Luan worked closely with my mother while I was out of town (I live in Seattle) to arrange a surprise addition of protea -- a flower native to my husband's home country of South Africa -- to the table centerpieces and my bouquet. During our initial consultation, I could only tell her that I wanted, "green, spiky things, solid stuff, nothing too fluffy" -- I'm an engineer who missed out on my mom's green thumb. She just 'got it' and showed me plenty of options that fit the bill and fit the budget. Everything on the day of was gorgeous, fresh, and better than I had pictured. AND Luan was there to give bouquet 'pointers' all the way up to my walk down the aisle (seriously; she was the one holding my dress and veil as I began to walk to ensure it fell correctly).
