Very clean and modern. Always on time with appointment. These brothers run a nice shop.

Quality barbershop! Soner is wonderful. Reservations are easy with the Vagaro app. Never a wait with an appointment. Started bringing my kids this past year and they love coming too. I've had cuts with Oz and Eddie and was left very impressed. Highly recommend Kubat! read more

I made a 4:25 appt. I was less than 5 mins late and they took a walk-in and refused to fit us in. They had 2 people in their shop and wouldn't even allow us to be walk-ins. Horrible experience! Odd place too. It look like they had 2 way mirrors with a TV in it and it looked like some type of camera behind the mirror too, very suspicious. read more

The staff was incredibly welcoming and professional. They really listen to what you want and offer great advice on what would look best. The atmosphere is very comfortable, making you feel right at home. My haircut was exactly as I envisioned, thanks to the skilled hands of the barber. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for top-notch service and a great haircut! read more

I haven't looked back or for any other barbershop since I've found Kubat's Barbershop, conveniently close also! Highly professional and skilled barber's at this location. It's a very friendly atmosphere. And the modern updates this business has will make it clear this is where to visit when you need a haircut! I also really like the attention to hairstyles or haircuts. Never to taken to much off the top, nothing feels worse for me than leaving with a haircut that I don't like. The online scheduling is so easy and simple which makes it easy to be in and out and a timely manner. read more

I've been notorious for bad haircuts and bad barbershop experiences because of my "Asian" hair. I get a fauxhawk with a 2 in the sides. I use to just let my hair grow out because I didn't want to pay for another disappointing haircut. This completely changed 4 years ago when Oz started cutting my hair. He takes time to ask what style you want, offers advice and his honest and professional opinions. I've never met a barber as genuine and caring through the years of conversation. Thank you Oz for taking care of me the last four years. You're awesome! Kubat as a whole is the professional, efficient and respectful. The place is clean and presentable. Oz always cut my hair but everyone else holds the same high standard. The appointments are about 40mins. If you have to wait a little, enjoy the comfy seats, big screen TV and coffee. They use the Vagaro app for appointments but will offer you an appointment if they have an opening. The app is easy to use, download, sign up, select a date/time, barber and what you want. It's easy to reschedule too. read more

My kids came back from two weeks with Grandmas in Florida and my 10 year old looked like a tanned, beach bum (thanks mom) So, we went to the new barber in St James, Peter's Barber shop. My little man still needs a booster seat. He sits down and gets a ROCKIN' haircut for school. The kid looks like a Sears model, my baby! Now, Sonar remembers me from last week and the guy is so nice that he charges me 6 bucks again for a haircut! Great haircut and nice barbers. Stony Brook/St. James folks, look no futher. We have a gem of a barber in town! read more

Highly professional and friendly. The two barbers who were working when I was there took their time with their clients. They listened and offered suggestions and really had a good product at the end. Of the 4 people who had cuts before me, each one of them walked away satisfied with their cut. I was very happy with my skin fade and hard part with beard trim. My barber took his time, really paid attention to detail and asked my input throughout the cut. Given the proximity to my job, I will be returning with an appointment. read more

Went here today for a haircut after searching for a barber. I booked a 10 am appt., eager to see if the high reviews were accurate. The shop looks professional, clean and has a big TV in the corner as well as several smaller screens in front of the barbers chair. The barber I had booked with, Oz, was running late. Not sure what happened. Soner apologized and directed me towards Omar, who was free at the time. I was a little upset by the delay, but it is more important that Soner tried to solve the problem . Omar recommend the haircut I should get after a brief discussion and I was extremely happy with the haircut. Most barber shops don't do appts, so you end up waiting unnecessarily. The appt process is easy and makes great use of your time. I plan on coming back to this barber shop! read more

Eddie does a great job on my haircut. I would highly recommend him . I live in Saint James so their location is perfect for me. The whole staff is very nice and accommodating. read more

I'm a big fan. The barbers here are really helpful and they are very generous. All appointments are made quick and easy; everything done on an app called Valgaro, and it is as simple as selecting your appointment slot and confirming it. They're skilled at their craft to say the least. They're precise and efficient. I highly recommend, and prices aren't overbearing. At $17, what more can you ask for? They provide you with styling, head towel shaving accompanied with a straight razor, and feeling clean. I highly recommend! read more

We love this Barber Shop. Make an appointment you wont be disappointed. After trying a bunch in the area with inconsistent staff we found our place. We have been going to Kubat for a few years now and love the haircuts. They cut both my husband and sons hair. They always do an amazing job and are very friendly and professional. My seven year old son goes to Oz and he is always awesome with him. read more

Found this place through Yelp, and on a whim decided to bring my 3 year old for his "big boy" haircut. The 2 men at the shop, Soner and Ahmet were very pleasant and professional. We barely had to wait, which is great when you are with a toddler. They cut his hair SO good, that when we got home, my husband went there and got HIS hair cut. So both the boys in my house have great hair, and we found their barber shop! Highly recommend this place. read more

Oz gave me a great cut and was very patient listening to exactly how I wanted my hair. I just relocated to the area and I have tried 3 other barber shops-glad I have identified my regular barber shop. They have TVs in the mirrors and the environment is very comfortable. read more

I have been going to Kubat for years. My son and I travel from Kings Park. We started coming here after stopping in on ST. James Day. I have recommended numerous friends to come here. You get an excellent haircut at a great value. Sonar takes his time and never rushes your cut. I highly recommend this barbershop. His brother Oz is very good too read more

My kids always come out looking like they should be on a magazine cover. Great place...runs like clockwork....pleasant atmosphere.

Wonderful barber shop who did a great job with my two sons haircuts. They were really friendly and patient with my kids. Will definitely be going back! read more

Great barber shop!!!! Very clean and the staff there is really pleasant. I tried a couple of barbershops around the area and in Smithtown searching for a regular barber. Most of them didn't cut my hair the way I wanted it. Another shop I tried in Smithtown was way over priced!!! Kubat barber shop is the one I keep on coming back too, they do a great job cutting my hair and they take there time cutting your hair. The prices are the standard prices for a haircut 17 bucks for a regular hair cut. You can also make an appointment on the app they provide. You can choose your barber on the app. read more

These are highly skilled barbers that will give you exactly what you ask for. 5/5 stars would recommend to everyone.

Kubat's Barbershop is a great friendly barber. The barbershop itself is a hub for all the local men. Soner and his brother take care of each and every customer like one of their own. They've been in the business for many years, they continue you to renovate and cater to their customers at the highest level every year. read more

Been going here since I was 18 now I'm 30! Sonny is like family, him and his brother keep the place classy and clean for years. I never had a bad moment and believe me it's worth every dollar! read more

5 stars without a doubt, Great service and Always professional. They really treat you with hospitality. A bunch of nice friendly barbers who are second to none when it comes to the art of cutting hair whether you want a trim, fade, or a nice clean shave. I highly recommend Kubats barber shop to everyone. Great cut everytime. read more

I am a new customer at Kubat due to the fact my last barber moved away, and I absolutely love this place. When you are getting your haircut, you can tell they are putting lots of effort into the cut making sure it's perfect. I've gotten my hair cut by Omar a couple times now and I am very happy with his work he does. I like how they have appointments so you know when you arrive at your selected time, you don't have to wait. Also, the haircut only takes about 20 minutes which I think is perfect. I've always walked out that place feeling good. read more

Clean, great service, large tv with sports. Easy to make appointment. Omar was great. Cash only

A terrible haircutting lobby dressed as a high end barbershop. Wouldn't recommend anyone here with far superior shops within walking distance. Prices don't match the quality either. Their appointment set up seems like it would be a good idea but doesn't work for a traditional barbershop where normally walk-ins would be welcomed here they are pushed aside. read more

I read the review from 2009 and figured I'd give this place a try. The woman who was cutting my son's hair at Supercuts (yay, Eva!) has relocated to Medford now that the Selden Supercuts has closed, and that's just too far. Anywho, we stopped by, no wait and Ahmet did a great job! Took his sweet time and gave my son a cut that made him look like a teenager instead of a scruffy kid. $14 is a long way from the $6 the 2009 reviewer posted, but certainly not unreasonable, especially considering how much time he took. We've found our new place. read more

This barbershop is by far one of the best ones near Stony Brook University. Although it's a bit pricier than in the city, they do a great job of making sure their customers are satisfied and are very meticulous in their work. I was skeptical at first since I don't normally trust barbers other than my go-to which is in the city. But I'm glad I came here today and will definitely visit again. The place looks very modern, each seat even has its own TV on the wall between the mirrors and it has an overall great vibe. read more

Extremely professional and courteous. Never in a rush, very patient with kids. Always come away feeling happy with their work!

Awesome barbershop. These guys know how to do men's cuts well. Affordable and a clean place if you're looking for a new barber.

Excellent barbershop. Very clean, nice barbers, and passionate about what they do.
