I recently worked with Lindsey to create a design and deliver florals for an outdoor barn wedding, which ended up being the hottest day of the year. They were on site on time for set up, she brought all her own gear - step stool, scissors, wire, tape, zip ties, etc to decorate the arch. All the floral pieces were stunning. She brought our aisleway arrangements, out centerpieces for each table, all the wedding party floral needs, and the bridal bouquet. She knocked it out of the park. Everything looked stunning, including the huge center piece arch florals. Lindsey has always been someone I can rely on in the wedding industry. She is CONSISTENTLY good. My husband and I had a couples glam photoshoot done with Rex and Pete at their studio in Huntington…read moreBeach and I loved how the photos turned out. We hadn't done a professional photoshoot before and were hella awkward, but Rex and Pete had us laughing and feeling more comfortable in no time. Since it was a glam photoshoot and in black and white, the pictures made us seem more youthful. It softened wrinkles and I didn't notice the raging pimple that I had covered up with some concealer. I googled what to wear beforehand for a black and white photoshoot and it's best to wear monochromatic colors. We wore white tops and the end result was simple and clean. Since we both wore glasses, Rex had us take off our glasses for some of the photos so that we got pics with and without glasses because we look different with them on and off.

"Boo!" That's what I hear in my head all night after our photo shoot with Rex…read more No, he doesn't say cheese to the kids. He says "Boo", and I guess they love that more! Rex does relate pretty well to kids since he has 2 of his own. I know this because I do know him on a personal and a professional level. The shoot started around 4:30pm at Heritage Park here in Cerritos. Rex knows the kids will need to take time to warm up to him so he let's them play for the first 30 minutes. The kids will always be taking breaks here and there so when he finds the opportunity, he will whip out his 5D and shoot multiple times. Unfortunately for us, it was just a really hot day on the day of the shoot. It was the last warm day I can remember , inching to around 100 degrees. So at first, some of the shots when I got them back, I can see the sweat on my daughter's face. That's how clear his pictures were! So those pretty much can go into the recycle bin. But of course, there were some awesome shots and I believe he also photoshopped a few that I like because I can tell it wasn't natural lighting. I too, am a avid photographer so I know about composition, lighting, focus, etc. I didn't have any pictures in mind, just a generic shot. I think that was the only drawback for our shoot. So if you know what you want, or a style you want, you will need to convey that to Rex in advance. I was just needing a few shots for our annual Christmas cards and I think I found a few that I will be uploading to Costco.com's website soon. I found a few funny ones, including this one http://s3-media2.ak.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/b0OXmqMTArNXhRjVmAmsGQ/l.jpg Btw, Rex' humor can be a little raw and strange. I've known him for a few years so I think it takes that long to actually "get it'. But professionally, he's good at what he does. I'm a little picky about my pictures , so I would say Rex is a 4.5. Since he got the pictures I like to me within 24 hours, I rounded him up to a 5. I would recommend him for future kids photo shoots.

Such a huge shoutout and thank you to Rick. We had hired another DJ through a friend of my parents…read morewhen that DJ had an emergency three days before the wedding. Rick was given our wedding with no time to spare and pulled it off PERFECTLY. Music was my biggest worry at my wedding because my husband is Argentine and I was looking for the perfect blend of his music and the music I grew up with in the USA. I wanted the music to get all people on the dance floor no matter what country they were from. And with the last minute change, Rick made a point to come to our venue, meet with us, confirm everything we had set with the previous DJ and put our mind at ease. And what a party he threw! Rick was the MC and helped make sure everyone was where they needed to be which is no easy task with my in-laws and my parents. At times it was like herding cats but he did it with a smile. He also handled at least 5 different surprises from a flash mob, to a tango dance, to a Michael Jackson routine. He took all these things and made it work as one big amazing successful party. All of our guests from all over the world came up to us afterwards and mentioned how much fun they had and the dance floor was full the entire night. It was a truly international event! Thank you to Rick for taking what could have been a disaster and turning it into a better party than we had imagined!

It wasn't until after the event when some guests let us know that my husbands name (first and last) were spelled wrong on the photos. My recommendation, if you use Black Tie, make sure you check everything or run the risk of being disappointed.

He was also featured on various issues of wedding mags, such as the infamous Martha Stewart Weddings and The Knot, just the name a few. Max is a creative genius when it comes to capturing a couple on camera. My fiance and I (me, especially!) are kind of uncomfortable in front of the camera, but having such a calm and comfortable photographer such as Max (and his lovely wife, Margaux...a fine duo!) REALLY helped ease the embarassment. Max & Margaux are so easy going and a gem to work with. We recently received our engagement photos back and shed a tear (or two)! Every piece is a piece of art! Max sure knows how to capture the emotions of each couple he shoots. If you are looking for something more artsy with your engagement session and wedding, Max is the ticket! The fiance & I wanted to avoid those cheesy/traditional engagement photos (ick!), so we were so fortunate to have found Max. Word of advice...don't expect perfection to come cheap! His work is quality...and it's PERFECTION! Looking forward to have him capture our special day next month as well! To see his works, you can check out his blog and his site...website: http://www.maxwanger.com/ and blog: http://www.maxwangerblog.com/. Each photograph you see is pure eye candy for brides-to-be! His work speaks for itself, it's pure art and it's gorgeous. He has an uncanny ability to capture the best of what is in his environment in a way that feels authentic and like you're seeing it through your own eyes- nothing staged or contrived. I am an art director, so photography was one of my highest priorities. I cried (happy tears!) the day our harddrive with all of our photos arrived. I knew they would be beautiful, but they were even better than I could have imagined! In addition to producing the most gorgeous images, both Max and Margaux are two of the most lovely and wonderful people you'll ever meet/ work with. There were a lot of complications with my wedding- it was out of the country (in Tulum, Mexico) and our coordinator took our money and ran, leaving us two months out from the wedding date. We had to re-plan everything and change venues in less than two months (by the time we went down to Mexico and found a new coordinator) and the stress levels could not have been higher. Max and Margaux were very understanding and even volunteered to help in any way they could. They are very flexible when it comes to logistics are are really willing to do whatever works best for you within reason. The day of the wedding our power kept going out and I couldn't get ready on time. I was a wreck! Max and Margaux arrived and I was a super stress case, but their very zen like demeanors helped me calm down and I was able to enjoy the process or our portrait session. I applaud them for that! So really, I don't know how it could get any better- the best pictures you'll ever see combined with two of the loveliest people you'll ever meet. I can't wait to see more of their work for years to come and only hope work with them again someday.
