History
Established in 2021.
My name is Peter and I am the founder and operator of Vineyard Vans Incorporated. I am from Nassau County and my beautiful wife grew up on the North Fork. We started dating in 2018 and after moving out east, I started this independent, small-party passenger transportation company in 2021. Unforeseen events in my personal life delayed the official start date of the business to 5/15/2022 which also happens to be the month and year I proposed to my wife to marry me (she said yes! and we have been married since April of 2023). Serving my newfound community, guests of the Inns, hotels, bed and breakfasts, and local stays has been really great, and I hope to continue to do so to the best of my abilities.
The company currently offers 2 types of services when it comes to local North Fork excursions: Ride Series and Hourly Service. Request a date on our website and I will personally be the one getting back to you. I hope to be available for your next big day out on the North Fork ~ Peter
Meet the Business Owner: Peter B.
My name is Peter Barry and I am the owner of Vineyard Vans Incorporated. I have a background in insurance, and had been licensed from 2015-2021 to write new insurance policies as well as service customers with existing policies. My father ran an office in Garden City for 34 years and I worked for him and my mother full time prior to starting Vineyard Vans. One of my roles was to review policies to ensure that our customers were properly protected. I also drove for Uber part-time on the side during some of those years. I have worked many other jobs prior to working in insurance. I was a caddie at a golf course for 5 years, I worked at a pizzeria when I went to college upstate for 3 years, and there was a short time I was working for a dock builder and a plumber when I first moved to Southold. I found that being a driver was the most fulfilling.
On a personal level, I enjoy the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. Basketball is my favorite sport to play and watch.
