He was so informative, patient, honest, and truly cared about making sure we understood every step of the process. You can tell he genuinely takes pride in what he does. It's been the same dirt lot since the house was built over a decade ago. We finally decided to get it done so our new dog could have a nice place to play, especially during the summers, where we can control the heat levels. JJ and associate came out quickly and made me feel really comfortable. There was no weird upselling (I wanted something really plain) and no fear mongering. I could tell immediately that we were going to go with Rock N Block so I cancelled my other appointment with a different company and put my deposit down right away. Within hours, JJ had the plans to me and I got the HOA paperwork started. Once that was done, I was scheduled immediately to have my yard worked on. The day of, the workers came, did a final measurement and got to work. It took 3 days but it came out exactly like I was promised and had envisioned myself. The workers were extremely friendly and self contained. They were responsible and trustworthy. They were also very concerned with my happiness. They asked me if things were looking good quite a few times. They literally made my yard perfect. I'm still looking for imperfections and cannot find them. If there were any complaints, the communication could be more but to be honest, they give information and don't feel the need to consistently remind you, which is also good. We did have a small hiccup where the workers didn't know they had to install a few other things but JJ made it right immediately and I can only be happy about that. I'd rather have the problem be solved immediately then get a phone call being told it would be done, although I can see how some people would want both. Pricing was fair in my opinion. I was told it should have been less expensive but I don't think so. The job is immaculate and the items are gorgeous with great quality. The craftsmanship means a lot to me and I would pay for it again. I wish I took some before pictures but I completely forgot to. Imagine a literal nothing of a yard. Now, it's gorgeous and I can't wait to accessorize!

He screwed all four boards together, used multiple stakes on each side (instead of just two originally), and even set the corners into concrete so they wouldn't come up again. We explained that we wanted a low-maintenance outdoor space that felt clean, modern, and sophisticated. About a week later, Evan sent us a design image created by their in-house designer. Evan was also the one who recommended the white decorative rock, which makes the patio feel brighter and more spacious, as well as the gray multicolored pavers for the area where we planned to install our pergola. We happened to have very similar tastes, but more than anything, we were truly impressed by his excellent sense of design. His recommendations helped bring our vision to life. The project was originally scheduled to take three days, but the entire job was completed in just a day and a half! The entire crew was incredibly professional. They worked with incredible speed and efficiency, and the finished work was absolutely perfect. We were especially impressed by Nicco, the manager, and the entire crew. Watching them work so hard in the intense heat, with such dedication and professionalism, truly made us appreciate their efforts. We also received estimates from three other companies. The other companies told us that a design image would cost $500, but this company provided ours free of charge. We were also told by other companies that we would need additional drainage pipes. After carefully examining our patio area, Evan confidently told us that they were not necessary, which helped us avoid an unnecessary expense. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional, and trustworthy. They sincerely listened to our wishes and questions and gave us honest, professional advice. Because of that, we felt completely comfortable leaving the project in their hands. Now, one of our favorite things to do is simply look at our patio throughout the day. It's disappointing because I really wanted to love this company, but the entire experience has been filled with frustrations, constant follow-ups, and having to ask why things weren't getting done. On the first day of the project, the crew arrived and began measuring the area. They knocked on my door because they wanted to confirm some measurements. When I went outside, they explained that the measurements Martin had provided seemed off and that the border where the plants were supposed to go was much wider than expected. I agreed and told them that wasn't what Martin and I had discussed. I immediately called Martin and explained that the measurements were incorrect and did not match the design photo I had been shown. He told me he had used Google Maps for measurements and that sometimes it's not accurate. I was shocked because I specifically thought he had physically measured the area himself. He then informed me that additional materials would be needed, resulting in an extra cost of approximately $1,900 for more pavers and artificial grass. I explained that this was not my mistake and that it was his responsibility to ensure the measurements were accurate. I had asked multiple times if the quoted amount was final because one of my biggest concerns was avoiding a seam in the artificial grass. While he ultimately corrected the issue without charging me the additional amount, I still ended up with a visible seam running through the grass. Which I'm not happy about still. We also added a raised seating area with lighting. After installation, the area had a significant slope that was very noticeable. When I brought it to their attention, they explained that some slope was necessary for water runoff. However, this wasn't a slight slope it looked more like a sunken area on one side of the square. They eventually came back and corrected it. The pavers have also been an ongoing issue. They were uneven and not properly leveled. The company has returned twice to address the problem. While there has been some improvement, it still isn't what I would consider acceptable, and the unevenness remains noticeable. The plants they installed also began drying out. They had to return twice to address that issue as well, but only after delays and on their own schedule. Currently, I still have cracked pavers, chipped pieces, and stained pavers that need to be replaced. I am still waiting for a response regarding these issues. Once again, everything seems to be handled at their convenience rather than with urgency or concern for customer satisfaction. My overall impression is that once the company secures the job, customer service significantly declines. The quality issues, lack of communication, repeated repairs, and delays have made what should have been an exciting project into a frustrating experience. As a customer who invested a significant amount of money, I expected better workmanship, accountability, and follow-through.

Experiencing a major electrical failure on Memorial Day was an absolute Nevada homeowner nightmare…read more Our main power box failed unexpectedly, and like most people would expect on a holiday, I couldn't get a single electrician to answer the phone. Understandable, but still incredibly stressful when you're suddenly without power. Ampere Electric was the exception. Not only did they answer the phone, they had someone at my house within an hour. Unfortunately, by the time they arrived it was late in the evening and there wasn't much that could safely be done until NV Energy could disconnect service the next morning. What impressed me was that they didn't make promises they couldn't keep. Instead, they told me exactly what would happen: they would coordinate with NV Energy first thing in the morning, get the power disconnected, and begin work immediately. That's exactly what happened. Patricio and Carlos arrived early and worked hard all day. They replaced the equipment, completed the installation, and had everything finished by around 3 PM. At that point, the only thing left was waiting for NV Energy to return so final restoration could take place. Unfortunately, NV Energy was completely inundated and running far behind schedule. This is where Ampere really separated themselves from every other contractor I've worked with. Patricio and Carlos could have easily packed up, told us we'd have to wait until the next day, and moved on to their next job. Instead, they stayed. They waited outside my house for hours. They repeatedly apologized for the inconvenience even though the delay wasn't their fault in any way. They had done their job and done it well, yet they refused to leave until the entire situation was resolved. NV Energy didn't arrive until nearly 8 PM. Patricio and Carlos were still there. The moment NV Energy completed their portion, they immediately restored everything, verified that power was working properly, and stayed until we were fully situated and every aspect of the job was complete. That level of customer service is rare. They didn't leave us stranded. They didn't pass the problem to someone else. They didn't do the minimum. They saw the job all the way through from start to finish, even when it meant spending their entire day and evening making sure their customers were taken care of. I am incredibly impressed with Ampere Electric, and especially with Patricio and Carlos. If you want a company that does what they say they're going to do, communicates honestly, and treats your problem like it's their problem, this is the team to call. Five stars, without hesitation. I can't thank Patricio and Carlos enough. Seriously.

We had a wonderful experience with VIP landscaping. From the initial landscape design, to the final implementation of the design, we couldn't be happier with the results. Wes is an expert in working with the HOA at Red Rock Country Club - we had absolutely no problems with the HOA. This was a huge project - we took everything down to ground zero. The design included tree removal, flatwork, concrete texturing, iron work, landscape lighting, outdoor sound system, brickwork, and involved multiple sub-contractors. I recently had pavers installed to replace my back porch and patio, which had previously been concrete. The demolition crew came in on the first day, and had completed the teardown by the time I returned home from work. The next day, they came in and installed the pavers. The job was completely done by early afternoon. It looks so much better than the original patio. They completely leveled the backyard and re-laid our pavers to our specific layout with extra attention to details on all edging. They're team worked on our yard for 3 consecutive days and were very polite and incredibly efficient. We couldn't be happier with our new backyard!

They did an amazing amount of work in one day and left our yard looking better than when they showed up. Patrick and his team even found a match to the existing stacked faux stone wall and patched the area where the wall was removed. Our yard looks so much more open now thanks to S&J. I highly recommend them and will be using them in the future!

I met with 6 different concrete companies before I decided to go with Statewide. Statewide was one…read moreof the better prices, but not the lowest. I felt I paid a great price for the work they did. I decided to go with them because they seemed to have thorough knowledge of how to do concrete properly. The scope of my job was to remove existing patio slab, lay new slab in place of, extend my deck on both sides and Kool deck entire deck. Some contractors didn't want to use rebar because it's not required by code. But Statewide put the bid together without me having to ask for them to use rebar. Ulises is one of the owners. He is the one that originally met with me to go over work, he provided the bid and he was part of his crew doing the actual work. Look at my pictures to see the process. They removed the cracked slab, compacted the subsurface, put in a 2" Type 2 substrate, hydrated the substrate, put in #4 rebar, poured new slab, and after a month of curing they did a kool deck to the entire area. I had existing concrete that they did not remove. When it came time to Kool Deck the concrete, they power washed the entire concrete and applied the Kool deck, and painted the entire deck, including the existing Kool deck. The pictures I have really don't do it justice. They did an excellent job. These brothers really understand the proper way of doing concrete. If you are getting bids, meet with them. Make sure whomever you go with puts rebar in your slab, regardless of the size of the slab. They're crew did a good job of cleaning up after themselves. I didn't notice anyone smoking or drinking alcohol on the job. A very professional operation.
