We didn't want to have the kitchen open back up for us if they were already wrapping up. They assured us the kitchen wouldn't be closed for another 15 minutes so to come on in. We ordered the pizza, and the pizza guy had a meltdown. Apparently he had already started cleaning up for the night. We felt bad but also a little off putting that he would make such a scene in front of all the guests. Other than that we had a wonderful meal.

Their special marocchino is a slightly bigger macchiato served in a glass cup with chocolate sauce inside. In other circumstances I would have been happy of this surprise, but today I wanted to avoid extra sugars and carbs, so i was not as happy as I should have been. I also wanted to limit to he carbs of the other person, but the espresso came with a light cookie. Again, a nice touch, but in the wrong moment. Whatever, those were my constraints, not their fault. Both the espresso with cookie and the special marocchino were very good. Recommended.

We decided that despite eating italian food for the past 10 days and sick of it, we should eat it one last time before returning to the States. Given our situation, this was a bad mistake. The service was painfully slow, which at a international airport literally is a DEALBREAKER. I mean, 80% of the patrons there have to get through their gate, checkin, baggage, customs and security. Taking 15 minutes just get a waitress at our table, and then 40 minutes to get served food is no bueno. The food was 'okay' Nothing special. The pizza lacked was nothing special and the pasta, while good, was a small portion given the price. 1 soda costed 4:50 euros which is a bit pricey. Overall, not a horrible place given that its in a airport. But make sure you allow yourself enough time.

This one is located near the duomo and wasn't too busy despite the presence of their breakfast menu and multitude of tables. There was definitely a small up charge to sit at the tables which was of no bother. The affogato was oddly invigorating the morning, though the vanilla gelato was more the texture of ice cream. Maybe they save the real gelato -- which are kept in the small covered metal containers -- for the actual gelato orders?

I think the decor is great, if you want to grab lunch or come by to read the paper while sipping coffee, this place has plenty of room and a great selection of sweet and savory items. The lunch menu is extensive, with great salad options, seafood dishes or make-your-own-sandwich type of options. The vibe is that of a place serving regional food, selected to give you more options than you can hope for. Even the chocolates are high-end, coming from a chocolatier in Piemonte, and still reasonably priced. My "dose" ran out unreasonably fast, though, but that's a different story. This is a new establishment, they're still ironing out the kinks, but I'm sure you'll have a great time for a quality snack or meal, and when in doubt, the personnel can suggest the best option. Enjoy.

We got the Executive Jr. Suite since we wanted a separate area for my son. The view out the window was of the beautiful structure across the way. The bathroom was also nice and roomy. There was also a complimentary box of Venchi chocolates, which was so sweet! Breakfast was also great. Spacious dining room with a large variety of sweet and savory options, hot and cold. So in this emerging market, Viva is among the first healthy options with a couple of branches around the city. I regularly visit this branch close to Bocconi University, and like the ambient and the style of the store. I am a big fan of panini here, specially the one with bresaola and carciofi. I really like the wheat bread they use for their sandwiches, it is very fresh and tastes really good. I am still not sure if having a panini here is super healthy choice. In fact, last time, my sandwich was quite greasy. I still liked the taste and don't mind to try it again. More healthier options perhaps include having a salad. If you are into the concept of build-your-own-salad, Viva is the right place. There is quite a good selection of fresh ingredients which you can pick to make your own bowl. And finally... fresh juices are the best part of this place in my opinion. Don't forget to have one with your food or/and take one to go!
