of my questions about the pedicure and when he spoke to me it was with a nasty attitude, like am I NOT supposed to tell you how I would like my nails, for a second I thought he was paying for my pedicure and then I remembered I was paying for my own nails! I arrived at around 4 as a walk in, apparently I had just missed the rush, so I thought whew, this is gonna be great, since so many people were coming in...Nope. The technician never put the chair in a position where my legs could be comfortable in the basin as I am tall, the chair literally remained in the same position it was in when I sat down for the pedicure, he used a paper towel on the foot rest, which in my opinion was disturbing as it got so saturated and basically felt nasty under my feet after he sanded my old polish he never even replaced it. When he put the clay mask on my legs, he put it half way up my leg and got it all over the back of the chair, I asked him why didn't he put it on my entire leg and he complied slapping the mask on my legs up to the knee as requested, like for real, the final straw was, wait for it, I selected an orange gel polish, however, when he started painting my toes, he put white polish on so I said, you put white polish on before orange polish, not clear to protect the nail, he apparently forgot that I was getting a color as he had to remove the previous gel polish which was white, I was right, he forgot. He did. Instead of just apologizing, he nastily started taking the white polish off speaking in his native language and rubbing the white polish off very aggressive at that, I asked who the owner was at this point, sorry not a Karen, but in speaking with the owner I figured they could translate, because at first I really thought it was a language barrier. It was not. He was intentionally being rude and as I sat listening to the salon I noticed that the staff were using their native language to be ignorant and rude. Period. I do not care if you speak your native tongue, except when you are serving customers in America and the customer is speaking to you in English, you need to speak in English, sorry not sorry. I wouldn't call it VIP Nails, I would call it Trash Nails. read more

I was here earlier with my mom because she wanted to get a pedicure done but little did we know things would take a turn. A man took care of her and everything seemed to be alright until he accidentally cut my mom where he thought she had a callus when she did but not in the place where he had cut her by accident. Then, my mom sat down at the station where you dry your nails and on the counter, it was dirty with items that were put in people's toes to separate them when a pedicurist is doing a person's nails and the owner not only was talking on the phone on and off while trying to do a manicure for another person which was rude and impolite but she also still made my mom pay $18 for herself to be accidentally injured and on the receipt where there is the line for you to leave a tip, my mom wrote a slash through that and the owner saw that and her eyes actually bugged out. At that point, there was absolutely no way that pedicurist was getting a tip for poor service. Additionally, my mom has also been to this establishment prior to this incident and has never experienced anything like this before. Listen I'm not hard to please but damn I've never had a male anyone who was a through and detailed and really good at their craft. There are females that work there too and they are excellent as well but i always get the guys and i don't know but I'm always amazed at the detail they put in. I always get either one of the 2 fellows that work here. They are ON THE JOB!! One time, one of the guys (I know I'm a regular so I should get names, right? I'll get them next time and update here) picked at my dead skin on my toes for 10minutes, like there was nothing there but he wasn't playing, he was aiming for perfection. I normally get gel manicure and regular pedicure and I've never been disappointed. Sometimes I have to wait a little, I don't care, I'll wait until Jesus comes for these guys LOL. They paint perfect and offer me back rubs complimentary? Like they know my back is jacked and I need it. I never say no and sometimes I get the most satisfying but strong (no joke) massages. I get manicures, pedicures and my eyebrows done all the time, however in recent times I noticed their service has deteriorated. Today I visited, and the employee totally misunderstood what I wanted, he started something else and I told him I did NOT have time as I need to go, and I was on my lunch break!! To make the story short, I left there with acrylic on my natural nails and nothing else. They advised it was $30 even after I showed the owner that nothing was done and there was a misunderstanding regarding what I needed to get done, so I paid (did not tip anyone, which I usually do) and left. The guy did my nails and not only were they not painted fully they were all different lengths and had air bubbles in them I will never go back. VIP nails next to Kmart used to be my favorite nail salon. But the last time I went, I considered calling the heath department. The place is actually appalling. It's dirty. It's messy. Employees are just sitting and texting, not looking up when a new potential customer walks in. I don't know what happened, if it has a new manager, or a new owner, if they're abusing their employees or they're just that underpaid or what, but clearly nobody that works there has any pride in the appearance of the place. There's stuff in the back of the salon just kind of thrown on shelves. The employees aren't rude, but they ain't friendly either. I used to love this place. However this last year, things have taken a turn for the worse. I've had two bad experiences here (I only returned after the first bad time because I was willing to give them another try). The first time was few months ago and the woman barely did anything- ten min pedicure with minimal work - was a new person so I assumed she was in her learning phase. Today though, was really strange. One of the regular men did my pedicure and used the callous scraper on the top of my foot (not just the bottom) the top- where the skin is super soft. He only does this to one foot and it was so bizarre, in 25 years of getting pedicures this is a first. Now hours later, too of my foot is scraped raw and burning. Then to the same foot he digs his thumb into only one part of the foot with enough pressure to make me think it was some sort of assault. The other foot was a quick, uneventful massage. Something is off about this place and I have to admit it, no more chances. There's tons of salons in the area worth my time and money and pedicures should be relaxing and something to look forward to, not something that ruins your day! read more

The sign on the door says they close at 7:30pm Monday through Friday, I entered at 6:20pm an hour before their closing time and was asked what I wanted to do, a gel color change and cut my nails, not even a filling or anything extravagant. I was simply told no we can't do it today, no sorry we can't accommodate or empathy. Very disappointed. I never rate services and especially don't like to express negativity, however this was a horrible experience. Waited 1hr 45 mins for a "UV" French manicure because "particular person only able to do" wasn't available. My fault for waiting :-(. Seemingly a miscommunication on what UV manicure entails. I was given an acrylic powder manicure with (purple & gold) gel nail polish. NOTHING LIKE REQUESTED. My natural nails were cut short (which they haven't been in YEARS), only to have tips added to 3 (...an additional charge). The NEXT day the nail bed/cuticle area was exposed with a raised lump of polished acrylic on every nail. The filing experience left the sides of my nails irritated and sore... causing me to use alcohol, etc. to prevent an infection. I didn't want to make a scene, looking back I should have. It didn't help that I gave a standard 20% tip.... probably led them to believe I was satisfied. NOT!!!!! BTW.... it would be wise NOT TO ASSUME customers don't understand anything you say in your native language. read more
