Navigating the store can be a daunting task since it is filled to the gills with all sorts of food, drink and spirits, but the selection is fair and ample. The nice couple who own the establishment are cordial and accommodating. The husband may be a slight more reserved and quiet, but the wife makes up for it by greeting customers with a smile and sunny personality. I have known many owners at Pal's for over 30 years and all have been a pleasure to deal with. The prices may be a tad bit higher than elsewhere, but I am of the belief that I'd rather pay a little more at a local Mom and Pop neighborhood establishment than perhaps saving a couple of bucks at a big box retailer, Target or Safeway. Another plus is that they open early and staying late. If you are a soccer player, the store is frequented by young and old soccer players at MLK field right behind the store and is cherished by all when a refreshment is desperately needed after a strenuous workout!
