After bouncing from shop to shop over the last 6 months in search of a new barber and getting acceptable but not great haircuts and shaves, I took a chance at the Vintage Barber Shop and scheduled with Luca. Within a couple of minutes of describing how I'd like my hair and goatee he went to work to correct all the mistakes of the last 6 months...... The outcome was this.... PERFECTION..... Great Haircut, Reshaped Goatee, Relaxing Hot Shave and a new barber / client relationship that will keep me looking and feeling like a million dollars... (at least every three weeks after my cuts) They have three chairs working at this shop with experienced barbers and take walk-ins but I think they'd prefer appointments. I had some time to kill before a flight out of PVD, so I thought I'd see if there was a good place to get a haircut in the area. Turns out there was an awesome place! $14 for a haircut is a pretty reasonable price here in the US, and a nice guy that owns the shop as well. So humble, too, telling me he never even asks for reviews on Yelp and was amazed at all the support. Had a nice conversation and a nice haircut. My only gripe was that there's no shampooing at the end, so I got to the airport covered in small hairs. I wish they would have cleaned me up a bit more before sending me on my way. Not a huge deal, I'll be back again next time I'm in the same scenario. read more

He gave me a 1 1/2 on the sides and back trimming up the top and finishing off with a superb razor cut. After searching around to find an actual barber shop to go to I found this one on Yelp. It had such great ratings and I had such high expectations. I always seem to have issues when telling the hairstylist to not cut too short. I have multiple cowlicks that are hard to manage when my hair is short. So this being my first time today going to this establishment I had high hopes. I had an 11 a.m. appointment. and I was seeing right at 11. But the person who cut my hair who was Spanish did not seem to listen to me very well. My hair was about 5 in Long all around top and sides. I asked him to just clean it up a little bit and take no more than an inch off. as he was going on I kept telling him it's short enough. He said my hair was thick he was thinning it out a little bit. Now my hair is only possibly a half inch long. I have never been so disappointed in a haircut. I need to find a good Barber who listens to how I want my haircut. My fiance hates it! I had let my hair get a little out of hand so I did some research and discovered Vintage Barbers. Even though was Tuesday around the lunch hour they had a few customers waiting to be seen. I got in line. Not that long after I was in a chair asking how'd I comb my hair and how short/long would I like it. They were very polite and courteous. Great barbers with good personalities who love talking sports, local politics, ect... keeping everything "light". It was a good atmosphere. The cut went well. There was a lot of attention to details and many questions still being asked of how I styled my hair. In the end it came out better than I expected, I was more than please and when the bill came my smile grew wider. This is a place that you don't forget to tip. The guys are working hard and are great at their craft. Loosen up a little bit and take care of these guys if your happy with their work. I was and I'm looking forward to seeing them again. I chose to go to Vintage off of the Yelp reviews, and I'm glad I did. I was in dire need of a haircut and needed a place that wasn't too expensive and could accept walk in's. When I walked in I was greeted by the owner who was very nice and I was immedialty in a chair getting my haircut. I explained what I wanted and he knew exactly where I was going with it, did an excellent job and the haircut was only $14 - not bad for an area that seems to charge $20+ for men's haircuts. The barbers there are extremely talented! Extremely hilarious when they start to have those cliche barbershop conversations! Down to earth people who love what they do. The younger, strapping, well talented lad in the back is a natural. Only could the owner provide competition with giving such a good haircut. Seriously, these guys are pros!
