I got some stickers (always my favorite souvenir) which I was not expecting at an antique store. so much inventory, beautifully displayed, and cute little things like the wall near the stairs has these holes in the bricks, so they put tiny little mice toys in those holes for you to discover. Selection includes a wide range of merchandise such as housewares, crafts, books, furniture, sporting goods, and separate areas for men's, women's, teen's and children's clothing. Clothing is an especially good value when they run "basket sales" for $5. For approximately the first 15 years or so the Top Notch Thrift Store was overseen by woman with retail management experience from the retail store Nordstrom (American luxury department store chain headquartered in Seattle, Washington). Now for the most recent few years, approximately 2022 and on, the store has gone through about one manager a year. Much of the original staff left as well, which is too bad as they were friendly. Some of the new staff are great, some less so. The bargains are always there though. Note: it's also across the street from a coffee and chocolate shop.

This used to be one of my favorite thrift stores. Whoever is doing the pricing now must think that…read morethe highest for sale price on eBay is what they can get in a thrift store. Not exactly how it works, but it's not my thrift store so I digress. When you think of an outrageous price they might be charging for an item, double or triple that and anything good is priced that way (but it's not good enough to be priced that way). There are still reasonable prices on some clothing, some books, and some very average glassware. They do have some interesting things and I did find one thing to purchase. So for this, I give 3 stars. I might come back at some point in the future but am not compelled to make a trip specifically to go here anymore.
