This past weekend, I was at Tugra twice. Granted, I was in the area for different reasons, but after stumbling upon it the first day, I still went back the second. If I could, I would be there right now...
I got one of the spinach and cheese gozleme (I think?) - basically a type of crepe/pancake with filling. Hot off the plate, the cheese oozes and the dough is soft and chewy. Of course, I also had to get the baklava - I tried their super baklava. The layers were perfectly flaky and sweet.
It does seem to be a family-run establishment, with a lovely older woman making the gozleme and various sons/daughters manning the cashier or bringing food out. The customers were clearly regulars and chatted in (I assume) Turkish. Made me feel like I was in an authentic Turkish bakery :)
TL;DR: Go here and thank me later. read more
