Do NOT go here! The mani pedis they give are very basic and not worth the money. They are basically just a polish change. They do your heals for literally less than one minute each with a soft toll that does nothing and they rub your shins only for a few minutes each. It was so rough I had to ask him to go softer, and all he did is laugh. I've only been there twice and had two male technicians that were really rude to me! I literally had to ask him to not be so rude to me & tell him that this was supposed to be an enjoying, relaxing experience. He didn't change. It's not a clean place and I am now SICK after having an older male work on me very recently. He had a mask on but was obviously VERY SICK! He was coughing, sneezing, his eyes looked horrible and I could tell he was miserable. I could also tell he had a ton of snot under his mask from sneezing and didn't change his mask. I asked him if he was sick and told him I don't want to get sick. He told me he was not sick and that it was just allergies. I have been going to Vip Nails for about 3 months. After a difficult illness 5 years ago, my nails deteriorated - thin, splitting, and delaminating. I tried absolutely everything but nothing worked. I decided to try gel, professionally done, for the first time in my life. I ended up with a nail tech named Bravo. He was attentive and helpful when I explained to him my problem nails. I can say after 3 months my nails are long and stable, and they are growing normally after 5 years of struggle. VIP Nails is a VERY busy place! I have not had any dealings with anyone else, as I am so happy with Bravo and the amazing results he has helped me to achieve. And the price is extremely reasonable. I rarely give bad reviews, but this needs to be told. My most recent, and obviously last visit, to VIP proved to be disappointing to say the least. I had a Dip Mani and a salt scrub Pedi. The Pedi was fine but I'm pretty sure the tools were not clean. The Dip Mani was not good at all. Don's station was dirty, with a previous used paper towel as a surface cover. Oddly he kept disappearing to the back and in the end my nails were badly shaped and the color faded. I returned the next day and they acted like nothing was wrong and kept having me wait. Finally I was told to come back tomorrow or wait all day to have the issue addressed with no apology or acknowledgment of their failures. Hello.  My husband and I went in for pedicures today.  My husband's was fine but mine was not.  My heels didn't look any better than how I walked in.  They are very rough and still cracking.  No help with any solution when I brought that to his attention or several others attention.  He said you need a cheese grater.  I said that I just need what I walked in there for, a pedicure.  It was the whole point of getting one, making my feet better.  Horrible job.  We spent almost $90.00 on a basic pedicure, because that's all you had time for, but what a horrible job.  My husband left a $30.00 tip, which in my mind wasn't worth a $5.00 tip. This was quite possibly the worst Manny Peddy I've ever received. The pedicure, which I was charged some $30 for was basically a polish change. No basecoat on the nails, the technician did use some clippers to dig around in my great toe enough for me to bleed. No loofah. No lotion. Just polish change and topcoat. I could not communicate with my nail tech even though I expressed to her several times during the manicure that the nail drill that she was using was too big and making me bleed at the cuticle. For the rest of the time that I spent with her, she spent several minutes asking me if I was OK. I was not. I'm bleeding from several appendages the amount of aggression that she displayed was unacceptable. the pedicure was less than average. Overpriced and poor poor quality. five days later, I'm going to have my Tez and nails done by someone who knows what they're doing and not just in there to rotate customers through and make money with poor service. read more

The person who did my nails had black dirt under his fingernails, was very dismissive, and was more interested in the wealthy client that followed my appointment than my service. He kept looking away from me, rushed the job, got polush all over my skin and my nails looked horrible. PART 1: Let me start by giving you a visual of what my day looked like. I'm from Albuquerque, NM and my friend and I wanted to make a day trip somewhere and decided on Durango CO. We decided while we were there we wanted to get our nails done so I came on to my trustee yelp to find one of the better places to get our nails done and came across VIP Nails. I scheduled an appointment with this location because I saw all of the good reviews on this place and heard some good stuff about Quan and Tony in the reviews I read.. so of course I asked for them to be our techs. So I set 2 appointments one for me one for my friend we both wanted the dip powder or "SNS" if you want to be technical. My friend wanted a simple nude coffin and I went a little extra with 2 fingers on each hand painted with daisies and the rest nude in coffin shape as well. For my friend she didn't have any length on her nails so she needed tips. This was something I explained on the phone with the woman who schedule our appointment. While scheduling my appointment I asked her what prices we were looking at and the lady said since $55 for my friend (full set w dip powder) and "$45" for me (Re-dip or back fill). I put the "" marks for a specific reason that I'll go into later. So we arrive at about 3:45 and when we get inside it's PACKED. This place is too small for the business they get first off which to our appearance was a good thing... right? Well a woman sits us down and we wait over 18 minutes for ONE tech to come start on my friends nails not to mention we didn't even get who we requested. ( Remember these were people I read reviews about and requested) I ended up getting Quan like requested but it wasn't for an almost extra 20 minutes of waiting for him. So there's that. So now we get to get our nails done. I'll start with my friends experience.. Remember she asked for tips? Yeah well they didn't. Or well her tech didn't because she went straight into dipping my friends fingers and I had to tell her that she wanted a full set. Dropped in as a walk in and was taken right away for a fill and 4 broken nails. I also had my five year old boy in tow. They offered us a drink and treated my little one very well. My nails look amazing and I was pleased with the service. My nails wear shaped well I have coffin shapes nails. I'd come back. I come every summer from Santa Cruz CA. for a month and last year went to a different nail salon and they happened to be closed today. Let me also mention it's Fathers Day! My friend and I just got our nails done and we are both extremely disappointed. The nails she received are meant to be baby blue, however, they are highly see-through and are ombre, blue and purple. There is also glue on top of my hand and all over my fingers. Her hands look disgusting, we will not be coming back.
