What's concerning is that there were still two days left in the sale--so how are those items supposed to be sold if they've already been taken? Homeowners, please be aware before hiring this company. Based on what I witnessed, their actions raise serious concerns about honesty and whose interests are truly being prioritized. If you're expecting a company to act in your best interest and maximize your return, you may want to reconsider. We were informed as part of the contract that we were not permitted to be in the house while they were working.. unfortunately I had to be there on a couple of days for short periods of time... During set up we noticed a few things that we hadn't seen before they arrived... once seeing them we wanted to pull them from the sale. We were told that we couldn't take them back.. We were told that we would have to buy them back at the price they set! We were stunned to say the least! The sale was to take place in a Friday and Saturday... on Thursday evening I went to the house to take a look... they had priced things extremely high.. 2 - 3 times what you could buy the item brand new!! We couldn't understand why this was... Our realtor dropped in on the sale and let us know there was 2 shoppers... and that the prices were astronomical... That evening we drove to the house... we were looking for all the signs around the neighborhood.. we found only 5... only on the same block as our home.. which meant basically no signage... very little had been sold... with the contract we agreed to have them clean out the house of anything that was not sold. All the items would be picked up by their "pickers" so they can sell what ever they wanted to take... we assumed not much would be left. We were told what ever they did not want, was to be taken donation drop offs... Saturday after the sale much of the good stuff was gone... NOT sold but "Taken to donation" We were told by the charity shop that Martha told us stuff was taken to that nothing had been donated that nothing fit the description of what was donated. When we asked Martha the response was delayed and the information she gave us was vague at best... The payment we received was extremely low... it was supposed to be a 60/40 split... it seemed like we got the 40%... the accounting was vague.. the charge for the "Payroll " was not at all clear of how many hours or people. We were left with the feelings of being scammed... They priced almost every single item, which I'm sure drove the cost of the labor up. And, that the high pricing was so that not much would sell and that would leave tons of stuff to be taken... for example, an outdoor thermometer that was a give away from a bank over 30 years ago had been hanging outside... covered in dust, was priced at an astonishing $15... It is our strong recommendation that you stay far away from this company. It's an awful feeling to lose a father then have this kind of experience on top of it all... Again, BEWARE!!!!! Stay away!!!!!

Floor staff is nice and helpful but when you get the the register to pay, the dark haired woman with the glasses changes and up charges the price on the item over than what the clearly written sticker says. Case in point, today there was a small metal budah I found in the boxes full of randoms with a $3 sticker. Cool! I go to pay, she tells me no, it's $59. I ask where does it say that and she says, that's just the price and peels the $3 sticker off. She did this twice to me on two different items. I did not buy. If you go to one of their sales be prepared to pay whatever their mood says and not the stickers that is priced on them. Also... it is customary for them to put a blue tape on an item to say it is reserved/sold to someone and they write Sold with the persons name on it. However, they place a blank blue tape on items they want to display but not sell, tell people it is sold even though it does not say it or a name and then keep it for themself at the end saying no one came back for it. Scam! Scam! Scam!

Venzor and their employees stood out to me immediately! They were all so kind and helpful. (Not going to name name's because I don't know all of them, but you are ALL amazing) They were Patient when needed (when I was struggling with something) as I was learning the in's and outs of estate sales. I learned that I loved the bundling process because I felt like I wasn't being nickel and dimed over every tiny thing like at some sales. I could have honest and fair conversations about prices without being ridiculed or snapped at. I always walked away from their sales feeling like I purchased some great things for a fair price. I never really thought about writing a review until the last 2 Days. My wife and I spent hours at their sale in Hermosa and had a blast! The ladies working there were an amazing. They were all working so hard and being so incredibly kind and helpful. We laughed and enjoyed the digging and left with a huge pile of treasure. I attended one of this company's sales today in Belmont Shore. They listed a start time of 8am. As we do, most of the professional resellers were there before sunrise to put names on the list. This list was supposed to be out at 6am. This is done to have first purchase opportunity for desirable inventory. No one from this company arrived up until about 6:45. Fortunately the early birds collectively agreed to start a list of our own, which the company did agree to honor. They said that they do not start their sales until 9am and that their ad for the sale was incorrect. They said they needed time to set up before they opened the doors. This frankly should have only taken 10 or 15 minutes had they properly prepped this sale prior to the opening of the sale. They were not overly apologetic, just matter of fact about this oversight. This is a disrespectful of their shoppers time. I understand their first priority is to the client. However, they would do a better job for their client if they were organized, on time, and prepared with some idea and knowledge of pricing. They have you bundle your items then give you a "bundle" price. The "bundle" price model is fine if the price is fair to both parties. The "bundle" price should not be higher than retail pricing. I saw so many people leave things behind because the prices quoted were not fair market value. This is a disservice to their client. Had they priced fairly on day one, they would likely have moved more inventory rather then having to subsequently discount it well below fair market value on the subsequent sales days. Again - not good for their client. Also worth mentioning is they let one of their regular shoppers in about 10 minutes early before the sale started to shop. I understand companies rewarding their most loyal customers by letting them shop presale. But arrange to do that the day prior, not the morning of the sale when others arrived significantly earlier than their VIP customer. I guarantee you that their VIP did not pay up for the items she was allowed to purchase before the sale opened. Not fair to the customers who arrived earlier than this customer, or more importantly to the client. There are literally a million estate sales companies out there. If you are searching for a company to host your estate sale - you'd probably be better served by contracting with a more professional company that understands appraisal and how to balance and maximize the sales experience for both the client and the shopper.

This will be the last time I ever go to their sales. Don't waste your time and go to other estate sales that don't price up everything. Everyone has a phone and can you look up prices quickly.
