VIP billiards has eleven tables in a spacious room. All tables are nine-foot size, clean, accessible and in good shape. Generous spaces between tables, so that guests are comfortable. Ambient music is pleasant and quiet, so people can enjoy conversations without being too loud. Plenty of parking spaces around the plaza, including several spaces allocated for the disabled people. Affordable pool with decent tables and a good location! They have 3 or 4 nice Diamond tables and 6 or 7 midsy tables. It's all american pool, but 3 or 4 different brand and size tables. The place feels a bit run down, but it's not so bad that it ruins the vibe. Sometimes there's a young kid in there running, screaming and playing like it's his personal parkour playground... I go to somewhere else when he's there because it's too chaotic. They have sodas and some snacks. I like that kids are allowed, but playground chaos kills my concentration. read more

We had so much fun playing pool today here on a Saturday evening after having dinner. It wasn't too far away but i happened to turn too early and had to do a U-turn back to enter from the northeast corner of the parking lot and plaza where VIP Billiards was located. We got lucky and got the #3 Hollywood table (apparently there are two types to choose from) and played for about 2 hours straight switching between 3 players. We didn't get any snacks or drinks that they had there, but rent a pool table to play with. Though they were limited in pool sticks on the wall by our table, we were able to score some hanging by the other side. We rolled them on the table to make sure they were balanced and smooth which they were. Overall the table was good/standard. The other table was supposed to be more $ per hour due to the higher quality of the table and cloth, etc. I'm so glad that smoking is not allowed anymore unlike how it used to be before. Though it was packed, as all the tables were taken up with people waiting for a pool table to open up, there were however enough open seats (with some stains on the cushions) to sit on. Though I opted to sit on the red barstool as it didn't have any visible stains or the bench with the thin cushions or stand against the wall. Our table was by the front door entrance to come in and outside and sometimes could be distracting due to the high traffic of people walking in and out by our table. One pool table right in front of the middle aisle was packed with 7-8 people standing or sitting by the table. Overall, I wouldn't mind coming back again! read more

Place is very clean and the staff are very nice. The tables and cues are in great condition. It was $16/hr and they offer student and military discounts which is a plus! My group was using the middle table but when a table near the chairs opened up, the staff quickly let us know and offered if we wanted to switch so we can have the option to sit. Great hospitality! The photos are a bit out of date, there are no 3 cushion tables here. There are 4 - 9ft diamond tables. No food service, and only a refrigerator with soft drinks. One down side is they polish their balls with car wax I think, so the balls play a bit weird (they should just use a standard cleaner, like Aramith), and the tables get the wax on them from residue polish of the balls. They currently have tournaments here sunday (2pm) and monday (7pm?). I think the rates are a bit high... $16@2 person on the diamond tables, $14@2 persons on the other tables, day or night. read more

Fun for people of all ages with no alcohol involved! Our under 21 friends can come here and play for a decent prorated price, $12 an hour with everything included. They even sell snack and drinks. The people that work here are cool, you can honestly tell they appreciate the game. Such a nice local spot to play pool! There's at least 10 tables available to play at. Broken down into 2 sides the Regular and Diamond tables. Regulars ($12/hr) are for beginner & intermediate, while Diamonds ($14/hr) are for advanced players. The Regular tables have larger pockets while Diamonds have smaller pockets and narrow openings to make the game more challenging. My friends and I came in around 9:30 on a Friday night, and some tables were already full with friends hanging out and single players sprucing up their shots. There are soft beverages and water, midnight snacks-- ramen, cookies, chips etc for sale. They don't allow smoking nor do they sell alcoholic beverages which I appreciated because it made the environment very casual and welcoming. Went inside. Was about to pay for table. Then I got sucker punched in the face. (There are cameras that point at the register. The assault was definitely on camera.) Owner did not do anything. He kicked me and my group out. Then the person who sucker punched me came outside and started more problems. Then I got jumped by 10 people. (Keep in mind, I did not start any problem) The owner was outside the entire time watching the jumping happening. Do not go here. Not friendly. Horrible service. And I also had a knife pulled out on me right infront of the establishment. Btw that dude pulled the knife out on me also pulled it out on my girlfriend while I was getting jumped. My girlfriend told the owner to call the police and he said "no". We were paying customers who ended up getting assaulted and kicked out. Great place to play pool. Four 9' Diamond tables, one with 4" pockets. Seven 9' gold crown or similar, two of them have 4" pockets. Excellant equipment and well maintained. Balls are relatively new and polished every day. Not a sports bar, only one TV and VIP does not serve food or alcohol. They do offer cans of soda for $1 and a few other inexpensive cold drinks. Very cool hangout for people who just want to have fun AND for serious players.. the owner and staff are friendly and there are a lot of regulars there that love the game and are happy to play. The balls and tables are clean and the equipment is well maintained. If you want to watch the game or something else you can request it (if it's not already playing) and there are two large tvs. There is adequate spacing between the tables and plenty of seating. You can buy drinks and chips at the front and there's instant ramen available with an egg if you want. If you want to buy your own cue or a case or glove.. the owner can accommodate you. Parking can be tricky during dining hours but there are some reserved spots in front and some spots toward the back of the building. Great place read more

A friend and I were looking for places to shoot pool around the area after work and found VIP Billiards and Era Billiards. We decided upon VIP Billiards because of the prices. The place was quiet for a week night but didn't mind because we didn't have to worry about getting in the way of other peoples' cues. Loved the bright lighting and free drinks. There's no stigma here in regards to a billiards place. I like it because then I can play a few games, relax, and not worry about someone bothering us or etc. They are new owners and remodeled the inside. I think the previous place had a lot of smokers inside so they had mentioned that they had to clean that and etc. They have regular billiard tables, Korean billiard tables (which I don't know how to play), and a mini billiard table. There's a fridge near the cashier with unlimited soda, water, juice, tea, and etc. Who can go wrong with that! The place is pretty clean and quiet. Soft music playing in the background and the owners are really nice. They would ask how we were doing. If you're looking for a place to shoot pool without having to go to a bar or it being in a ghetto place, I totally recommend this place! Already planning on going back! read more

Korean Pool. This place is really pretty nice. The tablets felts are good, the walls are good. THe owner has a ball polisher so everytime you play its like a brand new set of balls. I'm writing this review not from my experience at the place, but the experience I received from the store employee there. I parked my car in front of this billiards place, so I can eat dinner a few doors over. When I walked back, someone spat on my driver side window. I'm thinking, " What the -?". I walk into this place, and instantly I see this middle aged man with glasses sleeping...seriously? It's still daylight, you have a couple in here playing and you decide to sleep? After waking him up, I ask politely, "Do you have paper towels? Someone spat on my window". He's just silent for a moment and says 'toilet'. While I'm getting some toilet paper, I just hear him saying, "If you're not going to come here, then don't park here. There are other parking spaces available" blah blah blah. Seriously dude? First off, it's PUBLIC parking, with no signs saying it's reserved for this business or any other. Secondly, it's bad for business, because not only are you incapable of working, but you're promoting bad impressions on potential customers. No wonder this place is empty. Hands down my favorite pool room in the local area.. In a nutshell: level tables, felt rolls fair, straight cues, clean balls, free drinks while playing, well maintained, well lit $8 happy hour 6 days a week, $10 any other time. If you come in 2+ times a week and the owner knows you, he will give you a couple bucks off almost every single time, make it a point to say hi whenever you go. They also have a "frequent player card" that gives you 1 free hour of table time for every 10 hours played. They don't advertise it, so again.. ask for it. Minor downsides, a lot of smokers.. if they don't close the door you'll smell it inside. Also, if you're not Asian.. you might not feel particularly welcome, but as long as you mind your own table you'll be perfectly safe ; ) read more

OMG!!! This is a pretty decent place to hangout, have a good time, and play some pool. It's $10 per hour for a table to play. Also there's free soda, green tea, and water by the fridge in the corner. The balls, tables and cue sticks are all in decent condition. I like to come here and play pool rather than like.. round 1 because their tables/balls/sticks are horrendous. You see the owner polishing and maintaing the equipment here. Also there are free drinks in the fridge: tea, soda, water, etc. It's $10/hr here. Half the area is filled with pool tables the other half is another game. I don't know what's it's called actually, looks like pool tables without the pockets. A lot of the players that come here do look like what they're doing. But I'm a noobie and I still like to come here and have fun with my friends. Pretty chill place, pretty quiet though. The owner remembers you after you've gone a few times. He's really chill so sometimes he'll knock off a few bucks from your bill (which is decently cheap anyhow) read more

I came here once with my friends when I was first learning how to play pool, and after talking to Matthew, I've been hooked. VIP is the best pool hall I've been to, bar-none. The tables are immaculate and the balls are cleaned daily. Matthew has 6 or 7 pocket billiard tables, 5 being Hollywood, 1 being a Bruinswick, and 1 being a Diamond. The Hollywood tables play a little bit more generous for beginners because of the larger pocket sizes. The Bruinswick and Diamond tables were both recently redone with Simonis 860 and have everyone's favorite 4 1/4 inch french-cut pockets. Balls roll well on all tables and cushion speed is VERY fast (coming from someone who usually plays on bar tables around school). There are about 6 or 7 cushion billiards tables as well, but I can't comment on those since I mainly play 8-ball, 10-ball, and 14.1. There are bathrooms in this place as well as drinks and AC. The place is very well kept and filled with good people. No shadyness around here (not like there really ever is in Diamond Bar). This is somewhere I'll come by at 8 o'clock after dinner with my friends and stay until about 2 just working on my stroke and mapping skills. Matthew and his wife are great owners and are extremely kind to their customers. If you want to get better, feel free to ask Matthew for tips. Matthew always helps me out with my technique and strategy even now when I've gotten significantly better. He's always willing to play with his customers and show them how to get better. There are several players that come on a consistent basis - everyone is nice and will shoot some balls with you if you ask. Pro-tip: Monday-Thursday, he does an All-day deal for $10 with re-entry. If you aren't feeling like getting an All-day pass, Matthew has stamp cards for his customers as well. I believe its 1 stamp per hour and 10 stamps gets you 1 free hour. I'm not 100% sure on that though, however, because I never stop by for less than 4 hours, so I always get the all-day pass. read more
