To be honest the hair cut was ok it was like how I want it but it wasn't neat at all I could see part were the shading was so bad where you don't have to be close up to see it. I feel like the guy who cut my hair need more skill and know how to make a better skin fade read more

Great quality cut and fast! These two guys are nice, not ghetto, and take there time. Somehow one guy cut me and my boyfriends hair in under an hour and we both have beards. The only downside is the parking but just grab a spot on the street for a quick exit to taco bell to celebrate. read more

I can't say enough good things about these gentlemen. This is the only place my sons will get their hair cut, and they don't trust anyone else with the beards! They are quick, but amazingly precise with both hair cut and shave. They do such a great job and you can't beat the prices. read more

I've been to Jay twice since he's opened and he does an excellent job. I've been through multiple barbers throughout my years growing up, including your locals barber shops as well as your pricey salons in the mall and Jay is hands down the BEST barber I've been too. He takes his time, and doesn't cut corners. (No pun intended). He uses scissors to cut the top while some people will use the buzzer. To top it off, at the end he uses shaving cream and a blade around the ears and the back for a clean finish. Highly recommended to all, check him out. Prices are extremely reasonable at $11 for a men's cut. He's also very family friendly, welcoming guy! read more

Never again. Been there about three times before tonight, mediocre at best. I picked it based on the reviews on here. I always left slightly annoyed because they never really do what I told them but I never really looked that bad so I went with it. Tonight? Oh god. I knew for a fact they were messing me up 2 minutes after I sat down. Some guy came to take over for the ~65 year old guy screwing me over. He fixed it somewhat but I look like hell. Gotta go to work tomorrow looking like this... maybe I'll wear a hat. read more

Hands down, best barber I've been too! Very polite and truly exceptional barbers. My first time at this place, I called in to make an appointment yesterday and they were more than happy to accommodate me as soon as I walked in. The barber who cut my hair (I think his name was Nassir) really took his time and put in the effort to make sure my hair was just the way I wanted it. Most of my previous barbers I went to would usually rush through my cut and talk to his coworkers while cutting my hair. These guys are very professional and care for the customers. Knowing it was first time, he even offered to gel up my hair for free! It gets even better.. they open late on weekdays which you don't find with most local barbers and the price was only $13 for the haircut that I got! So happy I discovered this place and they definitely earned a regular in me. read more

Well I was looking for a new barber as we entered Phase Two a few weeks back, and considering I've only gone to 2 barbers ever In my life I'd say I'm a bit picky. Turns out it was a great experience. They were incredibly safe, with face masks required. Everyone waited outside or at the proper distance inside. If you are looking for a clean, professional, well run shop then Jay The Barber is it! It's hard to find a barber that knows your style, understands what you desire, and creates that specific style with minimal deviation. I think Javed is really great, and he understands what you want, as long as you clearly explain yourself and show pictures of what you want. Just got a great cut from Melvis at Jay's Barbershop. $12 for a haircut is amazing, let alone around the Centereach/Selden area. Convenient location, late hours. (7PM on weekdays) Melvis really took his time with my haircut and I definitely see the results of his patience. read more
