Avoid at all cost. 5.99 a gallon. I realized it after a half a gallon. Went inside to ask what was all that about. Was told the owner decided on that price 4 weeks or 4 months ago. Sorry couldn't remember which one read more

$6.00 per gallon! Enough said. Checked out of our resort and stopped here to fill up on our way back home. Didn't realize the gas was $6 until we pulled off! However, I did notice that it was a busy day with many people headed back home, but this gas station was nearly deserted. Red Flag!!! Every other gas station in the area charges 2-3 bucks a gallon. Put them out of business! Don't stop here!!!! read more

Visiting from Canada, driving around on a Sunday night looking for gas (tank was under a quarter), rolled into the Shell at Vineland Ave. Got out of the car, looked at the price on the pump, told the guy next to me, "did you see the price on the pump?". I went inside to inquire whether there was an error on the pump, and the attendant said "no". So I said, "so you're selling gas at $5.99/gallon while everyone else in town is $2.30/gallon?". The attendant said "yes". I said "thanks, see ya"......I can't imagine a Canadian retailer selling gas at 150% over the going rate. This place should be shut down. Total crooks. read more

DO NOT BUY GAS HERE...THEY OVERCHARGE AND THEY KNOW IT AND HAVE A SCREW YOU ATTITUDE. I realize they are privately owned and can charge whatever they want. Lots of factors determine the price of gas. But this station charges $5.89/gallon, while a Hess across from Downtown Disney charges $3.89/gallon. They are taking advantage of foreigners or tourist not familiar with the area. When I looked up gas prices online nearly all gas stations in the Orlando area were around 3.89/gallon. I called the station to complain and they basically told me "F K" off. I then called Shell Corp 713-241-6161. They said they would look in to it. read more

As of last week the price per gallon is $5.99. Unfortunately I did not pay attention and was a victim to the scam. I sent an email to Shell Corp and to the mayor of Orlando. Maybe if enough people follow suit we can exploit these gas stations and prevent others from being victims. read more

We had spent a pleasant day at Islands of Adventure and were driving back to our rented accomodation. As we were running low on gas and my husband asked the Sat Nav to find the nearest petrol station. It unwittingly lead us to the Shell station on Vineland Avenue which was quite busy. My husband filled the tank costing about 66 dollars. It was our first fill in the USA so we had no idea what the going rate for petrol was. I expected a few cents variation between the different oil companies. I had no idea that a garage could charge 2 to 3 dollars more per gallon than its competitors for fuel and not either go out of business or be shut down by the regulators. It is disgusting. Shell should be ashamed of itself for lending it's name to this sort of sharp practise. if there is a Florida tourist board it should tackle this slur on the Sunshine State. DO NOT FILL UP WITH SHELL VINELAND AVENUE ORLANDO Hilary O'Neill read more

As everyone else has stated...total tourist trap. I just paid $5.99 a gallon but only bought 2 gallons...enough to get down the road to the 7-eleven to pay a very normal $3.28 per gallon. No idea what type or nationality of the folks inside...but could only imagine. I could imagine a European going there and thinking that price was reasonable since in Europe they pay by the liter. Everyone should go there and take a giant dump in their toilet and not flush. And do believe that Disney should step in since they run this town...not the city elders. read more

Unbelievable this is total price gauging. Stay away. My tank in Miami is filled up at $35. I was distracted and noticed the price was up to $40 and once I noticed the tank was filled and I had paid 67 for a less than 10 gallons of gas. Isn't gas regulated and you can't sell it at such inflated prices? I had made a it habit to fill up at this shell prior to heading home but will never fill up here again! The pump stations didn't have prices listed only a sign half hidden by bushes and lost of posting for CeeCee's pizza. read more

Beware the bait and switch! These people would deserve a negative rating if it were possible. Some pumps are "normal" price for the area while others are $3 higher. If you're not paying attention and just swipe your card you'll get ripped off at this tourist trap. Take your business elsewhere to an honest station. I was lucky and noticed the difference and didn't fall for this scam. When I asked the attendant behind the counter about this, their response was "don't like it, don't buy it!." Shame on Shell for not taking action against this black mark on their reputation. Buyer beware! read more

$5.99/gal for regular!! There are no signs advertising price for a reason!! Buyer beware. This place is a rip-off.

This gas station was charging me $5.89 for regular unleaded during the week of spring break 2012. He said the owner set the price and would not return my money. This is unfair and un-Americanize. He gives Orlando and Shell a bad name. Other Gas Stations are charging $3.79. read more

Absolute criminals....I didn't even think to look at the price when I went in, only after did I see I had paid $5.99 a gallon, more than twice any other station....how can this be allowed to happen...if I didn't have better things to do I'd sit outside with a big sign to stop anyone else using it. Disgraceful...How can Shell allow this? read more

Vineland Shell gas station: we were charged $5.99 for regular gas in July 2015. A mile down the road, another Shell charged $2.55. I filed an online complaint with the Florida Attorney General's Office which offers option to report price gouging. If more people file complaints, maybe the State with take steps to protect consumers. read more

Went to fill before taking my rental car back. What a load of crap. I didn't want to waste time searching for a better price as I only had to top it off. Just put in 2.6 gallons and it cost $15.99. This station got my business, but it is the last Shell station ANYWHERE I'll spend any money. Shell had a good name until this happened. I'm with the rest of these reviews. No more Shell for me. read more

Gas around the country is at a low but yet this gas station, surrounded by tourism, is selling regular fuel for $ 5.99 a gallon. Appalling! No wonder it's empty. read more

DO NOT BUY GAS HERE. This place should receive negative stars. They charge $5.99/gallon while other places very nearby charge only $2 and some change. Gouger. Rip off. Tourist trap. Don't get trapped. Seriously, more fairly priced gas is available only a few blocks away. Keep driving! Don't let the convenient location get the better of you--that's what they count on. KEEP DRIVING FOR BETTER PRICES. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. read more

$5.99 for regular gas??? What a joke!!! Drive the extra 4-5 mins to the chevron/Mobil for $2.89.

If only there was a BUYERS BEWARE button! Do not purchase gas here! This franchisee set the gas price of $5.99/gallon 3 years ago. We drove past multiple gas stations down the road at $2.26/gallon. Decided to fill here because it was conveniently location by our hotel. When the receipt did not print, I looked at the amount and saw that 8 gallons of gas cost $50.60. My husband didn't see a sign posting the amount because it was located 5 feet from the ground! Coincidence, I think not! They are price gouging tourists! If it wasn't for the tourism in Florida the state would be broke. I contacted Shell and they apparently aren't concerned about the price gouging occurring at a franchise store that is representing their Shell name. Filed a dispute with my credit card company and I am filing a complain with the BBB. I think Shell needs to wise up and crack down on franchisees like this. They are only hurting themselves! This is in poor taste for Shell. Apparently they don't know the consequences of negative remarks! SHAME ON YOU AND SHAME ON SHELL! read more

This establishment are nothing short of crooks. This business is run by scumbags intent on taking advantage of unwitting tourists in the local area. Shame on me for failing to check prices prior to filling - newly arrived from Canada, had noticed rates around town at 2.49/Gallon as being average - dropped the family off for shopping nearby and quickly ran to fill up the tank before meeting up....didn't look at the price...could not believe when it rolled over $100 and suddenly realized I WAS PAYING 5.89/GALLON....and the tank was almost full by that time. I'm pretty sure there are laws against what they are doing, but what tourist is going to follow that up??? The staff inside were less than consoling when I asked how they could dare charge more than double local prices - the reply was..."that is our normal price and you don't need to buy here"....scumbags is far too kind a description of the owners and anyone working at this sad excuse for a business. I'm a stable person but had terrible thoughts about what I wanted to happen to this establishment. I would not be surprised if this place gets burned to the ground one day by someone less forgiving.... read more

Shame on Shell for allowing their name to be used to rob unsuspecting tourists. This station charges almost 3 times the rest of the city ($5.99 compared to $2.19 everywhere else). If you are staying at the Marriott Village Lake Buena Vista (Springhill Suites, Courtyard or Fairfield Inn) it looks like a convenient stop, but be prepared to sell your first and second-born children to pay the price they charge for gas. You would expect that kind of behaviour at a no-name station in some out of the way place with no gas for miles, but not from a place bearing the Shell name. However, this has been going on since at least 2012 according to an article from the Orlando Sentinel, and Shell's only response (based on their email today to my mother) is in effect "Nothing we can do; it's an independently owned franchise." When you ask what is wrong with America today, you have no farther to look than this gas station. read more
