We are new to the area and we're looking for a place to take our 22 year old son with Autism for a haircut. I have to say Vinny went above and beyond doing my sons hair. It's not an easy task doing anything out of the normal with this population. We will definitely be going back monthly. I highly recommend this barbershop. Worst haircut ever. I do not believe that Joe is actually a barber at all. I went in to clean up around my sides and back for a family wedding. He completely just cuts however he wants and half is missed and uneven. Then he proceeds to thin out my entire head so some hair is now a mixture of 5" long and 2" long. Then takes a buzzer and cuts my sideburns off even with the tip of my ear like its 1970. I immediately left and had to find an actual barber to try to fix it. The barber who had to fix had to take off nearly 3" off the top to make it semi even....saying it will be a few haircuts before he can get something remotely even. I would say save your money and avoid this place. Sad thing is the owner is watching this go on and didn't say a word. read more

I went into this Barber Shop because I was curious about it, considering I live near by. I can honestly say that I've never had a better hair cut and barber experience! Vinny and Keith are really great barbers and they provide a really fun atmosphere for me as a client. Beside the hilarious side talk, the great movies being played and the very personable atmosphere; These guys know how to cut hair and it seemed that they have a lot of regulars! That alone, is always a good sign and sure proof in the pudding. Both of them cut my hair, based on who is available first and I get more than exceptional results from both of them. I don't know what this lady Carmela (below) is talking about, considering she is a hair stylist and her own boyfriend/fiancé is going elsewhere to get his hair done. So I guess her rage might be fed off of jealousy. When I moved to this area of Long Island, I was on a mission. As per the usual for all of us when moving to a new area, I needed to find local places to which I would want to go about on my business and errands. One of the must haves on the checklist was a good barber. I am not hard to please, but I was hopeful for a place that was a comfortable locale, clean, quiet, within reasonable distance from me, and above all else had a cool and competent barber. I initially tried two different barber shops whose names I will not say, but just know they're on the same road... They were decent, but I was not entirely comfortable going to either. One place had just too many people - it felt too impersonal. The other place had less, but I did not really click with them much. Third time is the charm it seems, as Vinny's was next on my righteous list to find a good barber shop. This shop is managed by both Vinny and his father, Joe. First things first: the shop is loaded with tons of automotive decor. What person does not take some enjoyment in seeing cool stuff from the automotive realm? You may say to yourself that would not matter, "I am not a car person," you might say. Well you are, you just have not realized it yet, and Vinny and Joe chose well with decoration. It really gives the place good character. Secondly, Vinny and Joe are both awesome guys. It is cool to see a father and son team working together for their local community. I am not a super talkative person, that is to say I would not necessarily be jabbering away while getting a cut all the time, but Vinny and Joe, both of whom have cut my hair, are easy to have a gaggle with, but are just as content with leaving you be in your quiet zone if you so wish. Pricing is good, the quality of their work is solid, and they do all the standard stuff that you would expect from a barber shop. Maybe even more that I am unaware of. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointment via phone is also an option. I am happy to have found this place which has been my go to for cuts since. I also take my disabled uncle, which Vinny and Joe happily accommodate. I have lived on Long Island since 2014, and this is the best barber shop I have been to yet. Place is a joke. Vinny is a solid barber. He'll listen to you and give a nice cut. The other guy....forget it. DO NOT GO TO HIM. He stands there and mopes around you without a care. The lack of effort he put forth into my haircut was absolutely pathetic. Didn't listen, doesn't know how to fade and shouldn't be cutting hair for a living. This place is horrible!!!! My fiancé went this past weekend to get his hair cut and was seen by the owner. As a fellow hair stylist I just have to say that the hair cut was horrible. An uneven mess. This is barber shop, you come for the talent they offer and in return you get stories, movies and of corse a great hair cut.
