One of my sons loves to splurge on the face shave. So clean, so fresh. They're always handsome in my eyes but gosh - after Brandon gets a hold of these guys, they look amazing! I had to cancel a few hours before appointment a few weeks ago and owner was very understanding. My…read moreson came here and asked for a mid taper. Hair longish curly on top. He tried to show Charlie a video and he didn't really even watch. He left with a high taper and didn't even cut top at all or blend sides well or line up anything. It also wasn't even when hair was pulled up, kinda messy (see pics). I had pre-paid and pre-tipped ahead. My son didn't feel comfortable saying anything because he didn't want him to make it worse. Definitely not the worst cut he's had but not the best. It's low key $15 anywhere else to just do an undercut which is basically what he left with. The shop itself is clean, busy, has free parking and a dog that greets patrons. Staff are all nice. We arrived early and waited in waiting area and he took him a few minutes early so it's not like he was rushed. Nice guy but probably won't return.

I caller first thing in the morning and scheduled an appointment at 1130. I showed up early at 1120, just in case. A few minutes after I arrived, another person arrived, also with an 1130 appointment with the same barber. It turns out the barber had forgotten to mark me on the schedule and taken a second appointment at the same time. He told me he was going to take the other customer first, and it would only be about 10 minutes. I was going to wait, but after 15 minutes I had to leave because I had other things I needed to get done on my day off. A short while later, I received this text: "Understand that im a barber. Appointments are approximate times. Not set in stone. My chair was open at 11:45. You would have still been finished by 12 noon. I book 30 min Appointments. So you walking out because your vagina was full of sand this morning is highly offensive. And next time you make a face at me will probably not wnd well for you. Have a great day. " I've never in my life seen such a blatant display of unprofessionalism as this, not even considering the low-key threat at the end of the text. I'd like to hope that the barber was just having a very bad day, as I'd never seen this kind of behavior from him before. Even so, I'll be getting my hair cut elsewhere from now on.

I recently moved to North Kingstown and was looking for a new barber for a good men's haircut…read more Gianni's was the first place I looked into, in part because of the convenient location and all of the great reviews. I am so glad I did. The online scheduling process was quick and easy and I got right in. My experience with Gianni was excellent from the start. He is very friendly, easy to talk to, and clearly passionate about his craft. He cares about each and every haircut and wants his customers to leave confident, looking good and happy with their experience. Interestingly, like a physician keeping medical charts, he takes notes on every customer and haircut, so when you come back and want "the usual" (or maybe something different), he knows what he did the last time and can fine tune from there. I'm surprised more barbers don't do this. Personally, this is exactly what I am looking for in a barbershop. I highly recommend Gianni's and will certainly be going back.

So, I did what I do and used Yelp to see who was highly recommended and in the area. Some great reviews led me to Gianni's. Even before arriving, the online scheduling process was fast, easy and smooth. When I arrived, I found a clean, welcoming waiting area. Nice TV, with the Olympics on. Magazines. Comfy chairs. A little privacy for whoever is getting their hair cut because of a sort of wall to separate the waiting area from the working area. One barber chair. Everything scheduled. No waiting (unless you're early like I was). Gianni is an extrovert. He's a good talker and clearly enjoys shooting the breeze with customers. He asks questions and takes notes to make sure you are getting exactly what you want, and will continue to do so going forward. If you're not sure, he's happy to offer suggestions. He is skilled, precise, and really does care that you look your best when you leave the shop. Even when you're done, he'll ask if there's anything else he can do for you (eyebrows?) and he really wants you to feel good when you're done. The price is also right and very fair for the great customer service. If you're in the area and not going here, you're missing out. Try and see for yourself.
