I had seen shirts before but didn't know the whole history. It's worth reading about it on their website at the black dog.com - they do a lot of philanthropic collabs also for animals. The shirt he bought me was a collab design. The proceeds of the sales would go to animal shelters. When he bought the shirt, the girl behind the counter said that the sets had just come into stock and were brand new. I love the fabric material and wear it when walking outside or at the gym. Garden City seemed like the best option for a variety of children's clothing stores. I walked into Gap and was immediately greeted. There was a lovely woman working the kids section who offered to help if I needed it and told me about all of their promos. They were very well stocked with a variety of sizes in the toddler section. Friendly service and the sizes I needed. What more can you ask for?

It's one of those stores you have to check often to see what they have in stock. They rotate seasonal and holiday items with any unsold items going into the discount bin after the holiday. They have good prices on clothes and I always check out the sales racks. Clothes are offered for all ages with big changing rooms at the end. The layout here is similar to other Marshalls in this area. With lots of kitchen items it makes sense to check here first. They offer different items than you'll find at other stores which often have the same items at different price points and the prices are good here. I often find things at Marshalls I've been looking for elsewhere. Pots, bowls, linens, utensils. It's all here, plus some food items. One line forms for all the registers and of course they have impulse buys along the way. Candles, personal care items, socks, mittens, lunch boxes, you name it. All cute and desirable. Lots of parking in the lot out front.

Rhode Island does not have sales tax…read more When I noticed I was charged $39.50 I requested a refund of the $4.50 to be put towards a purchase Of another item. The sweet employee called her manager Gregory Hall who told her they "do not do that" and they would not give me back my money. I believe the item was mismarked and it rang up in the register as $39.50. However, it was tagged at $35. This is Not about the $4.50. It is the principal of the matter. Do the right thing. They would have actually made More Money from me if they just admitted their mistake. I was born and raised in Newport and I was home visiting family. Needless to say none of my Local family will be shopping there. Mistake

She simply put her phone on the counter and continued talking! There was no greeting when we walked in, no "thank you" when we left. I will walk past this store the next time I am in Newport.
