This company has really prompt service and professional employees. It is not often that I provide…read morepositive feedback on a company, usually only when something goes wrong with my experience. I wanted to take the time today to comment on the service I received from Wells Unlimited. I returned from a week's vacation in Florida to a house with no water. I called them in the morning after I could not get in touch with anyone from other companies that were recommended. They not only had someone there to answer the phone (unlike the other companies where I had to leave a message on an answering machine), but put me in touch with a service manager. They scheduled someone to come out that day and not only fixed the problem (a broken well pump) but also checked over the rest of the system to make sure it was all working properly. Through the entire process they were professional, pleasant and made sure that I was satisfied with the outcome and understood what was happening. To top it off, it cost less than the estimate. The following day, I lost my water pressure and I was worried that they had made a mistake or something else was going to cost me more money. When I called, the field service manager was in the field and I couldn't talk to him. He promptly returned my call and had me check a few things before they sent someone out. It turned out it was something simple that they had told us about the day before that we forgot to check (the sediment filter was plugged due to the pump changing). But they were more than willing to send someone out. I would not hesitate to do business with this company again and have already told all my neighbors, friends and family.

I very seldom write reviews, but my dealings with Wells Unlimited far exceeded my expectations. I…read morebuilt a home 12 years ago and had nothing but trouble with my well water. It was extremely high in iron causing severe stains and the inability to drink the water. We also had problems with the well running dry constantly. We finally got a second mortgage to fix the problems. We brought in someone to put in a filtering system. I did not have a good feeling about this company, but we moved forward at a cost of $5,000 plus. The well running dry constantly stopped the filtering system dead in its tracks. When we talked to the filter system company they said for another $5,000 we can arrange to have your well re-dug. I put my foot down and said NO. We contacted Wells Unlimited in Standish, Maine in a total panic and explained the situation. They were cool, calm and very professional and said "here is what we can do for you". Immediately they had someone down to re-dig the well at a fraction of the previous quote. They inspected all systems, tank, filters and well pump. Wells Unlimited is now maintaining my filter system and I wouldn't want anyone else to touch it. This company will far exceed your expectations as well. I totally agree with everything Rich S has said in his comments. This company is definitely a five star company in all aspects. They know how to take very good care of their customers.

We worked with O'Shea Builders for what would have been several small jobs. However, our primary…read morejob, a waterfall inside our house, turned out to be much more extensive than both we and O'Shea anticipated. Due to upper deck flashing that had been incorrectly installed by the prior owners, water had seeped into the walls and caused extensive damage. Jeff, the O'Shea foreman in charge, a contractor in his own right, and the person who did the vast bulk of the work, was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating of our needs, as well as professional and exacting in the work. He and Warren O'Shea, the owner, offered us several alternatives of varying prices in terms of how to deal with the issues involved, and gave us the pros and cons of each alternative. The damage was addressed extremely competently and thoroughly, and a significant rainfall that occurred within a week of the job being finished showed that our interior waterfall was now gone and that has been the case since the job was finished. The other jobs within the house, cited in our home inspection, were also addressed quickly and resolved beautifully. As a side note, I would like to address hiring contractors generally, having been through seven major jobs through the years. I got what I view as excellent advice from the first two contractors I worked with. The first advice was to be aware that no contractor can see behind walls (our house was almost 100-years old at that time,) and once they break through the walls, they have to deal with what's there - and that means that if, for example, electrical wiring isn't up to code, they are legally required to bring it up to code, and doing so almost always is going to add to the cost of the job. The second piece of advice was that our quote was very specifically based on what we'd told the contractor we wanted/needed and that *ANY* changes would likely result in additional costs, so we have always been extremely careful to know exactly what we wanted beforehand and to never have changed the scope of the job. In conclusion, we were more than satisfied with O'Shea and will certainly call on them for any future work. They are exceptional - as in great - to deal with on all levels.

My wife and I used O'Shea Builders LLC to work on our lake home in Standish, ME. Warren O'Shea bid…read moreapproximately $180,000 for the job. The final price came in over $300,000 and at the end of the job he chose to not complete the job. The work done was good, but his price was so far over what he quoted it made for a very unsatisfied customer. In addition he didn't finish the job when he said he would, which was sometime mid April to early May. He stopped working in early June and as I said before he chose not to complete the job leaving me kind of stranded. My suggestion when working with O'Shea Builders LLC is make him sign a contract where his price is his price, not this contractor mumbo jumbo excuse laden "Not my fault, man".

DO NOT HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR…read more Sharing this to warn others in the area -- we hired this contractor and ended up wasting $1,200 on a job that wasn't done properly. The job was to level our floor so we could install new flooring. After the first visit, there were still noticeable uneven patches. The second visit was supposed to smooth those out -- but it did nothing. All that happened was more cement added on top of cement, and we still can't move forward with our flooring. Bottom line: the job is not done, the floor is still not usable, and we're out $1,200 with no results. On top of that, he was 20 minutes late to the first appointment. For the second visit, we confirmed an 8:30 AM start time. At 8:35, he texted to say he'd be 25 minutes late -- he showed up 45 minutes late and complained about traffic and dropping off his kid, which should've been accounted for. Now we're left spending more money and doing the work ourselves to fix something that should've been done right the first time. This is not someone I'd trust in your home or with your time or money. Feel free to message me for screenshots or more details -- I just don't want anyone else to go through what we did.
