I have been going here since it opened originally under Rose and I've always enjoyed it but recently it has just gone down hill. My pedicures are sloppy and my acrylic fills have been terrible. You can see lines from past sets, the shape is terrible and they don't remove all the previous polish and then just acrylic over it so now I can see black specks in multiple nails. Not to mention this green tip is 3 days old and it's already faded and dingy looking. I have noticed recently that my nails are chipping and breaking within a week or so. This is my 3rd consecutive fill that has just been very amateur looking. Hate to say that I won't be going back. All that being said, they are very friendly and usually you can walk right in if you need a quick fix. read more

I have been going here for a while and here recently within the last year they have been not good. they can't do simple designs and are supper rough with my hands. also the owner was very rude to me and noticed her gossiping about her "regular" customers. i had to redo my nails at home and cover up what they did. will not be going back. plus they left acrylic all over my hand and when she put the nail polish on, she didn't wipe off the extra so it dried on weird and messed up my shape. read more

Definitely went here today to get my eyebrows done, told the lady just clean my eyebrows up and she didn't. Not only are my eyebrows unevenly shaped, I have a patch missing. Do not let the lady with RED/GINGER hair wax your brows. read more

I had asked for a gel manicure ($22), eyebrows waxed ($12), and a pedicure ($30). I wasn't given a manicure, she filed my nails to a point, and I told her that I wanted square nails, and she applied gel nail polish, as I asked. I didn't receive a pedicure, she did cut and file my toenails and regular polish, as I requested. When she was finished with me, I asked her for the total and she said that I owed $75. Even if she had given me what I asked her for, the cost should have only been $64. I will NEVER set foot in this salon, ever again. read more

UPDATE: 9/23Owner did reach out and let me know that if any thing happens with in the two weeks they will fix Upon arriving here, the environment was great, very clean, nice set up, not too big and comfy pedicure chairs. I had my gel pedicure and gel manicure. My toenails are still looking great after 3 days. My gel manicure not so much. I have never had gel chip after 3 days... I'm not so happy as I can't stand chipped nails. To be clear, my job or daily work with my hands that would cause my gel nails to chip like they have. I'm only giving the 2 stars because really it comes down to quality. I paid $78 for my services and now I'm going to have to turn around and pay half of that again that to someone else. Usually gel should last two weeks. I've even had gel polish last over a month before with no chipping. If you are going for a mani pedi I recommend as that was enjoyable and the manicurist was nice. read more

I'm so glad I came here to get my nails done. The owner Rose does an amazing job!! I'm not from Ridgecrest and it's hard to find someone to get your nails done the way you want them. I've looked every where in town and Rose and Andy are literally the only ones in town that I've found who does dip powder on natural nails amazingly PERFECT!!! This was a great nail salon. It's located in a shopping center sandwiched between dominos and the local donut shop. It's clean and the techs were friendly enough. The tech that did my whole service was thorough and had extreme attention to detail this was noticed during the manicure where she took care to snip away all leftover cuticles. I also got my eyebrows waxed and she listened to me and I didn't walk out of there looking crazy. Overall this place is great. I'll definitely return. read more

Horrible....I guess it's expected at a small town nail salon and I was burnt by the wax which left burn marks on my face....never going back

This is a new nail place in RC. The owners name is Rose and she seems very nice. Don't get discourage by the price. Yes, a regular pedicure is $30 when at other locations is $23. To me it was worth it though. She took her time with me. They do a regular pedicure but they applied callus remover (which they do not do at other places), the massage is longer as well and once you're done they apply a blue gel and they massage again (again, other places do not include this in the $23 pedicure). The owner seems to have a lot of experience. She did a good job. I did a gel pedicure and I'm happy with the job. When I go back I will definitely be asking for her again. I hope they keep up with the same service even when they have more clientele :) read more

Well i went in asking for a full set with nail art and a pedicure with my toes matching my nails. I ended up with 4 different people, but what is worse is when they dont listen. I said round, they are square, my nails are pink and my toes or orange melon color. When i pointed this out they said oh you want more pink... i want pink not orange. They came out of the same box and should have matched! I paid almost 100 dollars for this. First time in my life i didnt leave a tip for a mani pedi! Back to star nails to get this fixed today!! I used to get my acrylics done at vip back in high school and haven't been there in over 10 years. I got a set of coffin shape single color ancrylics and the shape is absolutely awful and completely crooked. She missed so many spots around my cuticles and even left part of the acrylic/gel on my skin. it was a walk in appt but she took twice as long as the other nail tech there and they still ended up looking awful. i most likely won't go back there. read more

The gentleman at VIP was AMAZING and the price was FANTASTIC ... although I live out of town and only work in Ridgecrest I will never have my Pedi's done anywhere else. I got the $45 dollar Pedi and it did not disappoint. I've spent $40 on just a basic pedi in my hometown and didn't get the VIP treatment I got here. The massage alone was worth $45 ... Okay, well I went in as a walk in. Things seemed cool at first. I heard of this place because she advertises on Facebook, well things went left real quick. I'm sitting in possibly the owners chairs, she starts my nails, or filing them down, cool whatever she gets up to do/ help with a pedicure, mind you this is all without gloves. I'm no expert just a germaphobe, so for her to start my nails then go do someone's feet, then try to come back and continue my service is gross in my eyes. ‍ place is crammed af. This spot deserves a much higher rating then it has currently. I went for the first time around Christmas. After trying to get into a very booked Star Nails which are appointment only, I walked in and get a beautiful gel set by an older woman. They looked flawless for three weeks! Today I go in and they have a new technician, GiGi who proceeds to do the nicest gel nails I've EVER had! This is my new spot, the owner is so personable, I always find myself laughing at her jokes and teasing. Very nice pedicure chairs and good 80's music playlists as well. People don't spend your hard earned money here. It is NOT WORTH IT. Unprofessional/disrespectful ppl. (Smh) This place is not full of professional people at all. The male manicurist charges me more than anyone else I have ever went to. I had to pay over 100$ just for a fill and a 30$pedi. Also, the lady that works next to the cash register. She had attitude the whole time, not only that but she filed my nails down way to much it hurt. It's not like it was just 1 finger, not 2. The youngest employee had picked up some nail polish for me.. It was not what I was looking for, so I told her what number I would like to have, and she just snarled at me and then spoke Chinese to the other women. So by the time she was finished all of my nails were on fire . It hurt. She barely had put acrylic on my nails and it had been 2 days , (ONLY) and my nails are already chipping and breaking off.
