They seem very happy in their jobs and are happy to have a chat with you whilst serving you as well as whilst they continue working stocking up the bar or the afternoon tea items. We've ended up staying longer than we intended to on both visits purely because we felt welcome and I guess this is a good recipe for repeat business as we definitely will be returning when next visiting The Village at Westfields. On both visits we had several drinks and snacks and were very happy to leave an additional tip on top of the included service charge. I contacted Reshmi asking for a new cake, he/she refused, insisted it was the hotel's mistake and not their driver's, and that they'll send a driver to pick up the cake. I asked them not to send anyone, to just issue a refund and that the hotel will try to salvage the cake, given that the event was that same evening and I didn't have enough time to search for other options. Reshmi refused and said they'll not provide a refund unless the cake was collected and "in the same condition as in the photo". Their customer care is just non existent, it was like dealing with an angry child who just wanted to make sure you don't have any viable options for your event. Thankfully 'Cakestreet' rose to the occasion and we ended up with a tasty cake that had a much better theme design. My advice to Anges is to ensure you prioritise your customers over your ego. Zero customer care.

I have to say I was a bit sceptical of the huge macaroon/macaron trend in general, but these little bites were AMAZING! Originally we were just planning on trying some of the samples but we couldn't help but buy a bunch to share amongst us. My favourite were the buttery, berry ones, but the grape/elderflower and the salted choc were stunning as well. I've already signed up to their mailing list and can't wait to order more goodies for my bd!
