They collect your payment upfront so that once you see the doctor you are free to go. Dr. Gage always comes in like he has all the time in the world. He reviews your cardiac system and open to the discussion for any potential issues that may be occurring. He does a comprehensive review of all medications and answers any questions. As busy as they are you wouldn't think that the atmosphere would be so relaxed, but it is! This time there was a discussion that ensued related to the cardiac stress test that Tom is due for per the American heart Association guidelines. When Dr. Gage found out that times negativity was related to the physical portion of the stress test he advised there is also a chemical stress test that can be taken. I was glad that he brought This option up as I think Tom will be able to see his way clear to having that. The med techs there are also spot on. The hubby has to get an EKG every six months that correlates with his follow up and the med techs there are very able and proficient. Probably sounds kind of funny to take a treat to the cardiology office but Tom has always drop Dan with round rock donuts for them and I suspect he will do that again this holiday season since I am not planning on baking this year. I am very happy to say that my experience there was fantastic from the point of checking in at the hospital in the morning to being discharged after the procedure was finished and I was ready to leave later on that night. A small army of very nice, very competent people helped me through every step of a rather scary and potentially dangerous operation. The nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff were especially compassionate and listened carefully to all my concerns, and then acted on them. The vibe there was always upbeat and positive. I really felt that these people cared about me and what they were doing. It definitely wasn't just a job for them. I'd like to shout out to the nurses there: Heather, Lexi and Joe. I had a minor complication after surgery and they stood by me, taking turns attending to me until the problem was fixed. Every person that I interacted with was patient, friendly and compassionate. What more can you ask of a hospital? I love to write reviews about food and restaurants, etc, but never about places like hospitals. Let's just say that I need to be very impressed if I am to spend my valuable time writing a review of a hospital. Thank you, Dr. Whitehill and staff. You guys are the best!

While in the hospital a year the nurses kept talking about the Dr. Z & how I'd love him. My PCP office said when they called them last week the lady was very rude. This week only the answering service is answering calls and they said they don't know if office is closed or not but no one ever calls back. So unless they get new front staff I will not recommend them to anyone. It's a shame because he is a good doctor!

I had an appointment this morning and it was cancelled. No one called me to tell me. I called the office staff and was transferred (because I had to call twice) to voicemails (including the office manager's voicemail). I'll be interested to see if she returns my call. I was told by the office staff that I was contacted several times by his supervisor in an effort to cancel my appointment. This is an outright lie. I have their number on my phone, and nobody called me. In addition, I received my check-in online yesterday morning (Sunday), so truly nobody called me. I am seriously considering changing doctors, only for this reason. I really like Dr.Gage and would like to keep him as my cardiologist, but this is getting unreasonable and stressing me out for no reason. To make matters worse, I have called his medical assistant several times. When I have been able to get through, the assistant has been very nice. Unfortunately, when no one is available, no one answers and there is no voicemail. This is inappropriate for a cardiologist's office. At the very least, there should be a voicemail set up.

Not happening. My daughter has worried long enough about her recent heart murmur diagnosis. We will NOT wait another month for her to be seen by a doctor. She will go to one who ensures that he/she has staff that can do their jobs and provide good customer service.

After speaking t the billing department, which is in another area code, I was told that their billing department was entering information correctly and got so screwed up that they had to send their billing out to a third party to "clean up". Now you can not speak to anyone in Austin about these bills and so far I have received 3. It is very frustrating and I will not be going back.
