I was a patient of Dr Fiscella for years back in the mid 2010s; posting this review now as I think…read moreabout the lasting damage she did to my relationship with and trust for doctors. On two occasions I brought up common sexual health concerns and I was made to feel like some kind of deviant for even asking - once about HIV prevention medication and once for bringing her into the loop that I had been seeking treatment from a private provider for hormonal issues. Immediately the response was accusatory and shaming. Luckily, I later found a primary care physician who would rationally talk me through both of these issues and help me address them safely. I cannot recommend strongly enough to avoid this provider.

Once I found the reviews on yelp and WebMD for dr Fiscella, I was happy to find her, and very saddened to hear that she accepts new patient, but she is booked for months, on end and only her nursing assistants can see us. I saw tom and he was god, but I am going to the office to see a DR not an R/LNP. I will eventually look for another doctor because I feel Tom is capable, he is not a DR, and that's what we are paying for. If anyone has any good reco of a GOOD family general dr in east bay, please let me know. Office staff is also very good, and they reply to voicemails very diligently, but hold times on phone is usually 5+ minutes. (and they use patient fusion for records and reminders, but don't take emails, fax only. GRRR)

I never got to see Dr. Michelle Malcolmson. When my primary care M.D. dropped her practice…read moreunexpectedly in June 2025, she recommended Dr. Malcolmson at Stanford Medical in Emeryville. Dr. M's earliest appointment for me as a new patient was four months in advance, in early December, so I took it and waited. However, on the very morning when my appointment day finally arrived, her office called to say that she was ill and that I had to re-schedule my appointment--this time for a date a few weeks later. Some days before the date arrived, however, I was once again called by her office, this time to be told that the doctor had left the practice, and they had no idea where she had gone to. Since Michelle Malcolmson knew full well in advance that she was leaving Stanford Medical, she should never have allowed me to dangle for months under the mistaken impression that I was going to see her. By so doing, she caused me to waste much valuable time before I could see another other physician as a new patient. I call that irresponsible and heartless.

However, the level of diagnosis, treatment planning, and modern approach is genuinely worth the investment. Health is an integral part of life, and I have regrets about not having had specific information years ago--things I would have handled differently. That comprehensive, forward-looking guidance is exactly what CCFM provides. My health provider here, Tracey, is knowledgeable, smart, and everything she does exceeds my expectation. Additionally, Anita Hackman, the Client Liaison, is an essential part of the process. She is the one you communicate with regarding issues like pharmacy delays or appointment changes, and I find her to be excellent--she perfectly balances professionalism with understanding. Please do your body a favor and give CCFM a try. You will genuinely appreciate the results.

CCFM actually took the time to dig in and look at the full picture. We looked at my diet, stress, sleep, and everything else going on in my life. I have been a patient under Dr. Newcomer for the last 3.5 years and I can confidently say she is…read moremagnificent. I truly mean this because I have a LOT of health issues so I see a lot of therapists and specialists, but she continues to be my North Star for treatment. Also, it's a good sign when several of SF's top specialists know her name (Dr. Grogan - Podiatrist, Dr. Kitt - Neurologist, Dr. Kangelaris - ENT). Dr. Newcomer is knowledgeable of so many conditions and keeps herself up-to-date on the most recent research and treatment methods. She is willing to dive into every aspect of my health and work with other practitioners outside of the one-medical network to make sure I am getting the best care possible. Beyond her capabilities as a Doctor, she's a really cool person. She's usually rockin bubble-gum pink hair and she's into cool music. She can be a fast talker and she'll definitely keep you in check if you just aren't prioritizing your health, but she's super supportive of you living your best life. Unlike other practitioners I've had in the past, she never slut shames, fat shames, or makes you feel wrong for having mental illness. Seriously, she's the best. Even outside of the a face-to-face appointment environment, she is unbelievably thorough. She always responds to my messages faster than I expect and follows up with me when I need lab work, shots, or anything else. Dr. Newcomer is a DO through and through. She has stood by the "whole person" philosophy through my entire tenure as her patient. I'm genuinely so grateful to have her as my number one health advocate and I don't know how I would have made it through these challenging years without her.

Rating: | Clarus Health SF - SGB Procedure, July 2025…read more I had the absolute pleasure of being treated by Dr. Kaveh at Clarus Health SF for a bi-lateral SGB (Stellate Ganglion Block) in July. From the moment I connected with their team, I felt respected, heard, and truly cared for. As someone who's dealt with debilitating daily migraines for years and panic disorder, I've tried almost everything -- but nothing helped long-term. Dr. Kaveh went above and beyond, spending over an hour with me during our consult and treating me with empathy I've rarely encountered in healthcare. His nurse Kelly and the entire staff were equally amazing. Both procedures (Tuesday and Friday) were done with precision and compassion. The details blew me away -- they called me "Max" on the room board (not "Maxwell"), gave me soft blankets, and welcomed my wife and kids warmly. Best IV placement I've ever had, and I walked out within 45 minutes feeling better than I had in years. He even followed up after each visit personally and helped identify lab issues unrelated to the SGB that I'm now addressing. That level of care is rare. Huge shoutout to Karma and JuJu, the sweetest dogs, who added even more comfort and love to the experience. If you're struggling and looking for answers, Clarus Health is the place to go. You won't regret it.
