Wow. We had an incredible experience here. We gave minimal guidance about what to include, very general review feedback about a couple flavors we preferred to stay away from. We left and came back 30 min later to a beautiful platter that was very filling and incredibly delicious. My husband and I could not stop snacking. The cheeses were excellent, they made great pairings with the meat choices. They also added a nice mix of crackers, flavors and textures.. including grapes and local honey. There was a truffle cheese included that I am still thinking about. Can't recommend enough, was thoroughly impressed, and will make a point to revisit.

He was willing to engage with me as I weighed the options and really cared about making me the perfect sandwich. I had a sopressata and mortadella with mozzarella di bufala and roasted red peppers. He also added some basil to it, which was perfect. The meats were sliced perfectly thin and the ratio of meat to cheese was perfect. The bread was also perfect for this sandwich, not to fluffy, not to dense. When he handed it to me it was clear that he had taken great pride in it. You don't find this kind of artisan care anymore and it is really special. The crazy part is that it was only $12! That sandwich would have been $18-$20 somewhere else. They told me that they also do dinners for 16 people once a week. I can't wait to go back and

Needless to say the "hey let's stop to walk on the sand" was a miscalculation, one of the dogs ran, hightailing it behind a closed seasonal storage container in an attempt to avoid the pain of 40 MPH granularity to the snout. So once I bribed him with the last piece of $30.00 Rosemary Focchia from Schmitts Farm Stand (whose getting blown up on my next review, so tune back in) he jumped in, i battled the car door closed and we shoved off into town. Greenport is super sleepy in mid November, some shops are open, nobody was on the streets. I felt like Vincent Price in The Last Man on Earth and as we entered Greenport Fire thinking surf zombies were likely on our tail, I started tasting hot sauces, all of them. "Line 'em up and I'll put 'em down" until the searing sandblasting outer cheek pain melded with my now Schofield Unit mouth of fire causing ample pain, but I liked it so I had more. Heather (store owner and super mom) and I were having a good time talking hot sauce, I pointed out that i took part in some hot wings eating contests, one YELP sponsored, saying this between towel dabbing the sweat from my brow. Walking out with two bottles of the local Greenport hot sauce and some incense for the bathroom the next day, this store is a must see if your in town. They even had NFL on the big screen in the back, Giants were losing a d the Jets had a great day as they were on their Bye Week and couldn't embarrass themselves, barring the Sanchez situation.

Ok, so I can't speak personally to the quality of the hot sauces since my husband is the aficionado and I am a weakling with spice, but they he vouches for their great hot sauces, and wide variety. They arrange the hot sauces by level of heat and the friendly staff is always happy to give you a taste if you want to try something. They also sell cigars and some spicy snacks.

What began as a tiny oyster shack quickly became a gathering place for locals and visitors alike, introducing countless people to the art of shucking and enjoying fresh local oysters. Over the years, a loyal community formed around their welcoming, family-like atmosphere and genuine "come as you are" attitude. The memories made there--and the children who grew up with this beloved seaside fixture as part of their lives--are truly impossible to quantify. Fortunately for all of us, Little Creek Oysters embarked on a new home that allowed them to continue their vision while expanding it in exciting ways. Their new location at 211 Carpenter Street offers an inventive menu, an exceptional selection of local seafood, and a beautifully curated modern-rustic seafaring aesthetic that feels both fresh and authentically North Fork. Today, guests can enjoy the experience across two floors, plus an inviting outdoor patio complete with fire pits, good company, and the unmistakable charm that made Little Creek special from the very beginning. No visit to Greenport is complete without rubbing elbows with local fishermen, residents, and visitors while enjoying some of the finest local oysters around. Little Creek Oysters captures the spirit of this waterfront village better than just about anywhere else--and that's what makes it such a special place.

Sing it folks! You know the words (maybe). No, not The Simpson's version about garbage. We're…read moretalkin' about chocolate, nougat, caramel. The Candyman! Okay, we're actually talking about a candy shop, not Sammy Davis Jr. (or any version of that song). The Candyman, up in Orient, will fill your sweet tooth with just what you need, and not only with candy. My lady and I stopped in when heading out east (back at the end of the summer) and grabbed a few tasty items to gobble down later on. Heading to the end of the North Fork will make it almost certain that you'll cross paths with The Candyman (not the creepy B-horror movie chap). It's a small storefront and looks like a relic amongst more modern businesses that are building up on the LI forks. Don't let that sway you. Make the stop! Once inside you'll see how this is a vintage setup. Things seem family-owned (whether they are, I cannot say). Bags of chocolate-covered pretzels, marshmallows, Oreos, and plenty of other goodies line the walls. The display case is filled with truffles, jellies, and creams of varying flavors. Basically, you'd be hard-pressed in not finding something you'd wanna buy. Price-wise things are decent. You can grab 1/4 pound of candies for $4.50 which will pack in quite a few pieces. That's what my girlfriend and I did (to later dive into while sitting on the beach). Each piece we got (orange cream, caramel, peppermint, raspberry, and a few others) tasted homemade and not something from a Hershey's factory. It was a locally sweet treat to end the summer. Overall, The Candyman is a quality confectionary spot worthy of your sugar intake. It may be far off in Northeastern LI so it won't be something you'll necessarily visit often, but if you're heading out yonder, do yourself a favor and visit The Candyman. No singing is required.

A great quick-serve breakfast/lunch spot in the heart of downtown Greenport…read more A group of 7 of us wanted a quick breakfast after a yoga class, so we decided to stop by The Market. They had a good sized menu with your breakfast/lunch staples, and they're extremely vegetarian friendly! I had the platter with eggs and potatoes and it was delicious. They have alternative milk such as oat milk, so if you have a dairy allergy then you're in luck. There are some tables and chairs if you'd like to sit down, and there's a small grocery store section with lots of allergen friendly and vegan food options for purchase. The service was quick however one of our orders was incorrect: One egg sandwich was supposed to have avocado and tomato and it came with just eggs. Just be sure to double check everything before you leave if you have a larger order. Otherwise, everything was delicious and very decently priced.

I found Ezekiel cereal which I had never seen before. Overall great place.
