One of two VIP Lounges in the Guadalajara airport. Located in Terminal 1. Spacious and updated but poorly cleaned and dreadful food options... Worse than cafeteria food. They seem severely understaffed :-/ At the time of visiting, the buffet consisted of a sad salad bar, two unlabeled soups, and assorted crudités. Small dessert station in the back with shortbread, popcorn, and a VERY high-traffic coffee bar. Some table service offering two ready-to-order pork dishes-- no other options, not even chicken or vegetable... Food aside, the lounge does have a nice amenities like spa, nail salon, kids room, and conference rooms. NOTE: So many KIDS. Screaming kids, at that. Lounge was clean and spacious. Staff was extremely attentive and our server even went out of his way to prepare "botanas" for us with "chile y limón." I've been to this lounge several times. It's massive, but the food options are terrible. If you're just looking for a place to relax before your flight other than the gate, I suppose this is fine but I wouldn't come here on an empty stomach. This east-side VIP lounge ( East side) is surprisingly spacious. It has several sections of sitting areas and, working benches, to suit different needs. They were being kept clean. It has a bar and a limited basic food selection. The servers are very nice and attentive. I got my quiet time relaxing while waiting for my flight. The East lounge was easy to find (I had the priority pass app) and got in quickly with my husband. The staff was nice and friendly and we found a spot to sit down. They had plenty of spots close to the entrance, different private seating areas, chairs along the side, or seating in the main dining area. They had a bar in the main area, spot to get coffee and water, light bites of chips or popcorn or cookies or even some fruits. The other options were soup and salad/vegetables. The server that came up to assist us offered two options of sandwiches for lunch, beef dish, and grabbed us some coffees. We opted against ordering alcohol (bar service was available). The service was quick and seamless and staff cleared out our finished dishes rather quickly. Our seating area came with a tv, comfy seats, and access to electrical outlets. It wasn't super loud or quiet, normal amount of noise. There also were private bathrooms, an option for a shower, and spa services--nail salon and masseuse (for an extra charge). The food was pretty good, although a bit limited when it came to the options. The area was clean and comfortable, and the staff attentive. I would definitely come back on a future visit. read more

The check in process was quick and easy, they just needed my ID, priority pass card , and boarding pass, once inside i found a spot in the back and soon after i had a gentleman ask me if i wanted something to drink or eat. Using the PP access, not a bad a lounge Guad! It's quite spacious which meant that there was no wait to check in or finding a place to sit! Unlike the other lounges, this VIP lounge had a more "serviced" nuance where someone comes to you to take your order for food and coffee based drinks. Breakfast was available at my time with options like mollettes, chilaquilles, croissant and scramble eggs w/ ham. There are a few items you can grab at the buffet like yogurt, fruit and snacks, but no silverware to be found. There's also a couple of mini fridges for soda, but no water. There are a couple of sectioned off couches too with TVs showing F1, so it was a nice area to relax as well as cushy chairs/recliners coffee table setting. read more

Recently entered this lounge prior to an evening flight using our Priority Passes. It is relatively spacious with various seating types, including cozy couches with accessible power outlets. We arrived at an awkward time where they only had salads out and snack foods, including potato chips and popcorn. Food options were limited and drinks are not self-serve. They also did not offer any non-dairy milk options for espresso drinks. That being said, it was very clean, WiFi was fast and staff was very attentive. I arranged for my mom and aunt to stay at the VIP Lounge in Guadalajara while they waited for their next flight, scheduled for 4 AM the following day, after their plane left 30 minutes before its scheduled time. My aunt is handicapped, making travel extremely difficult for her, and with hotels an hour away, the lounge seemed like the best option. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but VIP. They paid 1450 pesos (about $80 USD), only to be treated poorly from the start. The staff were unfriendly and told them they would have to leave by midnight, which was a lie. They were not informed about the areas for comfort or the food provided, and instead received dirty looks and were ignored by the staff. While other guests were offered drinks, my mom and aunt were completely neglected. I hesitate to say it was discrimination because they are US citizens, but it certainly felt that way. Travelers, especially paying customers, deserve better treatment. I'm extremely disappointed that a place considered VIP couldn't take care of my family during their layover. I encourage for my family and friends to sign up for Priority Pass so we can enjoy the VIP Lounge in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico. We were charged $35 for our guests. After I gave the hype that we were going to have a great time and that the VIP Lounge is where to be. My wife and I were so embarrassed when we went in. The VIP lounge is set up for a buffet style scene. However, we had to search and ask a server how everything works. They had one meal item for breakfast. They had no mimosas. They had no tequila for margaritas. Remember, we are in Jalisco, Mexico, home of Tequila! They offered warm Corona beers and boxed Orange Juice. They offered cookies and muffins to eat. I believe they think their Expresso machine is the hit of the lounge. We were all disappointed and felt ripped off as we paid for a service and we did not receive anything in return. Surprisingly good! I say this as I'm starting to get wary of the Priority Pass lounges not attached to a bank or an airline, but the VIP Lounge is big, spacious and very clean. There's a bartender who serves up drinks in a center island and there is a buffet with an assortment of food. Various sections provide different seating environments and you can book WeWork-size private spaces as well. Being Priority Pass holders, we got access to this lounge as we waited for a flight to Washington, D.C. via Dallas. My five-year-old daughter was able to join for free being under the age of seven. Here's our experience: 1) Space: It's one of the larger lounges I've been to with several large rooms with all types of seating from couches to tables to chairs. There's a little game room, restrooms and side rooms. 2) Amenities: There's free Wi-Fi throughout the airport and outlets everywhere in the lounge. 3) Food: There's pastries, all types of juice, lots of sodas in mini fridges, oatmeal, yogurt, granola, fruit, cereal, and hot breakfast upon request (eggs with ham). 4) Drinks: They have coffee, hot chocolates, soda and juice. On our way back from Guadalajara, the girlfriend and I ended up missing our flight. So Volaris set us up for an evening flight, which meant that we were going to be sitting at the airport for several hours. I was going to caffeine up and study (yes, I am doing med school online while travelling, one of the silver linings of the pandemic). However, I wanted to do so in more comfort, so we proceeded to the VIP Lounge. We knew we were outside of there when there was a lady talking to people about applying to the AMEX Platinum card. She said with an approved application, we can access the lounge for free. I already was packing my card with me, so we proceeded inside. Inside, the ladies at the reception desk were friendly and attentive. They showed us in to this spacious lounge. There was plenty of seating everywhere. There were smaller work stations lining the hallway that connects the reception desk to the rest of the lounge. There were also conference rooms interspaced along this hallway. The main lounge area was huge, with waiters servicing the many tables there. I opted for a latte, and ordered some burgers (which reminded me of White Castle burgers back home). We ended up hanging out in another adjacent room, with plush couches. In that whole time, the waiter checked up on us consistently. They kept rolling out the coffee and bottled water for me. The girlfriend slept the whole time, which is understandable as we went partying at La Santa the night before and didn't sleep between the club and the airport. Once it was time to head to the terminal, we left the comfort of the lounge and proceeded on our journey. I must say, this lounge provided all the comforts we needed that day. Despite an 10-hour delay in our trip, we arrived back home in good spirits. And we thank this lounge for turning our day around. read more

I've used this VIP Lounge twice before. Both visits were pleasant, except this last time there were tons of mosquitos. (Hence the 4 Stars). Not sure how that happens, but maybe it was Mosquito season? The lounge overall is a great place to unwind or quietly wait for your flight, eat, drink & snack -- all inclusive. They have an extensive coffee menu too. Alcoholic beverages are also served behind the bar at request. The food is good & seemed fresh to me, I'm sure that varies by the time you go. They offer snacks, small bites, tiny sandwiches, soups, crackers, fruits. No complaints there. Bathrooms are also clean however, my boyfriend mentioned the urinals were higher than average. LoL. Not sure that matters to women but he thought they were hilariously placed. The lounge itself is roomy, spacious with separated sectors for couches, laying chairs, office chairs, tv area, etc. The staff also cleans up after you so everything is always tidy. As far as charging areas-- they area bit hard to get to so that could use some improvement. We have the Priority Pass, but if you don't...Is this lounge worth $28 a person? YES. read more

This is a simple, clean, spacious, and well serviced place to catch a breather, down a few drinks, and escape a crowd when in the Guadalajara airport. - The food is limited, but gets the job done - Full bar options available - Very clean and private bathrooms - Private and spacious meeting/resting rooms - Showers available - TVs with sports just about everywhere - Kids room... DON'T CARE. At the end of the day it's an airport lounge... a simple one. Upon entering the Lounge, I was met with indifferent attitudes from the service clerks who were engrossed in their conversation and ignored my presence. They did not offer any greeting or acknowledgement of my presence. When I requested a day pass, I was told the price, and informed that the Lounge was full and to come back later. I returned 45 minutes later and informed the second service clerk that I wanted to purchase a day pass. However, she was extremely condescending and displayed a rude attitude towards me. Despite my agreement with the price, she still asked me to step aside so she could assist a family that was behind me. This was unacceptable to me as I was first in line. When I declined, it was evident from her expression that she was displeased. As a result of this poor treatment, I chose not to spend any money in the facility and politely excused myself. read more

I have to say I was a bit skeptical about coming into the lounge, but it definitely exceeded my expectations. I got stuck at the airport over night because I missed my 10pm flight, and there were no more flights until next day at 6am, and this place turned my night around. I was in Guadalajara for only a few hours, so I was running on almost no sleep/food. As soon as I went in, a server approached me and asked me if there was anything I needed. He then offered my their very delicious food menu. Normally airport food is mediocre, but this food was delicious! They have ample seating areas and a wide variety of meals/drinks. Their couches are also super comfortable and clean. Staff is super attentive at all times. I would definitely recommend this lounge for anyone who has a lot of time to kill at the airport. read more

Very comfortable and reasonable. Great customer service. We had a 7 hr layover at GDL and spent 6 at the VIP lounge. Comfortable leather couches with charging stations and tvs everywhere. A small buffet that was stocked frequently with lasagna, salad, sandwiches, cheese and crackers, cookies. Open bar. Served espresso, too. All inclusive. We were able to stretch out, eat, nap, charge our phones, freshen up and get to our plane on time. Our cost was about 28 US and so worth it! read more

***BEWARE*** I came with a group of friends to the VIP lounge in Guadalajara during a layover. Everyone had a Priority Pass except for 2 people. I checked in with the front desk and asked how many guests we could bring in on a priority pass and was told 2. I said I would wait a few minutes for my friends to arrive and once they started trickling in, I said I would go in first and grab a spot to sit. After confirming that I was bringing in 1 guest in with me, I signed their digital keypad (like a credit card reader) and went inside. A few days later, I was surprised to see a $96 charge on my card. After calling Priority Pass, I was told that the lounge had charged me for 5 guests. While on the phone with customer support, I was told that my friend swiped in after me, but wasn't charged for the guest that he was supposed to have brought in, and no other cards were swiped. Priority Pass stated that I had signed for 5 additional guests and that I was responsible to know what I was signing for, however the lounge did not have any kind of screen, print out, or receipt. I guess pointing to one person and walking in, and then having another person step up in line is not obvious that I'm only bringing in 1 guest. So be warned that you should verbally check that they are charging you for the correct number of people and ask them to print you out a receipt or something. This is a really big oversight on their end and reeks of laziness from the receptionist. The lounge was comfortable enough, however outlets were not in the best spots, the interior is rather small, and the drinks are behind the bar. Most of the food was old and had sat out for a while and dried out when we were there. The food/snack selection was rather small as well. The seats were comfy enough and they had 3 sleeper chairs in the main seating area. read more

There are two VIP lounges in the GDL airport. They both accept Priority Pass and one can pay for entry with any valid airline ticket. I was surprised to find tortas ahogadas and filet of fish with olive sauce as the warm dishes. There is also salad, veggies, cheese and sandwiches available. There is an automatic espresso-cappuccino machine which is very good. Of course, there is beer, wine and liquor in the lounge. Overall, this is better than most lounges I have been to. read more
