I can't compare pricing to other places as this is the only business I've been to for these services, but it never breaks the bank and she accepts different payment methods. Her hours are limited but with the amount of people that pick up and drop off clothes when I'm there, it makes sense why. And if you're lucky you might get a visit from her puppy as well :) Only reason I dropped a star is that it's a tight space when there are several people there.

Where do I even begin?! Lori is truly exceptional. My husband and I first started working with her…read morefor our engagement photoshoot outfits, and from the very beginning, we were impressed by her attention to detail, expertise, and honesty. She will absolutely tell you what works, what doesn't, and what can or can't be done without compromising the integrity of your garment - and that level of transparency is invaluable. There's something about having something perfectly tailored to your body that just feels LUXURIOUS! I trusted her work so much that I brought her my wedding dress for alterations, and she did not disappoint. We worked together for about five months to perfect the fit of a very intricate gown, and she handled every detail with care and precision. From adding straps, cups, and a bustle to making thoughtful adjustments along the way, she truly brought my vision to life. I sent a couple of my bridesmaids to her too. I've never met a fabric that Lori can't manage. And let me just say - if Lori tells you to add the straps...ADD THE STRAPS. I was determined to keep my gown strapless for the aesthetic, but she explained how the weight of the dress was affecting the fit and structure. I trusted her (as you should), and she was absolutely right. The straps made all the difference. Lori knows. Don't fight it! What meant the most to me was how she supported me throughout my personal journey as well. I lost nearly 60 pounds leading up to my final fitting, and Lori worked with me every step of the way to ensure my dress fit beautifully and made me feel my absolute best. She even gave valuable input on the style of shoes and the accessories that would truly bring my vision to life. Lori and her husband Nick are incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional. She remembers her customers by name and is always genuinely interested in what's going on in your life. You can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and takes pride in her work. While she may not be the cheapest option, she is absolutely worth every penny - this is not the place to cut corners when it comes to garments you've invested in. You pay for true expertise and quality work. And yes, for this reason she stays very busy. There are often many customers in and out when I'm there, but they handle everyone with ease and are always very transparent about the timeline. I've always received my garments back on time or early in many cases. I feel like Lori and Nick have become more like old friends. I highly recommend Tailor Studio to anyone looking for a tailor they can trust completely and get the same quality results every time!

I…read morewalked in with a pair of pants that fit like they were designed for a completely different person. They were too long, too baggy, and somehow made me look both shorter and wider at the same time. After bringing them to Express Alterations, they came back fitting perfectly. It felt like I had a brand new wardrobe without having to buy anything new. The staff was friendly from the moment I walked in. They listened to exactly what I wanted and somehow understood my confusing explanation of "make it fit better but not too tight but also not too loose." They were professional, patient, and clearly knew what they were doing. I left feeling confident that my clothes were in good hands. The turnaround time was also impressive. I expected to wait forever, but they finished much faster than I thought. When I picked up my clothes, the quality of the work was amazing. The stitching looked great, everything fit perfectly, and there wasn't a single thing I would change. It honestly looked like the clothes had been made for me from the start. I brought in one item expecting a simple alteration and left feeling like I had received a full makeover. My friends even noticed the difference. One asked if I had lost weight. Another asked if I bought new clothes. Nope. It was just Express Alterations working their magic. The prices were fair, the service was excellent, and the results exceeded my expectations. If you have clothes that don't fit right, don't throw them away and don't let them sit in your closet collecting dust. Take them to Express Alterations. They turned my fashion emergency into a success story and probably saved me from wearing badly fitting clothes for the rest of the year. Five stars. I would definitely come back again, especially the next time I accidentally buy the wrong size and convince myself it will somehow fit when I get home.

Extremely overpriced for simple alterations…read more First impressions: unorganized, smelly, and unwelcoming. I was quoted $50-$60 to shorten my graduation dress by about 4 inches, which felt outrageously expensive when I paid $35 for the dress itself. While giving me the quote, she mentioned that the dress was white. I found that odd because I didn't understand what the color had to do with how much length I wanted taken off. I can only assume she thought it was a bridal dress and expected me to pay more, but either way, it was a no-go for me. Another issue: I wasn't even able to try on the dress while she was giving me the quote, so I couldn't see how much length actually needed to come off. It turned out to be 7 inches, so imagine how much I would have been quoted! Thankfully, I found a little gem on Riverside Drive where I'm getting it altered and pressed for $25. Save your time, folks.
